A must see are Italian manufactured ultra narrow triple trees on E B that are offered in 35, 39 and 41mm that are sculptured and so clean at 235. Good to know even for another build.
Cold rolled steel is rolled/formed at room temperature. This makes it sturdier. More dense since its molecules haven’t been expanded to shape the metal.
Hey Weems. You need to check out Doghouse customs. He is a blacksmith by trade in the uk. He does all kinds of custom Enfield and metric builds. What that man can do with simple hand tools is amazing. Plus his shed is simply that, a shed. Lol Could put 2 or more into yours. I think you will be impressed with his channel.
Very cool. I don't know if you've mentioned what the frame is from. It looks like a pre-unit rigid frame from the early 50's. I'm gonna guess it's a 1952 or 53...maybe from a Thunderbird.
Jared ,you said this bike is called "the punisher" .....another way of saying "the executioner " ...just like judge dredd from 2000ad (an old comic I read in the 70s) . Peace out ✌️
Aren't these videos that you put out as much for educational videos as they are for entertainment? I mean, if things are trade secret, why even show it on your video? Doesn't make a lot of sense to me. However I mean you do you.
Videos are made for two purposes, either to inform or entertain. I like to do both. I don’t want my knowledge to die with me so I choose to share it so the next guy can do even better than me with the knowledge.
it was easier to get this of google than to type it out in my own words (i don't type so well), so here goes'- "The main difference between hot rolled and cold rolled steel is the temperature at which they are processed:: Hot rolled Processed at high temperatures, typically between 1000-1300°C. Hot rolled steel is often used for construction and welding. It has a rougher surface, wider tolerances, and is generally less expensive than cold rolled steel. Cold rolled Processed at or near room temperature after being hot rolled. Cold rolled steel has a smoother surface finish, higher strength, and tighter tolerances than hot rolled steel. It's often used when tight tolerances, smooth surface finishes, or consistency are important. Here are some other differences between hot rolled and cold rolled steel: Internal stress: Cold rolled steel has more internal stress than hot rolled steel, which must be relieved before further processing. Surface quality: Cold rolled steel has a smoother surface, while hot rolled steel has a rougher surface. Malleability: Hot rolled steel is more malleable than cold rolled steel. Deformation: Hot rolled steel deforms more than cold rolled steel. The best type of steel for a project depends on the project's needs. For example, cold rolled steels' superior surface finish can reduce the time spent grinding and polishing, which can be advantageous for knife making." AI generated quote from google.

I'm going to check them out!
@Yamaroller here, cold rolled doesn't move when you weld it, and the grain structure welds smoother.
Nice! That answers that!
Stoked to see this build finished!
Us too!
Love it weems bring on the punisher as for crap I cannot see any there !! Love the forks
It’s coming together!
you have taken "fabricating" to a whole new level...
We are just having fun!
I'm with Jeremiah, you cutting a rare 60s model Ducati triple tree would cause me so much anxiety I wouldn't to nervous to do it. Looking good.
Sometimes it’s fun to do the hard stuff!
Weems killing it
Thanks friend!

Precisely! Thank you!
And it is stronger!
Great video. Im excited to see how it turns out.
Thanks, the best is yet to come!
@weemsmotorco I have no doubts.

Going to check it out now!
Nice work. If in the end the trees don't work out Machine Design IL will build them to print average 450-750
That is a nice resource!

You got it! That’s the one!
Another banger!!!
Thanks friend!
So the forks are solid, isn’t that harder on the welds?
Yes.
What about making a indianstyle girderfork I bet plenty of people like one/ I made one 29years ago with teflonbushes for a goldwing
Now that sounds cool!
Show us the crappy stuff!!
Come get it!!!

You know it!!!!
So....was I correct in my assumption??🤔
