I'm still absolutely certain that a big part of the reason Kyle hates ARMS is that he picked the hardest character and got trounced by Damniani. Absolutely love that game
I thought the game was okay but haven't picked it up again since it was new. What confused me more than anything was Kyle saying he hates the theme music. I'm pretty sure the version used in that reveal trailer is a bit different than the final version though, doesn't pop quite as much. The one on the actual Arms title screen is a damn good theme.

That theme is good..i didn't buy the game but everytime i hear that theme i kinda wanna play arms. Kyle hating on the games character designs baffle me..i think they are great character designs! I hope they find a way to bring it back and add more new gameplay styles..like how splatoon has salmon run.

i don't know if this got explained to you later in the stream but hiragana and katakana are phonetic scripts and kanji are chinese ideograms. technically, hiragana contains all syllables in the japanese language and can be used to write everything but conventionally this is not done, kanji is used for most of the primary word classes like nouns and verbs, in the example noun (phrase) 発売日 "release date". hiragana is used for particles, conjunctions etc and katakana is used for foreign loan words directly rendered in japanese phonology. in the example オンライサービスについて "about the online service", "online service" has not been translated into japanese but rather simply rendered as "onrain saabisu", while "ni tsuite", "about the" is written in hiragana because it's more of a grammatical construct. this is not simply because the idea of "online service" cannot be written in kanji because im sure actual chinese has a way to do that but in japanese such loanwords are very common. in a sentence like カイルの配信が好きです "I like Kyle's streams", "Kyle" is written in katakana because it's a name without sino-japanese origins, "streams" is in kanji because it's the word for "broadcast" which has an existing japanese word with associated kanji, while particles like の ("no" indicating possession or attribution), が ("ga" this is too complex to explain here), and です ("desu", tense marker here meaning present or future tense) are written in hiragana because they are grammatical constructs. also it's interesting that you think kanji is more edgy than kana because ive always thought katakana in specific looked "edgier"
2:47:00 "just like every other game" well they had to specify that you press X to view the map, because in the first one one of the main features was viewing the map in real time in the Wii U gamepad screen.
I don't love Botw, but that trailer gives me goosebumps and gets me emotional, they're only comparable to something like the goosebumps you get playing Shadow of the Colossus for the first time.
This was such a fun stream looking back at the 2017 Nintendo Switch presentation. Really looking forward to a potential 2025 Nintendo Switch 2 presentation on the horizon. AGDQ has been really fun from what I've watched thus far and looking forward to the Nancy Drew playthrough vod.
I went to a Nintendo-hosted preview event in London following this presentation, and I really did have a ridiculously bad time playing ARMS. After the first round they asked if I wanted to go again, and I just had to politely say "N-No thank you ..." and move on to another video game.
I hate the one bartending game that has you making drinks with ice cubes and shaking, Va11 Hall-A, does not use the Joycon functionality at all. They blew it.
I will echo chat and recommend you remove your hard drives from the old PC, Kyle. Security/privacy reasons aside, there is inevitably going to be some situation years from now where you're trying to find an old file and then you realize you never backed it up from your old PC. If you donate your PC with the drives in it... welp, that shit's gone forever. Taking them out isn't hard and you can just store them in your closet.
