Boots are put on after putting on the bottom part of the suit. That takes away the difficulty of putting the boots on. After that, put the upper part of the suit on. But you should have gotten it by now; it's been three years😁
Personally I think if my skill ain’t up to it, and comfortable textile two piece quality motorcycle clothing with low cut boots won’t do it, Ile stay off the track. We have all been there, thick leather, one piece or two, full armour boots gloves, etc. We go for a summer ride to the coast and fry. Just to look cool 😎 to us at least, I’m in my 60s now my bikes ain’t so big and certainly not sporting no more as in pure track bike with no storage. What I love now is panniers and top box. Not trendy but when you get there, bare in mind I have summer shorts on and a fresh teashirt plus flip flops in the luggage, I can take off my boots, jacket and trousers, in front of people, spray some deodorant under the arms. Pack my helmet, clothing and boots in the bike and walk around, paddle, chill and enjoy, then morph back into mr motorcyclist, even get a tan too. He was wearing it at Snetterton on Saturday and it now fits perfectly despite covid belly! :) They do stretch a bit. It is meant to be somewhat snug. My own one was a tad tight at first but it does get broken in. So long as one understands and correctly sends the manufacturer the measurements then all will be fine. Ade

They may be hard to put on, but when they’re broken in they feel great and give you more security while riding than is possible from anything else. If your going to wear them on the track, then you really should be wearing them for all your rides, as the hazards on public roads are just as great if not more.
Yep, I wear my leathers on the road more often than not and also include my Helite Airvest which has a hold for the the hump. 1 in 5 I will wear kevlar jeans and an armoured top WITH my normal helite vest. My own suit was made to measure and felt perfect but then I bought a chest protector and it is damn tight on the chest but I feel fully covered. Ade
I haven’t been able to ride for nearly 17 years. Way back in March of 2003 after I had just moved back to NE Florida from where I was stationed in San Diego, California, I took my motorcycle out (for the first time after my move) to go look for some new furniture. I was riding a 2001 Honda CBR 929RR (Erion Racing Edition) with only 5000 miles on it. It was still less than a year old. Every time I rode that bike I always wore a Dainese 1 Piece race suit, boots, gloves, and a high end Shoei helmet. I had more than 30 years of riding experience without any major accidents. By now you ought to see where this is going.... So I’m out on my first outing here in Florida. I decided to wear jeans, combat boots, and a textile motorcycle jacket with level 1 armor. The jacket was new and I had bought it to have for the hot summer months here. Normally I would’ve worn my full race suit, but I really didn’t want to go shopping for furniture while looking like a Power Ranger in a new city. BIG MISTAKE. On my way home, while stopped at a red traffic light, I got rear ended by an SUV that was doing more than 60 upon impact. While the bike amazingly held up fairly well (but was still totaled), I can’t say the same for myself. It was brutal. Three quarters of all my ribs were completely shattered. Additionally, my left shoulder had a torn rotator cuff while my right shoulder was broken. But much worse, the disk in the lumbar region of my back were destroyed. My T12 Vertebrae literally exploded, sending bone fragments deep into my spinal cord. While I wasn’t paralyzed, it certainly was close. Ultimately I ended up having to have the entire lower half of my back completely fused. I also lost all feeling in my upper left thigh. So much for being accident free. And I had to have a pain pump embedded into my abdomen. I was nearly bed ridden for 13 years. Now it’s 17 years down the road and I’m FINALLY able to start riding again. Boy have I ever missed it. For the past 5 years I’ve been diligently working with a personal trainer at my local gym. I’ve managed to get myself into even better condition than I was BEFORE my accident. So I’m preparing myself to start riding again. I’m going to add buy all my safety equipment FIRST. Then I’ll get a new bike. I’m going to buy an Arai Corsair X helmet, SIDI REX Boots, Dainese armored gloves, and a Dainese MuGello R D-Air one piece race suit with a Dainese D-core Drysuit for underneath. It’s a pricey suit, but the airbag is expanded to protect the ribs as well. After everything is broken in, I’ll pick up a new bike. I’m currently looking at three...the 2020 or 2021 GSXR 1000R in the red/black color scheme; the 2020 Ninja 1000R; or, lastly, the 2020/21 Triumph Rocket 3. Additionally, I’ll get a good set of frame sliders, possibly a kickstand added on, and an independent center stand. Finally, as I’m only 5’3”, I’m going to have the bike lowered with lowering links as I no longer want to be forced to balance the bike on just one foot. My goal is to have everything ready to go by next May (I turn 60 then). I can’t weight. I will have finally come full circle from that accident. Luckily, there’s a Dainese store in Orlando Florida, so I’ll be able to get my suit fully custom ordered for my. EXACT SIZE and colors. So my suit will match my new bike. Obviously if I get the Triumph Rocket, my suit’s colors will be tamed down a bit, but I’ll STILL be wearing a one piece race suit with airbags regardless. Some people see that bike as a cruiser. But it’s really not. It’s closer to a sport bike than any cruiser. And with it’s 2.5 liter engine, it pulls as strong as any crotch rocket ever could. I have no doubt that some people will comment on wearing a race suit around here, but to hell with them. There’s simply NOTHING safer than wearing a full armored one piece race suit except staying home watching TV while on your couch. The suit you bought really looks great.

That is some story and makes me feel that I have been luckier than many though have some metal and some non perfect, but fine, usability of two limbs. As you may have seen in my Airvest video, I am a HUGE believer that the wearing of Airbag technology should be mandatory for all motorcyclists - as they did with car seatbelts. Blimey ha ha I find that putting my leathers on to the waist only then putting my super tech boots on - (fold down the outer right down to the ankle and simply slip them on , don't take the inner out). Then put my arms through in the suit.....Once that's done my body heat will warm up the leathers and then zip them up. There is a body wiggle to get them and off tho ha ha.

In my crash I was wearing a good biker jacket and some Kevlar jeans not a single bit of road rash I broke my heart and loads of other bits the suits are for racing fuck putting all that on for a road ride lol

Heroc makes a BIG GUY suit which has 2 vertical zippers a foot apart in torso . Getting in and out is a breeze from day 1. All leathers should have 2 zippers.FYI HEROIC makes best suits/gloves on the market kangeroo leather soft and price same/less than alpinestarts
What size is the suit and what is your height, chest measurement? I have the V3, that suit runs tight. I wear size 50 to 52, mostly size 52 suit. The V3 size 52 euro is snug for my size 40 to 41 chest and I couldn't zip up the leg zipper for my calves are large. I am 5'7" so most 52 is a bit long for me. Size 50 would be for my height but I cannot get in size 50 on most suit except the IXON. I end up had the tailor enlarged the V3 one inch by thigh and three inches by calves area. Great if you measure your calves. Really appreciate your feed back. TIA.
Hey Duke, I am 5:11ft in winter and 6ft in summer 🤣 I seemed to stretch in summer due to heat. Seems like u n me have similar build except from the height. My chest is so tight I can't wear chest protector. Similar issue with calves too. The only suit i fit in is alpinestar. Have you thought about custom suit?
amateur - put the boots on when you have the suit legs on. Then once the boots are on, stand up and put the remainder of the suit on (arms). That gives you more flexibility. This should be called "New rider learning how to put track suit on the wrong way".

Perhaps missile ignition should suit u better. Ive changed from missile ignition to atem v3. I would say iginition are regular fit, and atems are slim fit. Go try out.
ha, well, I tink Bikke is milking it a little :) I struggle a bit to get into mine but that is mainly due to a phenonmenon called 'Covid Belly' :) However, an absolute must for trackdays, along with a chest protector or airvest. I use my leather suit on the road nearly always in the spring, summer and autumn/fall but about 25/75 in the winer when i often opt for my kevlar jeans and upper armour under a leather jacket. Ade

It fits tight-ish as it should do. It will give with use too. You supply all measurements so they are tailor fit so its not a problem really. You can buy off-the-shelf one piece suits of course and then you have to try them on. Ade
Yeah, this is the tricky bit. You want it be snug so it acts like a firm second skin and also as you ride in it, it will start to stretch out a bit. Basically, it is always best to get one built to measure. Ade
He’s got the right size. Your suit should fit snugly. When it’s brand new it should be hard to get in and out. It’ll get easier once you break it in better. But it should NEVER just slide right on. If it does, you really need a smaller suit. This is a commonly made mistake. Half the videos I see in here of people wearing their suits on their bikes, their suits are too large for them. You shouldn’t be able to move around inside your suit. Otherwise the suit’s material can shift and bunch up or roll beneath you when you need it to perform the best. That can actually cause an injury or cause the suit to tear and fail unexpectedly. A properly fitting suit will feel tight and even a bit cumbersome while off the bike, but will practically disappear on the bike itself. So if possible, it’s best to get yourself custom tailored suit , especially one that takes your exact riding position into account.

It is the correct size. But I am used to new leathers, usually they are unreasonable at the start. Few weeks of wearing they will mould to the body and will soften up. Getting bigger size to start with is no good.
Bikke Chettri it was just a thought as you seemed to struggle as if it was your first time! Even brand new ones should not be that difficult to get on... Maybe lubing your body with some KY will help. You always need a snug fit for a one piece, and yes, being a natural fibre, it will stretch and relax a bit. However the last thing you want is it to be too tight and movement restrictive. I enjoyed your clip BTW. 👍😎
Which Bike it was! I’ve kept one of my one piece Dainese suits from my racing days on the mid 90’s... Have recently tried it on and although still fits, just didn’t slip into it like I did back then.

All decent motorcycle leather companies will have a really comprehensive measuring process. I had to measure my ankles, calves, knees, thighs, arse, waist, hips, chests, inseam, outseam, arm length, the lot. It was of course tight the first time but gets a lot better fairly quickly and becomes a second skin. Ade

Bikke is about 5'10" and around 78kg but these suits are all made to measure. Whomever you actually choose for the suit you simply give them all your measurements - a lot of them - and they make the suit to your exact body shape. You can buy 1-piece suits of the shelf but you are risking the suit being tight in some areas which may harm your ability to feel comfy on the bike. Ade

Yeah, at least Bikke does a lot of trackdays. Saying that, I still wear my full leathers on the road about 30% of the time. The protection is still excellent and with my Airvest on top of it I feel a lot safer. My weak points is my boots at present. Ade
Let me just say this, from a PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE...laying in a hospital bed is a far bigger hassle. That’s especially true when you’ve just woken up in the Intensive Care Unit after undergoing a massive 13.5 hour operation to have the remains of your T12 Vertebrae bone fragments removed from your spinal cord, and you realize you can’t move and aren’t sure if it’s because of a medication or is permanent, but regardless, the pain you feel in unbelievably excruciating, all while while you’re hooked up to a multitude of different machines and find that you have tubes and wires running all over the place....like having one shoved down into your lungs to breath for you, and having 2 chest tubes coming out from your left side Lung, a catheter shoved up your penis, tubes shoved into your nose, then see that you don’t have just one, but THREE completely different IV’s feeding fluids of all sorts into you, and surrounding it all is a maze of wires coming off numerous different parts of your body and feeding machines that are making all sorts of clicks, beeps, and pulses, with vital information, THEN you’ll develop an entirely NEW understanding of exactly WHAT the definition of a “HASSLE” really is. So wear your gear ALL THE TIME, EVERY TIME. Dress for the accident you’re about to get into, not the ride beforehand. Then, when that accident doesn’t happen, it’ll be a very successful ride and a great day to still be alive. Obviously I’ve had a horrific accident. Fortunately I was still in the military when it happened, because otherwise the multimillion dollars it cost to save me from permanent paralysis would’ve been an unbelievable drain on my daily life. Thankfully I survived. I consider that day to be the day when I won the medical lottery. The doctor was completely shocked that I actually walked (barely , but it was still under my own power) INTO the hospital, because when he opened my back up, he found that my spinal cord was crushed. And yet, thanks to his exceptional skills and perseverance at putting me back together again, I’m walking fine today. I didn’t cause the accident. I’m only guilty of stopping for a red traffic light. That was it. Because the lady somewhat further back behind me was simply too busy chit chatting on her cellphone to bother paying attention to the motorcycle that had already stopped for the red traffic light up ahead. Henceforth, although she was doing over 60, she never bothered to touch her brakes until her grill had been caved into her engine block and she slide through the intersection on top of what remained of my cherished motorcycle. It was a life altering event to say the least!!!

I’m currently looking at three...the 2020 or 2021 GSXR 1000R in the red/black color scheme; the 2020 Ninja 1000R; or, lastly, the 2020/21 Triumph Rocket 3. Additionally, I’ll get a good set of frame sliders, possibly a kickstand added on, and an independent center stand. Finally, as I’m only 5’3”, I’m going to have the bike lowered with lowering links as I no longer want to be forced to balance the bike on just one foot. My goal is to have everything ready to go by next May (I turn 60 then). I can’t weight. I will have finally come full circle from that accident. Luckily, there’s a Dainese store in Orlando Florida, so I’ll be able to get my suit fully custom ordered for my. EXACT SIZE and colors. So my suit will match my new bike. Obviously if I get the Triumph Rocket, my suit’s colors will be tamed down a bit, but I’ll STILL be wearing a one piece race suit with airbags regardless. Some people see that bike as a cruiser. But it’s really not. It’s closer to a sport bike than any cruiser. And with it’s 2.5 liter engine, it pulls as strong as any crotch rocket ever could. I have no doubt that some people will comment on wearing a race suit around here, but to hell with them. There’s simply NOTHING safer than wearing a full armored one piece race suit except staying home watching TV while on your couch. The suit you bought really looks great.

That is some story and makes me feel that I have been luckier than many though have some metal and some non perfect, but fine, usability of two limbs.
As you may have seen in my Airvest video, I am a HUGE believer that the wearing of Airbag technology should be mandatory for all motorcyclists - as they did with car seatbelts. I am certainly an advocate and tell all that I meet that we owe it to ourselves and loved ones to wear the best protection at all times.

However, yes, I also have some hot weather gear when I am not in the need for speed - which is Resurgence Voyager jeans, which are supposed to be excellent, and some Knox Armored jacket with upgraded CE2 armor BUT my 1-piece is my go to for all other journeys and track action. I bought a chest and back protector as well so I have double protection on the back right fown to the coccyx.
I now have a good helmnt. My weakest protection is now my gloves and my boots which I will upgrading ASAP.

I am due to go out on the new Rocket 3 - looks epic. I did a mini tour on the Goldwing solo-seat version and that was amazing. There is definitely a place for super comfy, super smooth cruisers.
I'd recommend looking at the new Ninja 1000 SX as a best of both worlds bike.

Blimey ha ha I find that putting my leathers on to the waist only then putting my super tech boots on - (fold down the outer right down to the ankle and simply slip them on , don't take the inner out). Then put my arms through in the suit.....Once that's done my body heat will warm up the leathers and then zip them up. There is a body wiggle to get them and off tho ha ha.

Heroc makes a BIG GUY suit which has 2 vertical zippers a foot apart in torso . Getting in and out is a breeze from day 1. All leathers should have 2 zippers.FYI HEROIC makes best suits/gloves on the market kangeroo leather soft and price same/less than alpinestarts

What size is the suit and what is your height, chest measurement? I have the V3, that suit runs tight. I wear size 50 to 52, mostly size 52 suit. The V3 size 52 euro is snug for my size 40 to 41 chest and I couldn't zip up the leg zipper for my calves are large. I am 5'7" so most 52 is a bit long for me. Size 50 would be for my height but I cannot get in size 50 on most suit except the IXON. I end up had the tailor enlarged the V3 one inch by thigh and three inches by calves area. Great if you measure your calves. Really appreciate your feed back. TIA.
Hey Duke, I am 5:11ft in winter and 6ft in summer 🤣 I seemed to stretch in summer due to heat. Seems like u n me have similar build except from the height. My chest is so tight I can't wear chest protector. Similar issue with calves too. The only suit i fit in is alpinestar. Have you thought about custom suit?
amateur - put the boots on when you have the suit legs on. Then once the boots are on, stand up and put the remainder of the suit on (arms). That gives you more flexibility. This should be called "New rider learning how to put track suit on the wrong way".

Perhaps missile ignition should suit u better. Ive changed from missile ignition to atem v3. I would say iginition are regular fit, and atems are slim fit. Go try out.

However, an absolute must for trackdays, along with a chest protector or airvest.
I use my leather suit on the road nearly always in the spring, summer and autumn/fall but about 25/75 in the winer when i often opt for my kevlar jeans and upper armour under a leather jacket.

Yeah, this is the tricky bit. You want it be snug so it acts like a firm second skin and also as you ride in it, it will start to stretch out a bit. Basically, it is always best to get one built to measure.

He’s got the right size. Your suit should fit snugly. When it’s brand new it should be hard to get in and out. It’ll get easier once you break it in better. But it should NEVER just slide right on. If it does, you really need a smaller suit. This is a commonly made mistake. Half the videos I see in here of people wearing their suits on their bikes, their suits are too large for them. You shouldn’t be able to move around inside your suit. Otherwise the suit’s material can shift and bunch up or roll beneath you when you need it to perform the best. That can actually cause an injury or cause the suit to tear and fail unexpectedly. A properly fitting suit will feel tight and even a bit cumbersome while off the bike, but will practically disappear on the bike itself. So if possible, it’s best to get yourself custom tailored suit , especially one that takes your exact riding position into account.

It is the correct size. But I am used to new leathers, usually they are unreasonable at the start. Few weeks of wearing they will mould to the body and will soften up. Getting bigger size to start with is no good.
Bikke Chettri it was just a thought as you seemed to struggle as if it was your first time! Even brand new ones should not be that difficult to get on... Maybe lubing your body with some KY will help. You always need a snug fit for a one piece, and yes, being a natural fibre, it will stretch and relax a bit. However the last thing you want is it to be too tight and movement restrictive. I enjoyed your clip BTW. 👍😎

Which Bike it was! I’ve kept one of my one piece Dainese suits from my racing days on the mid 90’s... Have recently tried it on and although still fits, just didn’t slip into it like I did back then.

U should get them, it i deign to be little tighter and later it moulds to your body perfectly.
All decent motorcycle leather companies will have a really comprehensive measuring process. I had to measure my ankles, calves, knees, thighs, arse, waist, hips, chests, inseam, outseam, arm length, the lot.
It was of course tight the first time but gets a lot better fairly quickly and becomes a second skin.

Bikke is about 5'10" and around 78kg but these suits are all made to measure. Whomever you actually choose for the suit you simply give them all your measurements - a lot of them - and they make the suit to your exact body shape.
You can buy 1-piece suits of the shelf but you are risking the suit being tight in some areas which may harm your ability to feel comfy on the bike.

Saying that, I still wear my full leathers on the road about 30% of the time. The protection is still excellent and with my Airvest on top of it I feel a lot safer.

Let me just say this, from a PERSONAL PERSPECTIVE...laying in a hospital bed is a far bigger hassle. That’s especially true when you’ve just woken up in the Intensive Care Unit after undergoing a massive 13.5 hour operation to have the remains of your T12 Vertebrae bone fragments removed from your spinal cord, and you realize you can’t move and aren’t sure if it’s because of a medication or is permanent, but regardless, the pain you feel in unbelievably excruciating, all while while you’re hooked up to a multitude of different machines and find that you have tubes and wires running all over the place....like having one shoved down into your lungs to breath for you, and having 2 chest tubes coming out from your left side Lung, a catheter shoved up your penis, tubes shoved into your nose, then see that you don’t have just one, but THREE completely different IV’s feeding fluids of all sorts into you, and surrounding it all is a maze of wires coming off numerous different parts of your body and feeding machines that are making all sorts of clicks, beeps, and pulses, with vital information, THEN you’ll develop an entirely NEW understanding of exactly WHAT the definition of a “HASSLE” really is. So wear your gear ALL THE TIME, EVERY TIME. Dress for the accident you’re about to get into, not the ride beforehand. Then, when that accident doesn’t happen, it’ll be a very successful ride and a great day to still be alive.
Obviously I’ve had a horrific accident. Fortunately I was still in the military when it happened, because otherwise the multimillion dollars it cost to save me from permanent paralysis would’ve been an unbelievable drain on my daily life. Thankfully I survived. I consider that day to be the day when I won the medical lottery. The doctor was completely shocked that I actually walked (barely , but it was still under my own power) INTO the hospital, because when he opened my back up, he found that my spinal cord was crushed. And yet, thanks to his exceptional skills and perseverance at putting me back together again, I’m walking fine today. I didn’t cause the accident. I’m only guilty of stopping for a red traffic light. That was it. Because the lady somewhat further back behind me was simply too busy chit chatting on her cellphone to bother paying attention to the motorcycle that had already stopped for the red traffic light up ahead. Henceforth, although she was doing over 60, she never bothered to touch her brakes until her grill had been caved into her engine block and she slide through the intersection on top of what remained of my cherished motorcycle. It was a life altering event to say the least!!!
