the disappointment for clausewitz makes sense when you consider it was one of the second set of superships. WG set the bar for what they are so ridiculously high that ‘just’ a better hindenburg didn’t feel like a supership, because there wasn’t a dumb OP gimmick attached to it.
It just sucks that wargaming actively designed German ships to be fundamentally flawed & a step under each tier.. smaller guns, wild inaccuracy, weaker shells, low dmg HE, giant superstructures to farm, giant DDs to arm AP, sluggish handling, no spotter planes on cruisers, manual depth charges, etc. The issue is this is entirely ahistorical, Germans had the most cutting edge military technology at the time and were megalomaniacs- if Hitler wanted a surface fleet to fight Britain/USA they’d have the largest guns.. their railway gun Gustav is still the largest cannon ever built & fired you don’t think they’d slap them on a super-Bismarck in real life? They had the first rocketry fielded, first radar, first functional jet fighter, list goes on. It’s political wargaming russia wanted German line to feel weak so it couldn’t be competitive on EU servers, real Germans may get uppity about their nation again or something.
I was hoping that it would be a Leg mod incorporated Hinden... I nostalgically remember when I was sailing in my leg mod Hindi back in the day when you just don't burn or flood (back then the floods were deadly) and I was farming like a happy hippo while my BBs were running hot to find cover :D But your idea of AP only improvement sounds nice too.

Ayo PQ, have you ever tried a secondary build on a carrier that isnt the zeppelin? If you ever try it, go with the nakhimov as it is the one who benefits the most in close quarters. Also smolensk secondaries!
Off-topic question, but: I already own and adore my Georgia. Is the Ohio a sufficiently different play experience to justify the research points, when I already have the Georgia? They seem very similar play styles
Ohio is much slower and sluggish compared to Georgia. But in terms of firepower & secondaries, Ohio is an improvement for sure, on top of better armor.
I loved my Hindenbrug from the very first match onwards thanks to her overall consistency. She just has some tool for every situation. So i didn't really see any reason to invest into Clausewitz and instead spammed Annapolis for a couple of days. But then i repeatedly ran with her into the old Desmo suffering: Poor ballistics and overmatch + her size and sluggishness making her even more vulnerable. After getting nuked twice in a row (poor overly aggressive play on my side, i admit that) i got triggered, sold a bunch of ships and bought Clausewitz. So far she seems like an improvement over Hindenburg as far as guns go (though Hindenguns are still very good) but in return she is big, clumsy and her turret angles are just a pain! Hindenburg is way better as a brain - AFK, kiting HE - spammer after a long day in the office. And by getting the attention of enemy BBs with her DPM and then dodging their return fire she is creating all of her impact. Clausewitz so far seems to be weaker in this role than her smaller sister, which explains her low overall winrate (at least on EU server). That being said she is still way more relaxing to play than for example Annapolis. She can ignore most cruiser fire that may have slapped an Annapolis. Even with reloadmod (which she needs imo) she still has the range to farm during the early game. And she does have another thing over Hindenburg: Airbased ASW and even good range on them! During one of my few games the enemy sub decided to annoy and chase me while i was kiting away. Because he was the type of stupid most submarine players are he pinged often. So i could constanly drop ASWs in his way and eventually flood him to death. Hindenburg would have been helpless in this situation and been chased across the map. Overall i think Clausewitz is the safest, easiest to play cruiser among the superships. Getting past the 100k damage should be easy even for below average players. But while playing her, just like Hindenburg, might be easy, mastering her is another story. Players need to know when to stop kiting and start a push to create impact. Otherwise they are dependant on their team winning the match for them. If you like Hindenburg i would recommend buying Clausewitz, slap the permanent boost on her and go farm lots of captains XP. If you want to have impact and use superships to boost your winrate and PR you should get Annapolis first.
Hey i was wondering how do you play World of Warships like on PC like xbox or any other app. Have a good day everyone and if someone knows how to play this game on witch app it would be helpful if you reply.
the t8 and t9 are just monstrously bad, the first time I quit playing wows was when I tried to make hipper work... Bad HE dmg, bad AP, big ship with nothing to give, no special flavour nothing... One thing that nobody talks is the effort you put to do the same dmg as another ship... In a battleship you can do massive salvos but every 30 seconds or so, the effort is low other than positioning, aiming and shoting... But a hipper to do the same ammount of dmg you need to expend 4 times more nerves to do the same dmg, the same shit... to get 150k dmg in a hipper is to sweat your balls of, while you can do it reliable in another cruiser of another line... Roon is even worse because it's a kiting ship that can't tank shit... German line is really top heavy
@@kr4ftt Roon is a bloody good ship. agree about the hipper though. Heal makes a big difference. Like the Eugen is light years better to play than the Hipper despite lower DPM
@@STORMIETR00PER Yeah it's better than hipper but the bar is freaking low isn't? And if you say like it's 100% better, hipper is shit so it's... you know... still shit... Hindenburg is a blast tho, german cruiser line is really top heavy
@@STORMIETR00PER Hipper is fine, I've been regrinding German line for research points recently and was consistently getting 100k+ games in lighthouse Hipper with minimal effort. Lack of heal hurts but damage output is very good

Mainz has the same problem but has high DPM to compensate. Eugen has low DPM but the heal. Hipper ist just meh. The keywords for Hipper and to some extent Roon are "distance" and "fire". You cant realy push with them, with Roon more than with Hipper. So you spam HE at max range and use "incoming fire alert" to actively dodge every incoming salvo even if they already appear to miss you. Desync is a pain for Hipper so always maneuver. While Hipper can brawl she does not have the hull to get into brawling distance. In essence she is training the player to actively dodge incoming fire with heavy cruisers, a handy skill to have even with Hindenburg.
I disagree to some extent because of two reasons 1) you can do same long distance open water farming in Hindenburg too ( if you are taking range mod and you know where WASD keys are...! 2) since it is a supership I am not rewarded same in terms of economy and it's expensive than Hindenburg for basically doing same job. The other supership such as satsuma, conde etc... Bring that extra gimmick which adds to the fun and makes you feel the worth of running that expensive ship. If there is no gimmick then why should someone even take a supership..
It's all in the armour, man. Hindy used to be one of the most enjoyable cruisers in the game thanks to her armour. The Battlecruiser Hindenburg experience was why people played the German cruiser line. Then WG created a BB caliber arms race that effectively turned Hindenburg into a very fat, very slow Minotaur, survivability-wise. Clausewitz brings back the old Hindenburg experience. And for some people, that is enough.
@@RPGTKingpin Care to elaborate further? Armors thickness seems to be the same ob Hindenburg and Clausewitz while Hindenburg ist smaller and more nimble than Clausewitz.
@@Fackeldackel Deck armour. Clausewitz is a long range heavy cruiser, and *specifically* a long range heavy cruiser. The deck armour is 50mm, so it can bounce any AP in the game, even Satsuma, if it takes the hit on the deck. But to make that reliable you need to stay far enough away that you have time to angle and adjust your speed to keep them from hitting the nose, stern or sides. If you get closer and they are able to hit those places, your armour is useless and Clausewitz becomes a more sluggish Hindenburg with better HE DPM.
