This is the video I have been waiting for. I have been curious how to do this and you have answered my questions. Thank you so much.

Cheers mate. It really was a simple job. Will be more difficult without a plug. Must try that at some point

Very informative as I too have been looking for a solution to work with my factory installed Tsunami2 on an Athearn Genesis Dash 9 HO scale. In searching the TCS website, I found that they offer a "-P" series (KA1-P, KA2-P, etc.) which appears it would connect directly into the Soundtraxx decoder without having to purchase a Soundtraxx harness. Do you know if the TCS "-P" versions would work without having to cut off the connector and adding the Soundtraxx harness? Maybe TCS came out with this offering after you had already purchased their "-C" product'. Thank you for the excellent video!

No problem. I am not sure about the P type as I haven't seen them (at least here in the UK). I checked their website. It doesn't explicitly say you can but it does look similar. I would check their paperwork to see what they say. 09122110-fb14-4cd5-92e8-876baa0f5900.usrfiles.com/ugd/091221_8f06dd643370411c827267934b9cbc3d.pdf
