Nice, comprehensive review. Living in the mountains and having the community mailboxes about a mile from the house, this e-bike might be a good solution to grab the mail and get a bit of exercise while having a motor-assist on the steeper inclines to and from.
I recently bought the version 1.0 in Canada. I wish I had the hydraulic brakes. That remove a lot of cables bulging in front of the bike so you can now put a basket. They still have maintain the key underneath which is a pain to operate. No weight reduction that I can see. 60 pounds is not that easy to lift, especially for seniors and women. Beside the added accessories and the colour display it is identical.
What if your budget is even more tight? Is there one that you would recommend for someone who just can't drive and needs to be able to get places? Nothing really too long of a ride. Anything outside of local will be going on buses. Though the issue is not living close enough to a bus stop.
To be honest… you’re gonna have a hard time finding an electric bike for less$… Buying used will be your only option. Then you take some risks with inheriting someone else’s problems.

Right on!
Cool bike and great review perfect for someone who doesn't have much space. I would love one to go to the gym.
Buy a Jupiter defiant.... It'll go 35 and folds, 750 watt hub😂 48v 10.4ah.

@wolfhound146 hoverfly ourea is a good budget friendly option with good reviews. Coming in less than $600
Still prefer my zizzo with a bafang mid drive and 1300wh battery. Only weighs 53lbs and has normal size tires that don't kill efficiency/range.
