My axe was delivered on May 1st! The whole thing is awesome! The only thing I had to try it out on was some white birch, not very hard wood. First impression: with the short handle, it will be great for chopping anything above the knees, which I will run into most often doing trail work. It's like a hatchet made for a giant, very usable one handed, but you can still use two hands if you want because of the fawns foot style of handle. Bukin', I love it! Thanks so much!
Hey Buckin Isaacs Poppop here. Gone to miss the live feed. Superchat probably . It's nursing home day. 5 of clock in Philly. Il check in later. Have a blessed day. You are the man. Peace and love.
The spot to your left gives the better view. So we can see what is going on on the bench. Thanks for sharing. Hope you have a great day! All the best from Germany, Maximilian.
Oh my! The chipmunk orchestra was AMAZING. Me and the kids were cryin cuz we were laughing so hard. Thank you Buckin’, I know you know how much that means to me.iPhone video is good. I think closer is a tad bit better, but I think that’s because the microphone is clearer when you are closer. Love to you all.
Mr Buckin'......you are an uplifting presence to say the least. We are all better people for being here like family for one another, especially for those who come here to feel good and melt away stress and anxiety. Love to you all today ♥️👍🇨🇦
Just wanted to say thank you for always being kind happy and funny. Every time I watch another video it seriously cheers me right up. Thank you again buckin !!!
I really like that axe Ed. You're a lucky man! As always another great video Buckin' ! It's back to work in the morning, have a great week everyone!! 👍
Hey Buckin' love watching your channel brother! A couple years ago a friend from work, (building houses) gave me the head and broken handle of a 1947 Sager Double Bit Chemical Axe... I've since then cleaned it just a little, replaced the handle, put an edge on it, and now am the proud owner of one wicked felling axe!!! Here she is...
Never to much fun in the bunker. Glad you are in your own world, and are just having fun buckin!!! Let's continue this journey shall we friends!!!! Stay safe friends!

Hello buckin,Love the saw blade idea for under the wood stove. Welcome to the new subscribers, hello to the Army and True Blues, moderators, guys, gals, women, and children. I sincerely hope everybody is having a wonderful day today. Take that extra minute or two to be kind help somebody out.
Omg. The chipmunk bit caught me by suprise!!! 😂 I had the volume on my big speakers in the shop turned up all the way watching this, and broke into dance myself 🤣🤣
I'm the guy that talks to you through the screen every time you speed up while you are running the power saw, "real time Buckin'." But that segment you sped up in the middle while Hogan was playing the drums had me laughing so hard. I replayed it 3 times and turned up the volume. I loved it, but I did scare my cats! Stay safe my friend!
It works better if you have the I phone further back then to show us stuff you move in closer and leave the phone where it is, especially where you put it we could see the whole bunker and see everything you do. Great content buckin'. Keep spreading the joy
My dad made dozens of axe handles for people his favorite wood was always Ash. It is easy to work with strong and always straight. Most old timers in Northern New England usually used Red Oak. I have a beautiful Winchester axe on a handle he made of red oak. It looks beautiful finished with Cherry Watco.
Billy, Great content as usual. For your floor heat reflector, you might want to throw a few bricks underneath to create an offset to the floor so that the heat isn't transferred?? Anyway, love the idea!!
You know what they say about making do with what you have, well you did it for the little stove.i don't think your axes can be beat Buckin. Your air guitar and air drum playing was almost as good as when you play the real thing. You add fun to your job and time goes by quickly with never a dull moment on the job. Thanks for the Sunday afternoon entertainment. Have an awesome week on the job and at the Ace Shack.
Hey Buckin, the Bunker looks great! The saw blade is very cool, I have a suggestion about using it for your stove. Maybe you could section it so it fits tight in the corner then use the other pieces behind it on either side. Just an idea, if u layed it out properly I believe you could get the teeth to line up pretty close.. Take care
And the subs keep growing Friend!! Stopping in to say Hello Buckin! Sorry I haven’t been on but” been busy & back and forth to the V.A. Hospital... Had to stop in and catch the vibes if ya know what I mean.... 👍🏼👍🏼
I love my Sager cruiser more than any axe I own. I believe it's pre -1915 when they started putting the date on them. It was my dad's before he past. The grain on the old handle is exactly running 90 degrees perpendicular to the head. After over 50 years of hard regular use I'm calling it good. It may only be in my mind but it sure does seem like it's much more forgiving to my wrist and forearms. Maybe they're is something to the "leaf spring" theory. Keep on splitting with the flicken!
Yep, the grain is straight as an arrow from the eye to the knob. It's also on the thin side but never showed any signs of weakness. It's just a really sweet handle which happens to have the grain running perfectly "wrong." Like you've said before hickory is just a tough wood!
Hi Billy, love the new office my friend!!😁😁 The IPhone looks better too me back farther. That way we can see what's going on better. Take care my friend!!😁😁 Hi to everyone new and old in the buckin army family!! Love to all!!😁😁 Your friend Al.

Anyone ever hear of an axe head with "made in JSA" on it? It is like new so I doubt it is made in USA. It might be a misprint though.
The i-phone pictures are nicer.....

I got turned onto your channel by "Joesneon" while lookin for a axe sheath pattern. A friend at work gave me a "sager chemical axe 1929" but the eye looks to be oblong. Is there a way to get it back to oval? And would it be worth the trouble?
