It all depends on size and what brand has that size available... Then once you find that brand/size, make sure the tires are a newer tire via the date code. Everyone has a different experience between tires of the same brand or size... let alone comparing brands based on climate, driving style and city vs highway vs rural/mountains. 18s and 20s are easier to have multiple choices vs a 16 or 17, 22 or 24 inch wheel
What are your thoughts on the Nokian Rockproof? I've been running their Hakkapelitta snow tires for 20+ years and love them, but have no experience at all with their truck tires.
I had a 2wd 03 Tacoma with km3s got them just because they looks soooo sick . I have them on my ‘22 4x4 Tacoma but I want some mpg looking into hybrids thanks mate
Which AT or a hybrid tire would perform best in warm weather rain for a heavy SUV? I also overland and go camp in snow a a 3pmsf is a must. Is there a such tire exist? Thanks..
@@betogray9765 I’m running 33x12.5 20 load range e on a 2 inch leveling kit but I have no complaints as far as traction goes but I’m only running my tires at 40psi
@@carterb9227 only on snow and ice covered pavement. They held firm, did great! Haven't had a chance to have fun in the snow with them, or in the mud for that matter . Great for rocks/rough terrain so far! 👍👍
Kanati has issues balancing. I have them and love them, but this set won't balance out good. Mud,snow, rock crawling and longevity is great compared to my others I had
BGF has been putting out the KO2 since 2015 (according to my quick google search) and with minor improvements it has been the benchmark for what all AT tires strive to be. That being said, ALL the other companies are putting out new tires every few years or so trying to take that crown. so I doubt we will se a whole new redesign for a KO3 until something truly takes the crown away. I just got the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT's and I LOVE them.
I was on the original BFG KOs [33x10.5] for 16years in my 1985 K-10 Chevy Blazer. Never had any issues and the tires were absolutely awesome in every road condition, even on snow and ice. Now I'm on the new generation BFG KO2s [35x12.5] in my 2018 Silverado and these tires are performing Even Better!! On or OffRoad, wet or dry, sand or mud (and they're Snow Rated), these tires are just BadAss!! But I don't expect a KO3 version for a long time - seeing as the current release is literally King of the Road.

Excellent explaining tires. Got my first mini 4dr Jeep. I’m excited

Great points, couldn't agree more!

Can you do a video comparing weights on all the mud tires and extreme/all terrain tires?

Good choice!
They really need to make vehicles with on the fly push button tire changes.
Luv my Kenda Kleaver RT 10 ply tires 💪

Toyo at3’s good in all
Wether I got lt on my chevy2500 bought 285 /55/20 for my Lexus and ebc hd brakes an rotors
This is like the tenth tire video saying not to buy tires in the pic
Do recommend airing down your tires when driving in severe snow or in my case when they forget to plow the street 😭 I have the general grabber atx
How you like your AXTs? What size are you running?

Yes
@@TrailBuilt how low should I drop the tire pressure to ?
@@civic30045 I would drop down about 10 to 15. This all depends on the thickness and depth of the snow. If it's just a few inches, keep them inflated.
Great vid and advice..
Went with the toyo RT on my Ram 1500. No regrets👍👍

How ofter are new styles released? Will there be a be ko4 or something new in the near future?
Yes; BFG will skip right over the KO3.

WHERE PART 2 OF THE XJ BUILD
What the hell is the website? Strobo’s off-road?
No tire is built perfect. except ofcourse *whips out milestar Patagonia*
When in doubt, BFGoodrich (Toyo is second)
2016 GX460 BFG K02 265/65/18, didn't realize how bad the ride was.
Only problem is ordering from yall costs me like $300 more than I found on other sites
There's a mom and pop style tire shop near me and I can get tires for roughly $200 less than on CO or Trail build website
We do offer free shipping, mounting, and balancing.
There's a new type of tire now called all weather tires
That's really not possible...
I hate this. I feel like no matter what I pick it's gonna be wrong.
the audio in your videos is wayy too low man. turn it up. i gotta crank my speakers and then everything is loud as HELL!! lol
Thanks for the heads up! We will make sure and get that figured out!
