  • Joe Scarborough EXPLODED on Trump supporters. Cenk Uygur, the host of The Young Turks, tells you why Joe is fed up with his own party’s voters. Tell us what you think in the comment section below. tytnetwork.com/join/
“MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough launched into an impassioned defense of Sen. John McCain, who faces attacks from President Donald Trump over the Arizona senator’s rejection of the latest GOP health care bill.
Trump went after McCain - who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer - over the weekend in tweets, a radio appearance and his Friday night rally in Alabama.
“You have no humanity,” Scarborough said of Trump during a Morning Joe segment about the health care bill. “You have a man who is dying and you’re using him for political punch lines on talk radio and also in audiences in Alabama?”
“And by the way, for people watching at home, if you’re in the audience and John McCain is getting attacked, and he’s fighting for his life - unless you were raised in a barn, keep your mouths shut,” Scarborough continued. “Show a little respect. Show a little dignity. Show a little class.”

Jesus, Joe. Why is it surprising that the party that has spent decades trying to turn everyone against everyone else doesn't have a sense of civility or even basic humanity? I know it's his party but listen, wakey wakey. I'm a liberal Democrat but I will happily acknowledge the flaws of my party. Time to get with the program. Look around.

Keeping in mind that you and I probably keep very close to current events and Trump supporters probably don't. I agree if they know as much as me at least. If they don't know Jack like most people I know then that's why we should help them out.
Its really gotten to a point where there are no maybes or second thoughts. Our president is unfortunately a privileged person with no regard to the normal person because he lacks what that means. His wealth unfortunately has kept him ignorant and why some regular Joe's agree baffles me because he isn't one.
Frankly left or right or anything really. We can all see through Trump and the sad fact is I can level with people who disagree. But this is like dropping a bomb to put out a fire man.

Additionally, Trump trolls continually go online disparaging his war record with 'swiftboat' lies. Trumpf family has NOBODY that has military service since 1880's. McCain's have a COMBINED 104 years of military service over FOUR generations. Trump is a sociopath and frankly so are those people at his rally. This is Germany 1933.

I'm a Democrat and have never voted for John McCain but I still respect him for his lifelong service to our country. The fact that so many Republicans can't show any compassion for one of their own, even when he is dying of cancer, tells me what miserable human beings they have become. Donald Trump has brought a cancer of his own to this country, infecting so many minds with an incurable hatred for anyone who does not agree with their own twisted ideology.

    • @nobad6134
      @nobad6134 6 років тому +1

It's not about compassion. McCain is a politician making decisions for 300 million Americans via his votes. No one forced him to continue in the Senate. If he wants out of the political rough and tumble he could have retired. Fact is McCain betrayed the GOP voters who put him in on a ticket of repealing Obamacare which McCain had promoted over and over again in 2010, 2016.

From the viewpoint of an independent voter in rural Mississippi, I've watched my parents, brother, and several other family members go down this Trump rabbit hole. I can say with certainty that it's no one factor- such as racism, being fed up with establishment politics, nationalism and traditionalism, strict loyalty to the Republican party, or flat out ignorance and naivety- but a motley mix of most or all of those factors, that really seem to be driving these people. Trump is very talented at calling to the worst in already angry Americans. They flock to him with their bloodthirsty desire for someone to answer for all the governmental failures that they're so pissed off about, and his rabid yelling and hate speech just fuels that fire by giving them one after another of a seemingly endless list of scapegoats. But again, from the perspective of someone who's stuck in the Deep South surrounded by these disillusioned, sometimes downright delusional people, take heart normal Americans. At least around here, it seems like people are really beginning to turn on the Angry Toddler in the White House. They're realizing they've been duped, their emotions played upon for greedy political gains, and they're not happy about it in the least. So while the media constantly spotlights the worst of the worst of Trump and his supporters, many more of them are putting their pride aside to admit that they made a mistake by putting that jackass in office. There's still hope.

I think Joe Scarborough's indignation over Trump and his followers is too late. What was he doing while Trump was running for President? He certainly wasn't castigating Trump over his inappropriate behavior leading up to the November election. In fact he was more than happy to have Trump on his show to interview him again and again.

Going through the video, why the hell is the President of the United States doing a radio interview on a talk show called Rick & Bubba? Reaching out to local communities? BS when he's just there spewing lies. Wonder if Trump would ever hold a local town hall and answer actual citizen questions and not just hold rallies where his base cheers if he farts.

You learn not much of anything praying for yourself anyway. Better to think of others and wish to benefit them. That's the way to heaven and happiness in this life. Love all beings. It is the root of self happiness. The root of suffering is self grasping and putting yourself above others in your mind. That will always produce misery. Peace

McCain knew he would likely die too. They tortured him for five years. Broken leg, broken shoulder, bayoneted in the other shoulder. Every two hours they bound him up so he couldn't move and beat him. Starved him and denied him medical care. Solitary confinement. But he still refused to leave his men. When he came out his hair had turned entirely white. Even I, an English women know the story of what John Mcain did. I know the story of what Trump did too. Mcain is a bloody hero.

McCain is one of the few republicans I still respect somewhat, he has stood up to Trump, and continued to do so. He has also demonstrated a willingness, on occasion to vote against the insanity of the current GOP.
I will be very sad when he dies, he might be the last true republican, in a party full of fascists.

Giuliano Taverna past things done and voting no on issues that are not earth shattering. Does not negate all ofbtge criminal policies McCain has voted for, backed and profited on. He is no hero. He was a villain. But so are all of the republicans and more than 50% of the democrats. Independents that voted with the others as well. The libertarians are outright monstrous criminals with their Republican cohorts. Whether they are local, state, or federal. They have worked with the corporations and the ultra wealthy. To take democrocy from the people. I have no nice thoughts or words for these criminals. One must have humanity to be HUMAN. And 90% of these parasites were never human.

    • @IulianusTabernarius

And people call me an extremist... I don't think attacking one of the least insane republicans left in existence, and also a person who is about to die anyway, is the hill we should die on. Really its an idiotic plan, which makes sense, given that its what Trump is doing.
As for him being a horrible person,. I have no reason to suspect he thinks he is. If he were actually acting against his own judgment and for lets say "non democratic interests," then why would he compromise on anything? He should be chearleading torture, and reflexively defending Trump like the rest of them. To be clear, I think most republicans are aware of what they are doing, and don't care because it makes them money and keeps them in power. And I think that's been true for the majority of them since the Nixon era.

Honestly it's kind of irellevant that he is dying. It's sad, sure, but having sympathy for his condition doesn't mean you can disagree with him. The reason he is getting booed is because the man for all his flaws has character and principles that he stands by - rather than blind loyalty to peers. He got booed for not following the leader against those principles, and that IMOmakes him a better man than most people in politics.
