That little beast ran right alongside another buddy’s Hodaka 100 Super Rat, to 50 mph, with the high speed setup at 50 walked away from the Rat, but only from 50 on! "Listen, buddy, riding an RD 350 or a Yezdi Roadking isn’t just owning a bike-it’s signing up for a cult of legends where the exhaust note is your war cry and every ride is a battle against boring commuters! The RD 350 will have you grinning like a lunatic as you leave everything in your smoky 2-stroke dust cloud, and the yezdi Roadking? That’s for when you want to look like a king who just conquered the highway. Forget ABS and rider modes-real bikers ride these beasts because the only traction control we need is courage and a good grip on the handlebars!"
Love the 2 strokes, I have a 73 RD350 it’s older than me and it’s the most amazing motorcycle to ride. I get a lot of weird looks and 👍 from the old timers 😂 2 strokes for life
My first new bike was a Harley Aermachi Rapido 125cc. Drove it to Mexico from Pomona California at least six times a year. Put over 14k miles on it in 2 years. Cost me all of $349 at Harley of Pomona, corner of Lewis and Holt.
The stripes on the tanks were different every year. I had two 76s. One SX125 and one SS250. Loved those bikes. The 125 we had to pull start it. usually with my 72 Honda CB450. The 250 after I rebuilt the carb was a one kick start. The biggest problems those bikes had was the carbs. Once they were dialed in....those were great bikes. Alot of people didnt like them. I would take another right now.
I had 2 Harley bobcats back inthe 60s a blue one and a red one they both had one piece fiberglass body's a 175cc 2 stroke motor with built in 3 speed circular transmissions! I bought both of the for 275 dollars in 1965 they were made in 1964! I gave them to a friend of mine in the 70s when I got sent to Germany when I was in the army . The only thing bad about them you could not ride in water or in the rain they would short out the ignition and you had to push them home and after about 12 hours of drying out they would crank back up! The ignition plate on the side of the crank case was not water proof and the point's would get wet and no spark! Have to wait until they dried out! They were used a lot by me and my friends for about 14 years!😊
I recall a neighbor had one back in 76.....two things I remember was the terrible time he had starting it, and that none of us who rode actual Harleys let him ride along with us...
Reminds me of a Can-Am Bombardier I used in London during the 90s. Similar bike, Can-Am built, Austrian Rotax single 250 2 stroke. Good military bike - literally bulletproof tank
I was 16 in 1976 and I saw a 1976 new AMF 175 Harley 2 stroke in Madoc, Ont. and I wanted that bike. My uncle bought me a 1976 Suzuki 185 adventurer street bike instead. The Suzuki had twin cylinders, twin carbs, electric start and front disc brake. I think my uncle paid $100 dollars more for the Suzuki. It turned out to be a great beginners bike and far superior to the Harley 175 in every way.
What’s the point of doing a bike build off if you’re not going to show us getting done ?!?? I am feel like I’m gonna vote for Paul just cause he shows his work
The second hose on the petcock is how they connect the let and right sides of the tank. Like they do on the bigger bikes, they just did it at the rear of the tank instead of the front.
Nice! My parents had a set when i was a kid. Blue for mom and orange for dad. I still remember when they were delivered to the house in those crates. Good stuff
Betor Spanish suspension components, Bultacos Montesas Ossas had Betor . The SS (street) and SX (on/off) 175/250/350 bikes looked very much the same and shared many parts.
When I was a kid the harley 125cc, the 165cc were everywhere, and there was a 175cc with a magneto..in high school they came out with the M50 and the 250cc 4 stroke single but I had a 1956 K model and everyone wanted an XLCH. Then the Honda 750 popped up. Now it wasn't super cool to ride a sportster. But by then my daily was a 1948 panhead. Still riding Harleys to this day. A Roadglide Special and a 1984 FXRT with a California Sidecar.
Here in the UK a trip to the HD factory/museum is a bucket list thing but after watching the cold way the suits act, why bother? Watching this reveal seems to show where all modern bikes have gone wrong. These simple machines are such a great way into motorcycling. Regards.
I'm in Northern Ireland, I always wanted to visit warrs just because it's the first hd dealer in UK. I recommend a visit to trev deeley in Vancouver he was the 3rd dealer and first outside USA but they also have a museum attached we spent most of a day there
❤❤I never ever ever relied on these 2 stroke mechanical pumps after one failed on my KAWASAKI KR1 back in 1990 and totalled my engine ,,,mixing your own directly into the tank is the go !
I worked as a Harley mechanic back in the 80's and I repaired the electrical systems one after another of those bikes, 125, 175 and 250. I rode a Baja 100 one time. You had to be as tall as me, 6'4" with a 36" inseam to touch the ground. My XR650L is just my size today.
my neighbour had one in the late 80s in Argentina, I would see it every couple months or year with a new owner, all trying to get it to start up. Even my dad had it for a while. it had some issue with the ignition system and could not get parts there.
I had one of those only in a 250cc. As a matter of fact it was the first bike I ever rode with gears ( just mini bikes before that) still riding Harley’s today and have been looking for a good one of those for over 20 years. Nice find. I am jealous
Hi Sean, the 250 was released in the UK under the cagiva brand, got a fairly good review in Bike magazine 250 shoot out against Japanese and East European models! Unfortunately Italian build quality was shocking at the time so never a big seller, rust and iffy electrical issues doomed any sales promise. Love the video though. James
I just picked up a 1965 m-50, which was only made two years. It was a barn find for sure. I have compression but no spark. Waiting on the new points to install. I might just upload a video of me screwing around with it haha
26:13 you need to take the spark plug out and put some oil and gas mix right in the cylinder and then kick it over a few times after tipping it left and right, its most likely some surface rust in there, use a light spray of quick start/gas to in intake to get it going to lube the throttle slider as well
I've been aftwr another aermacchi for awhile. I owned a x90 20 years ago and sold it off. What i do still have is the shop manual for all of the 2 strokes up to 125cc
The gas tank decal on 1976 HD's were the coolest IMO, they had other nice ones different years in the 70's but they brought the 1976 design back it was popular.
Craig had an AMF Harley that is similar to that but I can't remember if it was a 175cc. Same color and same style. It was not in a crate I know that. Your bike is pretty quick for that displacement. Please don't fall again.
i have a 1974 sx175 that i bought years ago off my dads buddy for 400$ , its been sitting in my garage for like 15 years, wish i had the money/time/parts to get it on the road, all it needs is front brake cable, clutch cable, tach and speedo, new tires, seat cover, piston, and some electrical work. other than that its mint. lol.

after watching the entire video mine as more of a dual sport bike the exhaust was high up and it had both fenders but they was higher .
Imagine how clean the air in those bubbles is...Thats a premium💯💯...Start the bids at 25k for that!!
As a bike fan, I never understood the appeal of Harley's except they are an American company. I will say I do enjoy the Harley's from the 30's to the 50's but that's about it. I'm more a Honda and Kawasaki guy myself. (Massive shout out to the CBR1100XX!)
Wow! Ya know what’s crazy?! It really has that Italian moto street bike sound to it! Amazing! That is the perfect bike to whip around town and that’s exactly why they are so perfect in small Italian towns with narrow streets and stone paths etc. Beautiful piece to add to any bike collection! The welds may not be great but a couple things Italians are really good at are bikes and cars, idc what anyone says lol
Build off, man! We want the build off!!!
fun video, wish harley hq would have helped joe out with the manual; but, shout out to the security officer doing all he could… haha. also, glad to see y'all taking safety more seriously…
I used to have three RD350's. A complete bike and a project bike and a parts bike.
2 stroke for life.
Love the 2 strokes, I have a 73 RD350 it’s older than me and it’s the most amazing motorcycle to ride. I get a lot of weird looks and 👍 from the old timers 😂 2 strokes for life
Show your build please!
I was hoping for a update video on the biker build off bike that you're doing but I guess it's going to be a surprise senior has a handle though
Shame on Harley for not honoring their agreement to provide an owners manual and not standing behind the warrantee to the bike😢
My first new bike was a Harley Aermachi Rapido 125cc.
Drove it to Mexico from Pomona California at least six times a year. Put over 14k miles on it in 2 years. Cost me all of $349 at Harley of Pomona, corner of Lewis and Holt.
Can we see build off bike now
The stripes on the tanks were different every year.
Please please do call John Maleki - would love to see a combo with the two of you!
Cool!!
no
1975 they didn't have ethanol in the gas. You need to take all the o-rings and rubber out of the carb and fuel line and replace them. Richen the jets.
I love that Joe had the same clothes on for the unboxing and the trip to Harley in Wisconsin!
Good Morning Bearded Bikers!
Sup with Bike Build off???
Shhh, we don't talk about that haha
They said it was on hold due to Paul Sr having other commitments.
When I was a kid my dad bought me a 71 harley rapido had a blast on that bike your bike brings back lotsa good memories thanks guys.
Almost as old as your biker build off challenge
Reminds me of a Can-Am Bombardier I used in London during the 90s. Similar bike, Can-Am built, Austrian Rotax single 250 2 stroke. Good military bike - literally bulletproof tank
Survived 50yrs in a crate now in less then 50 minutes bikes & beards will kill it !
I gotta say, the pink to red, is my second favorite AMF stripe, right behind the brown to orange.
what happened with the bike build off?? done with this channel!
Neat old bike, good of you to save it from its plastic snd wood sarcophagus. Glad you finally cleaned the front fender that was driving me nuts.
Heck ya brother. Merica
Good stuff
Paul Sr. doesn't need M1 moto spray...he just keeps around a spray bottle of Paul Jr's tears 😂
Betor Spanish suspension components, Bultacos Montesas Ossas had Betor .
The SS (street) and SX (on/off) 175/250/350 bikes looked very much the same and shared many parts.
Moraine? Spanish for peeling chrome and pitted aluminum
Had both in 250...
I recommend a visit to trev deeley in Vancouver he was the 3rd dealer and first outside USA but they also have a museum attached we spent most of a day there
It is not a cool as you think.
Why does this feel like déjà vu?😂
I love these kind of videos 💪🏼🔥
The sweet, sweet sound (and smell) of a little two-stroke. Brings back so many memories.
Hey man love the new vids and all but where is the biker build off at?
my neighbour had one in the late 80s in Argentina, I would see it every couple months or year with a new owner, all trying to get it to start up.
James
I really love your channel and I’m grateful that you always add in religious content. It’s been helping me to regain my faith. God bless brother 🙏
Much different ways of doing things than the Wheels through time video with Matt I just finished watching... 🤣
I just picked up a 1965 m-50, which was only made two years. It was a barn find for sure. I have compression but no spark. Waiting on the new points to install. I might just upload a video of me screwing around with it haha
Love it! My first bike was ‘76 SXT125 - I got it in about ‘84 when I was 16
Super cool find and startup.
26:13 you need to take the spark plug out and put some oil and gas mix right in the cylinder and then kick it over a few times after tipping it left and right, its most likely some surface rust in there, use a light spray of quick start/gas to in intake to get it going to lube the throttle slider as well
I had a 73 Yamaha 125 Enduro. Those are the days. Pollution was not a concern. That blue smoke is how you found your friends while you were riding😅
I've been aftwr another aermacchi for awhile. I owned a x90 20 years ago and sold it off. What i do still have is the shop manual for all of the 2 strokes up to 125cc
A buddy of mine got one of those because his pops, Bob Phipps was a mechanic at Dudley Perkins Harley in SF.
Bob was a good guy.
From a chainsaw to the smallest pry bar he has. Shaun is growing up in front of our eyes!
i have a 1974 sx175 that i bought years ago off my dads buddy for 400$ , its been sitting in my garage for like 15 years, wish i had the money/time/parts to get it on the road, all it needs is front brake cable, clutch cable, tach and speedo, new tires, seat cover, piston, and some electrical work. other than that its mint. lol.
Wow, that crate says Smithfield Ave, Pawtucket Rhode Island on it! Right down the street from me.
I was in love with Harley Baja 100 in the 70's damn thing had 13in ground clearance, knobbys ready for the woods
Kinda disappointing that Paul Snr is the only one posting biker build off videos.
Really enjoyed this one! 2 strokes are just rad and put smiles on faces. Great Ideer!
Love this best UA-cam Bike channel ❤❤❤ i love how theres always a great Bible quote in every video ❤❤❤ great to see your faith more people should be like this , so much hate and demonic crap on the Internet 😢 we need more of this energy 🙏 Amen 🙏 the Lord Jesus is love ❤❤❤BIKES AND BEARDS RULE MUCH LUVE FROM THE UK 🇬🇧
Badass, love it. Rode one just like it back when I was a teenager. Wished it would have been mine but it was a good friends.
Oooooooo the fast detailer is super!!!!
@18:04 Wow, a rim lock on the front tire of a street bike.😁
A lot of kicking to start it did he open the choke. On the top of that lovely little delorto carb
Very nice video , we have this machine assembly in Brazil 🇧🇷 back to 80 , I loved the 2 stroke .🇨🇦🇧🇷👊👊
