Since I started using vaporizers (which are extremely convenient), my THC consumption has skyrocketed! I have gone from about 20-30mg to about 100-200mg a day THC, and my tolerance has also gone through the roof, to the point where I can hardly get stoned… It doesn’t matter how much I vape, I can hardly feel it!
I am troubled by the comments here. Yeah, the commercial's a little over the top, but the message is spot on. People need to show more sense about getting behind the wheel when they're wasted.....:( I am proud to say that I worked on this PSA. I was a member of the crew
What about methamphetamine, we never see the truth about the dangers of methamphetamine, we never see commercials about the dangers of methamphetamine a drug that's destroying cities,.
People don't see cartoon spliffs & beer cans, when they smoke & drink! Maybe MADD should hire actually smokers or drinkers for their commercial & then you'll see how people really act!
RAMD - regular folks against mother's driving - The most distracted segment all! Smoking a bong would be distracting but rolled up reefers would probably help alot of people - mostly the speeders who don't slowdown for wildlife for some. Smoke and don't be a psycho now
This commercial is insulting to the very people you're trying to reach. Does MADD really believe that utilizing marijuana automatically equals behaving like some brainless burnout - I was expecting a long drawn out "duuuuude" at any moment. Even children can see that this commercial is ridiculous; and are therefore much less likely to take the message seriously. MADD, your work is VERY important. Instead of alienating your viewers, please give them some credit and adjust your marketing accordingly.
You have the erroneous conclusion that MADD is here to stop drinking and driving. They are not. They exist to prohibit drinking. When you realize that all of their ads make much more sense. They're a temperance organization. The founder quit because he believes moderate drinking is fine, just don't drive. That wasn't enough for the board members.
i find it disgusting how both doing weed and drinking has been so normalized in our society today that we have PSAs not about being against doing drugs, just about being against doing drugs and DRIVING
It’s not true. Cannabis, in the case of experienced users at very least, have very little if any impact on driving, except, it has a strong tendency to cause drivers to be extra cautious! That’s correct. Alcohol makes drivers reckless and aggressive, cannabis makes drivers careful and cautious. The effects are like night and day, in fact, in normal doses and with a little experience (not always necessary), cannabis’ main effects cause CAREFUL driving, and may in fact actually IMPROVE driving and driving safety. Anyone who doubts me should look for cannabis DUI cases, which are rare and almost always associated with alcohol. In cases where it is associated with alcohol, alcohol is virtually always the culprit, and if not, the association between cannabis and driving issues is, at best, sketchy. It has NEVER YET been proven that cannabis, used in moderation (i.e. in the amount the user would ordinarily use), by an ordinary user, causes any impairment whatsoever… but even if it did, and this is a slightly different topic, would that necessarily be a problem? What if cannabis DID cause slight impairment, but yet still those drivers’ records are better than 50th percentile, i.e. better than most other people on the road, IS THAT A PROBLEM? I don’t think so, but I don’t think that’s the case anyway. I don’t think that cannabis has a significant impact on traffic safety, and our experience confirms that. There are NOT a lot of accidents that are known to be caused by cannabis use!
To everyone saying that he’s on more than just booze and weed, Zebra Corner agrees. Their video brought me here.
Where can I find the zebra corner clip?
I think whats hes on is a little bit stronger than booze and marijuana, and i want it

People in the house: omg dave is talking to himself again!!
Dave’s not all there
I don't think they're playing around Dave. I'd get in the car Dave. GET IN THE DAMN CAR DAVE.
I wouldn’t get in if the driver had been drinking, but if he had been smoking pot? NO problema! I’ve never seen a stoned driver drive recklessly YET.
To quote Phyllis Diller: "Whatever he's having, I'll have it with ginger!"
This commercial is absolutely ridiculously hilariously totally inaccurate. "common buddy take one for the team" .. iv never heard my weed say that 🤪
Then you’re not smoking enough then.
@@nightslasher9384 ... 🤣🤪🤣🤪
this is nostalgia i remember seeing this while watching tv as a kid
Same 😂
I think he is doing more than just weed and booze.
He called a cab because the weed and booze are talking to him. Legit.
Take one for the team buddy!
Dave's not here man.
I've seen this commercial on Sportsnet as of 2023
Dave: Yeah I need a ride man! you’re stuff is way better then mine!

What's the spot on message again? That you should call cab when a talking beer can and marijuana joint are peer pressuring you?
Don’t do drugs kids, smoke weed and drink beer.
Do NOT drink alcohol and drive, you will regret it.
Sorry Dave, that close to your car with your keys in your hand, that's already a DUI.

Actually there has been. You just need to look for them.
People don't see cartoon spliffs & beer cans, when they smoke & drink! Maybe MADD should hire actually smokers or drinkers for their commercial & then you'll see how people really act!
Say, I would never do that! Normally I never get high or drunk! I usually don't do weed or get drunk!

thank you for this intelligent comment........this commercial is disingenuous at best.
FrostyLady what is madd trying to market?
