I 100% started looking for a cricket in my shop this morning until I figured out it was on my phone. Walk away for a day or two. Then decide. We will watch no matter what you’re doing!
You can hang your weights on the down bars of the roll cage. Just my opinion, put the Nova back together. Race it until the end of the season. Work on Po Mod when there is nothing else going on. That will relieve the stress. You'll be ready to work on it again with no time restraints.

Matt just do it your way man. Just do it your way it's your car. You are doing a good job as you said I'm just amateur😅. You will have 4 or 5 different ways you want to do it. Just remember to make it accessible just in case you have to work on it or remove it. Everything will start to flowing once you start doing it. Just keep pushing and before you know it you'll be done. Keep up the good work.

On the doors, the same adjustable style plateson the door for your in/out adjustments help a lot. Also using panel bond or construction adhesive to glue the reinforcements to the fiberglass makes a massive difference. They are super solid and stay in adjustment way longer than just riveting the plates. Not talking shit, just trying to pass on some knowledge earned the hard way.

I got my project completed back in late May, got 3-1/8th mile passes in the books at a local legal street race in town, scaled it, added weight to the front end to get the car within easy adj. at the track within minutes at the track scales to my minimum weight for class, am ready to NHRA Class 5 STK/E.T. re-licensing and sure enough a heat wave hits, no nearby NHRA tracks are even open until early September. Now, in mid August along comes a once in 200 years or more south eastern pacific 🌀 hurricane that will be a Tropical Storm by the time it reaches us and the Las Vegas area. Just praying after flooding there is a place left to even get it done by September 8th. And that I can get to Bakersfield for the final double Divisional races of the season in early October.
The car is right, it sounds incredible, was still pulling in low gear at 7,000 RPM when I ran outta track on an 1/8th mile. It is almost harder Matt on my psyche sitting next to my long awaited completed project, without a track to race it at, than the prior 17 months completing it.
I'd say get the car 100% done and ready to rock before you take it out racing. You're working your ass off, so make it right, then unleash that beast on the competition! Dont cut yourself short!!!!

Just remember if you take your time with the po mid and keep working on it when you do get it done soon you can be testing and running very soon. Collecting data and everything. Instead of waiting till January you could be in the po mod racing still
Get the Nova ready enjoy the rest of the season and get back on the pro mod when time ain’t a factor. Then you can get the pro mod exactly the way you want it. What ever you decide I wish you well Matt.
I know you pay attention to the comments and read all of them too. There’s a Cajun hood scoop I’ve seen on everything I just don’t know the correct name. It’s kinda like a cowl hood, but it rise’s higher in the front and taper’s down towards the rear so you can see over the hood when using a tree, like bracket racing,so you can see the lights on the tree. They look badazz to. Might be able to buy the scoop and mount it to a hood cheaper than buying the entire hood. I think a hood/ complete car should be in the rule’s just because I been seeing a lot of mustang’s/ 1/2 half mustang street racing. If you need it for insurance purposes you need it for street racing is coming one day just not this day. I think it’s epic the way it’s thought out, not just thrown together. Great job and magnificent videos too.

Second just do an in tank fuel pump. Make your own sending unit. I did and worked out great. Used dash 10 with a 450 walboro

If you want to fabricate like a pro, you need a shop and tools like a pro. Add more time to your “should take time”. At $100. / hr. It takes 3 hrs,, at $150/hr. It takes 2hrs.

I would say throw a motor in the nova and race it. U know the nova in n out and would have a better chance to b in money than in a new build. Either way ima watch what happens tho. Just my two cents. Ok back to the video.
