Drilled and slotted look so good! Never knew that was how you broke in new brakes. Bloopers 🤣😅
I love the look. Bloopers were more extra than normal. 😂
Good stuff! Just ordered some for my Honda fit. Drilled and slotted rotors will look great behind my Konigs and super affordable.
Thanks for the break in process steps too. Video is much easier than reading it.
Glad to help!
Thanks for putting out this content. Like the blooper takes too, they're funny, haha!👍🏼
You're welcome.
Beading in the brakes right ✅. The new slotted and drilled rotors make it look 👌🏻.
Thank you, few hundred more miles and they should really start performing well.
Rotors look real nice. Need the drilled and slotted on my next brakes! Perfect road to break them in too
Breaking in is a fun process too.
Sounds good!
Thank you
….This is So HEAVY 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. So glad I kept watching to see bloopers 😂 respect 🫡
🤣 Bloopers come natural to me.
Just ordered a set. Can't wait to break em in 😂 Thanks for the tips! Good shit
Hope they work out well for you.
Nice video man, and even nicer car. I’m interested in a full brake set for my Maxima
Been almost two years and still working great.
Did u get any grinding noise and then squeaks loud when u come to a complete stop? I install these on my 435i and it's been a mo th now and I get a grinding noise when I break than tends to squeak very loud
Have not had any issues yet. Did you get the right size rotors? I know there were so many different rotor sizes made for F series cars.
How are the holding up? I need brakes on my 2006 330ci and was looking at this kit.
Holding up great. No rust yet after a year. Wear is good and no warping. Just put their geomet on my 335 and they are doing well too.
How are the rotors holding up? R1 told me to go with OEP pads for racing/street compared to ceramic pads. Hawk brakes don’t make pads for my car unfortunately.
They held up well. Just changed them out recently. They went 35k miles and still had surface left. I just like to change out early.
@@CarsWithKeav thanks for the reply! I got them put on my Accord I like them however I wish I went with yellow stuff pads. They don’t feel too different compared to stock but I guess it might improve after the break in period!
First minute and ten seconds in and I am again assured that I am not missing anything from being 100% Mercedes over BMW
That’s cool. I’m 100% BMW over Mercedes. Great thing is we all get to choose what we like.
@@CarsWithKeav absolutely
do you install ? break for
mazda cx-5
I don’t install. I have a shop do it.
hey man what wheels are you running? they look good
BBS CIR 20 inch
Hey! Nice video! But quick question where are the wheels from are they replica or original wheels? Thxxx
Ended up finding out they were knockoffs after my wife hit an object in the road and bent two of them. Ended up going BBS after that.
Good mechanic would to the break in procedure.
Most likely, but for the video wanted to show the process and a good portion of people do their own brakes.
Is this the WHWH2-31087? I ordered the wrong brakes should’ve watched your video first.
I am unsure as not too long after this video they changed how they distribute their brakes using Amazon and other sites. I never orders these as they sent them to me for the video. I just gave them my model and they sent them out. I didn’t keep the boxes to know the exact part number. Sorry, couldn’t help more.
So after the wait we can use the break to completely stop or still no?
Once they are cooled down you can do as you please.
@@CarsWithKeavcan’t you just continue driving to cool them down faster like hop on the freeway and cruise without using the brakes
@@ReDz_F36 You could, but you risk a sudden unexpected stop that will heat them up more and possibly if a full stop have a really bad pad imprint on the rotor.
Why did you go with OEP rather than ceramics?
They sent these to me and OEP was the pad they wanted to be reviewed.
any issue since you installed it?
None so far. No rust yet either.
these are the non m break option right?
Correct, this is the stock brakes for this model. They were just painted red afterward.
shouldn't the mechanic bed the brakes in for you? Mine does
You can have them bed in your brakes, but most shops do the same bed in process and all manufacturers have different processes. Since I was making a video about it I wanted to make sure it was done right and most people do their own brakes as well.
@@CarsWithKeav fair enough. i just thought that is was odd you did it. but makes sense doing it for the video
Are they better than evolution?
I have not tied those to know. I know they feel better compared to stock.
How are they now? Rust?
No rust at all on any painted surface. Just a little bit where the paint and rotor surface meet, but it wipes off easy. I’m very surprised we are almost two years on these.
Any updated Discount Codes? About to purchase
Not that I know of they changed their business model and don’t use them anymore from what I know.
Have you had any issues with rusting ?
None so far.
@@CarsWithKeav how do these compare to Hart or power stop evolution?
Are these lighter than stock?
They felt about the same in all honesty.
@Cars With Keav can you recommend rotors that would be light weight? Ebc? Also you think the gran coupe 440i xdrive is track worthy?
@@WhiteBeardDetail I’m not sure my knowledge on brakes isn’t that great. It’s possible as a track car, but it is longer and modifications for the 440 are limited compared to a 340. B58 is solid from what I hear on the track. Oil starvation doesn’t seem to be an issue like the previous N55.
@Cars With Keav yea I bought one a month and a half ago now, been doing all its maintenance. My first mod was a larger heat exchanger from CTS (csf was too expensive) but completely forgot you have one too. I just watched for the detailing content! Thank you for everything man.
