Hallo, Anja! I just discovered your channel earlier today. I went to your website and tried to enroll for your class, but saw that the course started Monday of this week. Is there any way to be enrolled late into a course?
Hey, Anja there's a person in the comments impersonating you offering a free reward. They're doing a telegram scam asking the person to pay for shipping for an IPhone 14 Pro.
Hello, good evening. I just found your on UA-cam I don't know how to enroll in private. Is it possible for you to teach me in private ? And how can I reach you?
I have been self-studying for 2/½ months and honestly it was an easy test, i got 17 out of 20 right. My only problem is fully understanding the native speakers speak, and I think that comes with time. The most important thing is to be motivated and to have patience, and as much as I did good on the test, I still think the real test is to keep up with the native speaker in real-life conversations because that's where it matters the most.
Absolutely true! I have been tutoring a lot of students of different ages (and also children with learning disabilities) in German and the most important thing is motivation and fun! and that applies to every age. I try to find out what they like and include those topics into my sessions or videos (right now only geared at ages 6 to 12) and in a fun way, I hope. Generally, I find that there is not much material for the various age groups that address their interest levels but also their (German) language level. I really like Anja's channel here! She is up to date, young and fun for a wide audience of adolescent and adult learners. I hope you keep having fun!
I'm writing the B1 exam in 2 weeks. I just stumbled on your videos luckily and I'm glad. I got all the exercises correct, that's really good for me. Vielen Dank für Ihre helfen 😊.
B1 - I'm pleasantly surprised! I've never done any formal German lessons or qualifications (I am largely self taught from textbooks) but this makes sense for me because I can understand and speak German well enough to understand basic German conversation. Good to know the level I'm at so I can tell people when they ask!
I failed my first A2 grammar test, have been studying hard and was surprised to get 15 points. This has boosted my confidence to do my certification again. Danke schön Anja 😊 I love your delivery and excellent teaching skills 👌
I think it over-estimates ability. I am currently 1/4 through my A2 course and I scored 20 points on this test ... and no there was no guess work required.
Shocked myself that I actually retained a lot of what I previously studied. I’ve been thinking about starting German courses again but was unsure what level I was at since it has been a handful of months. I’m stoked that I landed in A2! That seems about right and I think I will enroll and continue to study. It’s super fun. :D thank you for this!
How is this accurate if you're translating the questions as you go? *edit - thought this would be a good gauge of my German but you're translating and coaching through every question, so I'm getting a lot more correct than I would without the help. You said don't cheat or use a dictionary, but I don't have to when you're translating and pointing out the wrong answers even as some of the audio questions play.
I know this was posted a year ago, however found this really practical and helpful to reinforce the language. A2 level. Will keep studying! Thanks for your great videos
19 / 20 - I had to prematurely stop a little over halfway through the first class, but I am coming back to finish because I for sure want to get my A1 certificate :) The one I missed was the guy saying the numbers in the bakery - I listened to it multiple times, and at no time did I ever hear him say "fünf" at the beginning of the word, which is why I missed it. You said it clearly, but it sounded closer to vier when he said it.
B1! mit 18 richtig. Better than I thought. I guess a certain online app and Berlitz have paid off more than I thought possible! Still love your sketches since my listening skills are poor. Thanks for all you do on this channel!
Me too!!! Woooow I'm finishing A2 level and I got 15 right answers 😂I can't believe it! I also feel confident to jump into B1. Anja bitte, mehr pruefungen wie diese! Jaaa 💕
"Wo ist Katie" - "Sie ist zu Hause" / "Sie ist nach Hause (gegangen)". Both can be right, depending on circumstance. The latter somewhat using an ellips in colloquial speach and implying "she was just here, but left for home".
Du bist sehr nett zu uns, Anja! Ich habe deine Prüfung genossen. Ich bekam 18/20.....aber in der Schule lerne ich nun A2.1. Vielen Dank....du bist ausgezeichnete Lehrerin.
6:05 I like the way you caught yourself, and changed from "If it was" to "If it were." In USA... 98% of native English speakers say, "If it WAS..." This is wrong but everyone says it like that. So, in this regard, Anja, you speak better English than 98% of native English speakers in USA. 🙂 👏
I got 15/20😃 woohoo! but I still have to finish my A1 course😅 haha it's an on and off learning (self study) Vielen Dank, Anja for this! Now I'm motivated to continue and learn more💚
I scored low, but I've really started to get an "eye" and especially an "ear" for Deutsch, so I'm happy with that! (It's so exciting to watch German videos and understand what's going on).
I got 17/20😊! I finish A1.2 course in online class for 6 months. Soon im going to take my exam, i hope i can pass my exam. Your videos is really helpful to everyone. Dankeschön!
Zehn! :)
always watch your videos, really helpful and your my fist German teach I have learned a lot from you in youtube. B1 with 17 marks. Thanks for sharing this test.
Wow... I got 20/20 😍🤩🥳💯🎉 I've been learning German by myself for like 4 months 📚📝 I'm currently focusing on A2 level and my purpose is B2! 💪🏻🔥✨ Thank you Anja, you just made me have confidence more and keep motivated!!! 😁
Without the subtitles I could understand what was happening with occasional words and the video itself. It is still somewhat difficult to understand because of the speed (plus my mild hearing loss--but have aids--Hörgerät). I love the course I am in currently, but insufficient tune to complete in 10 weeks (maybe). But I love the course, look forward to all German. What sets this course above others are the Happy German ladies answering questions re: anything German involving the course.
Wow, that was a great video. I've mainly done my German learning through Duolingo, with light UA-cam videos auf Deutsch scattered in. I got 11/20, not bad. Either way, informative and fun video, thanks!
Ich habe acht! I've been studying on Duolingo and of course watching your videos for the past 9 months. It does get a bit confusing with studying from different sources because I feel like I knew some of the ones I got wrong but either I learned the word differently or haven't figured out the proper conjunction.
I got 17 but forgot some grammar rules (which I knew annoyingly), I think I would certainly be B1 level. Thanks for the test I found it useful and affirming.
Duolingo and your videos are the only experience I have ever had with German. I am pleased, and actually extremely surprised, to find that I got 14 correct answers. Ausgezeichnet!
I’ve been studying German for about 5 months and scored 17/20. That would place me in B1 (meaning I am now working on B1? Or have passed B1 and am now working on B2?) but I doubt that my German is that good. Like others who have commented here, I lack experience with conversation. Also, I have been following Anje’s A1 course, so I have been exposed to a couple of these questions previously.
Hallo. Danke shon. I got A2 Pre-intermediate, and I haven't studied grammar yet. I started to learn German last week and would like to know if anyone has any tips. I plan to buy 2 books. - A book for A1 plus grammar and the 100 short stories book. I'm also considering classes in January to better my skills. I manage 19, but only because there was time to think; usually I make silly mistakes. I think most Germans talk fast, because many don't know the complicated, crazy endings, and don't use them. And I did not have to phone a friend when you were there in the video giving hints.
As per the test I got B1 😀, however i have to keep working on the listening and speaking parts, but i have an issue with writing ,as i have no one to revise it😔thanks Anja for your efforts, really appreciate it

I hope it's not loaded with mistakes.

2 mistakes ... in a preposition (an oder auf) and an article ... articles are all B2 C level in my opinion (vector mit accusative and placement mit dative are easier)
Alles Gute.
I hope you enjoyed this test! 😄Let me know in the comments which Level you got!
