Good going dude... Wonderful Wyoming, tough place man. Lived there. West side is one of the most in hospitable places in all creation. Wind blows non-stop, sagebrush and volcanic rock. Did I mention the rattle snake... o.m.g. But there is some really nice gold. You got to work your fingures raw to get it but it will be worth it in the end. Sorry about yer luck on that rathole you hiked into, cowboy's are a funny breed... And the answer to your question is: I usually find some gold, but if its enough to look at is a different story, say 1/5 or maybe if your lucky, 3/10 will produce enough gold to make me smile...👍😉
From Wyoming originally. There is a creek that runs thru Moorcroft that my aunt would walk each weekend with a pan and would return with a few grams of gold each time - she found enough to pay her bills and mortgage. Also between Casper mountain and muddy mountain are a of abandoned silver mines. There are also a lot of quartz deposits next to granite all through the area which may carry gold too. ALSO - you were most likely on BLM land and the rancher has a lease to run animals on it. The fence is probably not legitamte
A lot of the bigger Ranchers in many of the Western States lease grazing land from the U.S. F.S. and BLM and it's usauly fenced and posted to keep believe it or not people from stealing their Cattle .
Well I would say about 100% for me..See,I take a trip out to my mailbox, most of the time surprised to find some Klesh Paydirt,I take it out to my panning area and usually find between 1/4 to 1 gram of gold depending on the day..Not a bad haul I'd say..🤣🤣🤣
I'm glad you can get out and about, my city is still in total lockdown with a night curfew. I haven't been outside the house in over three weeks. I am living vicariously through you, so keep up the good work.
For a Montana episode, they have lots of gold, sapphires and fossils. And if you plan on doing another Idaho video, if you head north to Emerald Creek, you can find star garnets which are mainly only found in two places on Earth. Just some suggestions
Bummer that you didn't make it to where you wanted to go, but, THANK YOU for cleaning up after the pigs! I have family in Casper, and will let them know that you helped them out.....
Welcome to Wyoming!! I've only searched around a bit but have found some flour gold panning in small creeks on the south end of the Bighorns.. Remember, never say the four letter word... Yeah, the one that starts with W and ends in IND. :-)
So cool you pick up the rubbish/trash lol. Me and my 7 year old daughter go litter picking around our village and local beach every Saturday. We all have to do our bit just wish more people did. Love the content as always
That is the thing with ranchers out here. They fence it off to keep people out of public land and claim it is theirs. You get the Wardens out and they back off immediately. Had that problem up north on BLM land for hunting a lot.
Back in my day we didn't have buckets to carry dirt.we did two handfuls at a time.walking miles back to process in the snow barefooted up hill both ways.
Hi Shane, if prospecting was easy every fool would be doing it! Now that Labor Day is over and the tourists have left my corner of the Manistee National Forest my wife and I will spend the next few weeks filling several big garbage bags with the trash they leave behind. Nothing is worse than going to the places you love and seeing trash. Take care brother!
Hi again, nice video. That's some very thorough research, deserved a big find 😊. Beautiful scenery as well. So it was still a good day I think, Natalie 👍😎✨
Loved the video in Massachusetts. Saw you in the picks for me, and you showed up here, how cool!! I do panning here in the attleboro, mass. Area. Just for fun, and the unknown that could be there.( its behind a major mecca for all the world that comes too. And its right down the street. So on the grounds its wallets and rings, but the path buy a creek has tons of iron and quartz.
Awesome!!! Just got me a mini sluice for my cleanups of my cons. I really enjoy your videos, and would be FAR behind if it wasn’t for you and your channel. Watching now, so hopefully it ends great!
I dislike it when people leave there trash about. My husband and I used to be homeless and we took care of our spot. We were camping off a portage trail so people left us alone. Whatever we brought in we would take out. Before we got our first apartment together we completely cleaned up our spot and made it look like we weren't even there minus the flat spots from our tents which there was nothing we could do about that.
I'm listening with headphones in and from about 8:16 on, it sounds like there's a possessed spirit trying to break through!! Hahahaa be safe out there!!!
Wind River Range Miners Delight/ Hamilton City. And. South Pass City. Both have old miners Ghost Towns with old river beds, rivers and streams. Gold is fine. Very Fine!
Hey I’m out here at cache creek, on a great spot. Was wondering if you're interested in coming out I ran five buckets through my sluice yesterday and was getting about a quarter to half a gram per bucket. Well half bucket actually. On my way home to KC from Myrtle Creek Oregon. Been out there prospecting/mining for the past five weeks. Planning on being here till about one or two tomorrow afternoon, after which I’m meeting a friend in Colorado Springs. Hope to see you here. Take it easy man. J
I'm guessing you were somewhere down around Laramie. I just went out yesterday and got some gold but I live up in Cody. It was a beautiful day and I didn't do too bad on the gold. You should come on up sometime.
Wyoming, the only time the wind stops is to change direction. LOL Not a fail, you were able to get out and explore and enjoy the day. Possibly a place to gather a few mushrooms next year, stomach gold.
I’ve tried prospecting a lot of areas in wyoming, only had decent luck in medicine bow, big horns had some small pieces, never found a picker here though, let me know if you come back through, I’ll be an adventure buddy lol
honestly this is like most my trips, probably 70% is going to a place doing some prospecting, finding nothing or fly poop, or locked gates, or sheer cliffs.
If it's the video where you're scraping the sidewalks of New York City? I did watch that video. I was actually looking for a more traditional place to find gold in NY.
Number one we have more wind here in Chicago number two is you could have taken bottled water with you number three you could have dug a hole somewhere just out of curiosity come on clutch we wanted to see what was in that dirt okay
What percentage of your "Gold Prospecting" trips have you come home empty handed? It's about 50/50 for me. Thanks for watching!
I always get something out of a trip! About 50/50 on actual treasure 🤣 been in Wyoming several times in my life and it's always windy!

99.9% of the time. Unfortunately England absolutely sucks but I'll always love this place ❤ 🏴
With nothing at all?? Only when it's flooded or I give it away. Come to N.C. I can put you on some gold, going for half ounce this year👍👍
I have a piece of float that I knock some gold off of to say to to my wife "I found gold" but that's kinda cheating.

Yep there were cows behind the fence.
Good Information. Great comment.

Sometimes it's not the outcome but the trip, makes life worth living. Always better than sitting on the couch day after day
awesome video Shane yeah a little windy but still a great view of the walk you took thanks for posting :)

That’s cause it is there’s I live here In Wyoming I know also my fam owns the Ramsey ranch
If I could figure out how to post a picture I could show you my wyoming gold, always love helping fellow prospector..
Back in my day we didn't have buckets to carry dirt.we did two handfuls at a time.walking miles back to process in the snow barefooted up hill both ways.

Same. We weren’t drinking hard seltzer either 🙄

In NC a lot of the National forest is privately owned

@@FlourgoldWizards I just loved your comment. Straight line with a lot of humor
Way to go Rigby...
The worst day prospecting is better than the best day not prospecting.

You're good, Shane. Always look forward to any of your videos.
I have a cabin in Wyoming and in douglas creek there is more gold than arapahoe bar! Wyoming is an awesome state! great vid!
I get you about picking up trash, but sometimes its overbearing. But in a pile i found a nice vacated turtle shell. Pretty cool find.
You could cross that fence. It is just a grazing barrier. It's meant to keep cows in, not people out.
You are awesome man thanks for the video and welcome to Wyoming!! It's 50-50 for me on the gold.
I am sorry that you didn't find any gold. I am glad that you found a potential new mushroom spot.
Hey klesh love your vids keep it up!
Somebody out there growing cannabis with that empty catch pan.great video
Hey Kelsey don’t give up on Wyoming!!
Awesome!!!
Just got me a mini sluice for my cleanups of my cons.

Fun to see the area, it’s life! So no apology!!
hello my friend :) hello from Greece , we wanna see a good video with a new gold pay dirt bag !!

Us prospectors are the janitors of the forest. Every one else makes a mess and we clean it up.
Jason and Rigby do it good in Wisconsen...
That fence is likely a grazing land barrier.
Agreed!

Sweet adventure great video of a beautiful area so sad about garbage laying around been out is a score no gold oh well still a great time thank you

I’ll be out of state this week but I can definitely check it out if you send me the GPS coordinates to my email kleshkrums@gmail.com
It's the successful scouting trips that make all the unsuccessful ones still worth it... still Far better than sitting on the couch LOL
It was nice to see the sights another good video
Dude it’s not prospecting if you don’t have days with nothing. Everyone would do it if it was all pans of glory. Cheers dude!!

Nothing fails as long as we can try, greetings youtuber friends from Indonesia
You get that, well done for trying
Wyoming native here. You should try douglas creek. It is known for good gold.
Will check it out thanks

Have fun and take care and take it easy and enjoy it

Bummer, but nice scenery.
You should have brought a nugget metal detector with you.... easier than hauling out dirt. Pulse Induction or a gold tailored VLF.
In all of my study of the history in this area no gold was ever mentioned. The wind is ever present a long ways north and south of there.
Well done buddy!
I was wondering if there's any place in NY state that has gold? I live about 400 miles away from NYC in a town called Rochester.
You need to watch my New York episode
If it's the video where you're scraping the sidewalks of New York City? I did watch that video. I was actually looking for a more traditional place to find gold in NY.
@@srt8madman727 correct the sidewalk video. There is natural gold in New York but due to state law, keeping it is illegal.
Try the Wind River Range old mining area near there.
I live in Wyoming my grandpa owns a lot of claims here up in Atlantic city
The garbage in nature. That always upsets me.
FGW is right. You're a good caretaker * laughs.
Would have harvested the puffballs and taken them home to spore a new spot 🤔
I miss Wyoming can’t wait to move back
Its always windy in wyoming
WHAT?? LOL Here I thought Chicago was bad, but this takes the cake. Good luck Bro! {}
Did you know that there's only 2 escalators in the state of Wyoming
The gpaa claims are actually pretty good in wy. You would be surprised
This is a standard day for me 😂
7:58 ?Jack skellington puffball?
No gold, but a great video either way. Team 42%!
Hey it was a nice hike right? it isnt always about the gold, just most of the time LOL
Can I send you box a garbage bags so you have a refuse container, Custodian of the Forrest? To help in your efforts.
Watching this video was like déjà vu Lol
An adventure is an adventure. Hope you enjoyed it. I did.
State Line District.
Will do
I know of a place in Wyoming full of gold and other minerals.
Where?
Google maps satellite view is your friend
This is very true
My home state!
It happens 🤘
They don't call it prospecting for nothing lol
Wait you can eat puffballs???
yes
Windoming!!!
I’m on that 42%!!! Yeah Lol!

Number one, no Chicago isn’t more windy. Number two I did bring bottled water (to drink). Number three there was no viable ground to test
What’s click bait?
Google it
Go visit hole in the wall I’ve found lots of gold there
Yes, Wyoming is a failed state.
You should get a donkey.
