Tech tip for others: if you need to use, but dont have the stethoscope, you can use a long shaft screwdriver the same way. Metal tip on the part you want to listen to, and the plastic handle pressed against your ear

Thanks bud this helped me. Also dodge are notoriously known for water pump failures. along with transmission failures. I would check to see what thermostat she has installed. because I know those transmissions don't like to be hot. that's how I blew my 46re.

i can never find a video or anything on what that pulley has for mounting it. is it a bolt big flat washer and one little thing inside? anyone know?

I believe I know what you’re talking about, is it part of the drive belt? Looks like it should be a pulley? But has a silver flat part on it? My truck has the same and my stepdad says it’s just a guide for the belt but idk if it’s true or not
