Hi there, i didnt see the follow up video for this bike. Would you care to share the time and money it took you to get the bike back on the road? Im trying to go the same rout and just wondering if its worth it or not. Ive been seen these bike sell for crazy high at copart.
Sadly I had to sell this one. It wasn’t what I wanted. This was a couple years ago and I was struggling financially at the time and needed the money and couldn’t continue the project. The guy that bought it from me just got some plastics, a new tank, and finished up the few little things and he said it was a great bike for him. Sadly I don’t make money on UA-cam and had to do what made sense at the time. But for sure, if you can get one relatively cheap, it’s not a bad idea. But like you said, bikes are going for dumb prices right now. I think it’s a seasonal thing.
The clutch just needed the cable ran and it was fine. I sold the bike to a guy who finished it up with an exhaust and plastics and it’s still running to this day. I didn’t want to sell it but I had to, to pay my bills. I don’t make any money on UA-cam so life came first. 😞
Good job one the 2012 bike.... I have the same one, where did you get the shop manual if you don't mind me asking.... So that you can torch it right, trying to get a hold of a real manual....Can you help out....thanks.... keep up the good work......
I don’t use manuals most of the time honestly. I reference them online sometimes if I have issues but I rely on experience and if I have issues there are big groups online that can help with any questions. I can help you if you need too, I’ve done it obviously.
@FITNESSOVER45 sure did. 👍 it’s just sped up you can’t see me fighting with it for like 5-10 minutes to get it lined up. And that’s not a hammer, it’s a soft rubber mallet. Thank you for the advice though, it’s definitely a tricky bike to work on.
@FITNESSOVER45 I’m sorry but I sold the bike a few months ago. I had to stop rebuilding bikes because of money issues. The guy I sold it to is riding it no problem though he said it’s great I am sad I sold it, it was a dream bike of mine.
@FITNESSOVER45 he said he didn’t touch the bike at all just had to finish the cosmetics and run the clutch cable because it was broken. It was a clean title. I don’t do salvage titles.
@FITNESSOVER45that’s not a smooth part it’s the shaft that slides back and forth that dowel with the gears in it. I’m not an expert but I believe it’s the starter gear. It moves back and forth to start the bike.
You are right, I wish I had a nice one. I bought a cheap one but I ended up breaking on me. And my lighting sucks in my garage too so I often have to film while holding a flashlight. I do apologize, I will try much harder on my next videos. I appreciate the feedback greatly.
@FITNESSOVER45 I sold it for 5500. It crushed me to sell it. I’m going to be back to rebuilding soon but right now I need to focus on money. UA-cam provided me no income so I had to say goodbye for a while n
@@unavailabillhey I am currently the new owner of this bike can you contact me so I can ask you a few questions about this particular bike as I’m putting it back together and ran into 2 issues

@@unavailabill I agree. Thank you for your response. I'll keep looking.
Love to see it running man!
Thank you I was so excited honestly when it started I had to stop filming for a minute.
Where did you get your stator cover bolts from im wondering if I can just go to a hardware store and match them up for use
@@cj37walker I bought an oem set off eBay. I’d def suggest going oem but if you can match length and thread pitch at a local store go for it.
Hey 🤘🏻 did you figured out about the clutch?

Sounds so good 👍
Thank you. It does have a small exhaust leak so I gotta figure that out but the motor sounds really healthy no ticks or anything.

@FITNESSOVER45it rests against part of the case cover if I remember correctly. Sorry again I’m no expert just a normal joe.
OMG please get a try pod .

Nice!
👍 and let me know if you want to sell it
Sadly I am probably going to have to get rid of it, my life has gotten too busy for UA-cam or the rebuilds right now.
