Mr. Knot, as you know I really like that design, the perfect blend of profile and weight which helps me with speed. This to me is a recipe for cleaving wood. Another great one in SEASON TWO....
Would you rather have the Saxon or Spaltaxe as a splitter? I dont wanna buy two different axes. Noticed the Saxon is better for larger tasks like rounds, but is it viable as a splitter for regular firewood as well?
Well dang, I thought I’d be first but someone beat me to it. I’ve got the same sharpeners and have had the same issue, probably operator error. I went back to a regular file or my grinder.

It does split well. However, since I can't buy from Helko, I have my eyes on a Muller 6.6lb.
I chop wood with Finnish axes Fiskars x25 and x27. I like them very much. you have good videos, keep it up - we like to watch

If you happen to see this, you mentioned that the Saxon is your favorite splitter. Do you still think that? How did this one compare?
I have one of these and it’s a beautiful and effective axe. I’m a bigger guy and I find the handle is too short. Nice video. 🇺🇸
Looks like a good head profile but I've never used one. Looking forward to some of the other stuff you have planned. Have a good one.
Thanks for watching! Stay tuned!
