Should be alright as long as they pay thier taxes
I've never bet on sports, except dog and horse racing. I wasn't very good at it. Mostly I just bet on myself. I was a pool hustler most of my life and could beat 90% of the people I met in bars. I almost always left the bar with more money than I came in with after a night of partying. I did it full time for several years until it became more like a job, so I went back to just doing it part time. I started and ran the biggest Texas Hold-Em league on the Texas coast. I got very good at it and won many trips to Vegas, plus I got invited to lots of cash games. While on the coast I became familiar with the game rooms and actually did quite well, once I figured out how the algorithms controlled the outcome. The problem was once you start winning a lot they don't want you to come back. They thought I was cheating somehow, but it was more like card counting, which I guess isn't allowed in Vegas either. When you get an edge that allows you to beat the odds, they're no longer interested in your money! Imagine that!
Really, Mr. O? FYI, California does not allow sports betting (horse racing and Indian casino gambling notwithstanding) and it most definitely has a state lottery. Who paid for 'the study'? And does legalized gambling kill more people than drugs and alcohol?

It's amazing how the media never talks about sports addiction gambling now that's its legal and how its ruining these young dumb kids lives. It puts them in enormous debt that they can never recover from. When sports betting was run by the mafia it was a terrible thing that was destroying our youth as said in the media. Great story bill and as a follow up talk about how many of these games are really fixed
I'd like to see a ban on all advertising for gambling.. they are clearly aimed at black males...
He obviously doesn't know much about this subject because you can definitely win betting on sports. I win every year on football.
