Within a couple months, this channel has become my all time favorite. Y'all are awesome to say the least! When I'm not wrenching on a project I'm doing it through watching y'all. Best stuff ever!
All your episodes are awesome, but it was so cool you got that truck for Barb 🤘 That Polara is bad ass! I've always had a thing for early 60's mid and full-size cars, especially the max wedges and Pontiac super duties. I think of them as the Titans of Greek mythology, just pure brute force. And the muscle cars, and pony cars, that came later as the Olympians...I guess I'm kind of a nerd 🤓😄
How do you know Tony Angelo is one of the good guys? Who else buys his friends dream truck out from under him, and then turns around and gives it to him. Freaking awesome. Loving this Channel more and more. Good work.
I think you should turn this thing into a gasser straight axle on leaf springs in the front. Cheap cheap gasser to mob around in. Would definitely need to be a four speed to bang shift some gears. Love the episode!!!
I like the talk about going far for a car. I drove 7 hours for my 95 ram and it’s got the 5.2 5 speed 4x4 single cab short bed and it only had 120k miles on it. Drove it 7 hours back home no problemo 👌🏼 best 4800 bucks I spent
Nice work guys I love that old Mopar! And it's awesome seeing Tony be so generous and just the excitement even in an $800 truck and a $3,000 car that's the good life
Loving the Polara! That 383 sounds fantastic. The 70 383HP version was 330HP and like 425 torques, (I think) so that thing built and cammed up, 400hp?? Probably. Bet that thing would just look wicked in black primer and steelies with chrome moon hubcaps. And dude, you are a great friend to your bros. So cool what you did for him. Sneaky too..Nicely done.
Dude I'm so stoked for the stuff you're putting out! It just has this non-corporation vibe that I really missed from RK for example for a few years. Just a bunch of guys out wrenching on old stuff. Please keep it that way, it's just so entertaining! All the best from Germany!
Another great video guys 👍👍👍👍. Enjoy this channel even more then the HRG , great content! That firebird was really roached out LOL. Your right on the history of that b body dodge as a track car. I think Steve Mags is a big fan of the dodge you ended up buying and is also building on it. Keep up the great content 😊
My first car was a '64 Dodge 440 bought at Reedmans in Langhorn in 1969. Couldn't resist swapping a 383 from a Plymouth Sports Fury for the old 318 Poly. Young and foolish; it still makes me smile.
Toni I've been watching auto shows now basically since they all started. Ive paid for subscriptions and your show and channel is by far more superior than any I've ever watched. Keep this up, poor car guys live through yall. Great job! 💪
Flooring it inside to break the tires loose. Absolute madman. Getting Barb that truck? A single happy manly tear rolled down my cheek. Best car show on UA-cam. By far.
Yeah boy Friday Rocks!!! You guys got a deal... that engine is probably worth the $3500 itself running. Have fun with that setup. My dad had a 64 Polara with a factory 413 4 bbl black on black. Car he met mother in. Awesome history.
I love the Polara styling, and that motor sounds good. The '80 short box is sweet also. I've always liked the '73-'80 Dodge styling. Probably why I've held on to my '80 Powerwagon for over 20 years. I was searching for another '80 Ramcharger that I always regretted selling with no luck. Stumbled on the Powerwagon, over paid in 2002, $2500 but it was 360, 4 bbl., 4 spd., Clubcab. No regrets. Just like you said, if it catches your attention, jump on it before someone else does.
Can't wait to see the truck and car come together!! Both are sick!! We want more driving and track time of possible!! Plus a bunch of wrenching!! Glad you're channel is coming together Tony Angelo!! I'm from birdsboro outside of Pottstown PA
@Tony : 2 things you'll want to do with this car, 1) put a 65 or newer rear end in it. It IS an 8 3/4, but has the bolt/nut axles and they are the WORLD'S biggest PITA!!! 2) Either contact Imperial Services for a set of transmission cables and replace what is in there, OR,,,,, put in a 66' or newer 727 and an aftermarket ratchet shifter..... Do those things and you will LOVE this car forever!!!! Then when you get into REAL LOVE with this car, I have a 65' Coronet 500 from California with zero rust you can buy from me and even get a vacation in Florida along with it..... You can visit Cletus while you are here... ;)
Fun fact about oil priming: very large industrial engines will have an air operated "prelube" pump that lubricates the engine before starting. On a CAT 3600 you need to activate this system before you even roll the engine to adjust valves.
Great stuff! I’m looking forward to seeing the old Polara shined up.😎 Good on you man... I am glad you immediately snagged the truck for your bro. He found an incredible deal! At that price... it would have definitely been gone. Thanks for the tip of putting something on a vehicle to keep it from slipping away. That’s my problem...my want is always bigger than my wallet...🤣🤷🏻♂️😎
What a score, the Polara's were a great find, I have a buddy who has had a couple of those for years. One has a trick 440 with fender well headers in jet black, bracket car, the other is a race car that has been front and back halfed with stroker 500+" BBM. They always draw a lot of looks at the track and car shows, really worth getting them fixed up and going again, great job guys.
The prices for a decent hot rod is ridiculous. I got a 7.3 diesel TT and looking for a 70s Mopar to throw it in. Love the show. Sikeclone is sick brother.
