Hi! No, it depends on you, as long as you would not exceed in your sleeve length. The cap height usually taken from the starting point down to the desired cap height. Thank you!
hi, Today i have seen ur 3 blouse patterns.... each one is different from one to another..... Please clarify the following doubts.... 1) in basic bodies u have mentioned shoulder slope is 1.5". in ladies blouse u have mentioned 1". why the difference ? 2) In basic bodies A-C u have mentioned chest height 5" and C-I chest /2 and marked .... for arm curve. In ladies blouse different 1/2" in word u have taken..... What is the C-I chest/2? where to take the measurements? which one i should follow? from basic bodies it self i can do blouse and shirt ..... and others rt.... please clarify.... i have seen so many other persons patterns .... but ur teaching style is unique.... so what interesting...
Hi! For your question #1, shoulder for the basic bodice is 1 1/2, that is only a guide because basoc bodice is a foundation pattern. But in blouse it's only 1" because the kind of pattern that I'm doing is a style or manipulated pattern, meaning you could adjust the basic pattern based on your desired style 2. Just what I've said in #1, it's because it's basic and blouse is manipulated, there are changes and added some easing allowance..... Chest measurement is taken from 1 armpit to the other armpit If you are doing pattern that has no easing, you could follow the procedure in drafting basic pattern, but if you want to make pattern with easing allowance, follow the steps in drafting blouse Thank you! I hope it helps! If you have other question, don't hesitate to ask me. God Bless!!!
IM just wondering why your other vedio is not the same as this like for example last vedio is the Armhole of the back part is 1/2 UP ward in the shoulder and another 1/2 backward in the chest line. Thanks.
Hi! That is for the basic bodice, because that pattern is use as the basis of making other patterns. If you do the manipulated pattern you can do the style you want.
Hi! Basic pattern is drafted using the exact body measurements, no easing is added, manipulated is a style pattern and final pattern is a kind of pattern with seam allowances and pattern symbols to guide the dressmaker on what to do with the pattern. I hope I gave a clear answer to your questions. God Bless!!!
The other vedio for the frontarmhole drop is 1 1/2, and the back is 1, now this vedio the front and back are just the same. The back armhole is less 1/2, now the same. Which is which ba talaga mam. Thanks.
Ma'am can you make a video how to draft a simple blouse for big women? Shoulder - 15 1/2, Front figure- 21 Back figure - 16 Bust - 46,Bust Point 11 1/2 Bust distance -10 Waist - 45 Side seam - 9 Maraming Salamat po. Sana mapansin nyo po comment ko.
Hi Mam in ur other video u take different measurements for shoulder slope for front and back. Which one is correct? Same shoulder slope for front and back or different shoulder slope for front and back?
Hi! On my videos, it's different because we have 3 types of patterns: 1. Basic pattern 2. Manipulated pattern 3. Final Pattern That's why the procedure is different, it depends on the kind of patterns that you will make. I hope I cleared your doubts. Thanks!
Hello Mam! I don't need to increase the lengrh of the front blouse beacuse of the dart, since the blouse that showed has a style on the hemline . For the sleeve, you can do it the same since the depth of the is different, and it follows. Thanks!
Hi! Figure measurement is taken from the shoulder neck point, passing over the bust up to the waistline. You could also check this link on how to take body measurements: ua-cam.com/video/nC1ihnKks58/v-deo.html
hi mam nag dart ka sa side so di na mag add ng allownce sa baba baka mashort ang allownce or hidden dart yan tanong ko lang kc kung sa waist line tau mag dart mag add ng 1inch yan sa side walang i add
Hi! Grain line po iyan pra sundan sa paglalagay sa fabric nung pattern pra icut. Laging lengthwise ang paglalagay or pahaba, iton yung arrow pataas, then yung width, iyon yung crosswise grain. Salamat po!
Hi! Kung wlang metal tip yung tape measure mo, yung 1st line iyon yung 1/8", next line 1/4", next 3/8", next line sa center ng 1" ay 1/2", next 5/8", next 3/4", next 7/8" then 1". Sana po nasundan nyo. God Bless!!!
@@carmencarmen5448 Hi! Yung line dapat ng ng 1" sa tape measure ay 8 lines lang. Kung walang metal tip, yung first line 1/8", next line 1/4", next 3/8", next 1/2", next 5/8", next 3/4', next 7/8" and last line 1". Pag hindi ganyan yung bilang ng lines ng tape measure mo better to buy a correct one. Thanks!
Hi! It is on my own way, because based on my experiences, the hardest part is attaching the set-in sleeve, there are always puckering on the cap portion that's why I do some series of trials and I found that the only way to get the exact measurement of the armhole is to less 1/2". Thanks and God Bless!!!

Another is the bottom part. The length of the Front and back the same?
Yes the length of the front and back are the same. The only difference is the back crotch, it is longer than the front because of buttocks.
