Just got a refurbished MacBook M1 pro, employee discount come in clutch, traded in my M2 MacBook air for 650 and only. had to pay 285 dollars and was able to put apple care on it, this thing is a BEAST, can handle my work flow far better then the m2 believe it or not, it was a base model with only 8 gb of ram so the jump to 16gb and 1tb of storage is amazing!
You forgot the "Calculate all sizes" in the view options. As a content creator, it's really great to see the size of folders at all times without having to press the space bar on each folder ;)

Your tip about changing the screen resolution was incredible. I hate that apple hides that setting so deep. Also you are incredibly charismatic, and I would definitely recommend your videos to someone who isn't quite as into tech as I am. You just explain things so well.

I just got my very first MacBook Pro and I got to say this has been super super nice. It was a bit hard for me to follow as you went through all the settings quickly but the little path finders throughout the sections that show where to go helped me figure out how to do it on my MacBook and I paused very frequently lol thanks for the help in setting it up :D now if only I could hide the notch lol I do like the little bar at the top with all the important info being nice and small though :D I am so used to my windows computer having absolutely nothing on the screen so I can just see my wallpaper but it's not too bad on Mac :D
@@stopsmilelike 🤔 I am not sure if it comes with a keyboard and mouse as I just bought mine from Apple's website but if you're getting the MacBook Laptop it will have a keyboard built in but no mouse. I just got that little bluetooth mouse that people recommend called Pebble for like 25 bucks it works really well with the apple devices.
But, I think the MacBook M1 chip is a really solid price and still a great machine especially if you don't need a really heavy workload. I mostly use mine for spreadsheet data and team project management and software development so it works out really well just make sure you get the storage you'd like. I went for the M2 Pro Chip with 16gb of memory and 500gb storage and that's much more than I need :)

Great advice. I jailbroke my iPhone and now use size 2 fonts and have 450 icons per screen. It made my screen so big!

One of the first things I do is many of what you do. Thanks for the tips! One thing I do, is to add the system utilities folder to the sidebar. I'm finding my self in that folder often. (HD/APPLICATIONS/UTILITIES)

When you get a new computer, do you migrate your apps, or do you install from scratch?
I typically use the migrate assistant…as a matter of fact I have a video I recorded demonstrating this that I never released…I should release at some point

Funny: I do exactly all those except 3-finger because I use that to switch desktops.
I wanted that drag thing option but it stops me from being able to fan out using three fingers.
I think you can use 4 fingers to fan out if im not mistaken, its in the settings

ya girl is blind, well not really but I have potato vision even with contacts. I had to switch off from more space and do the 3rd or 2nd from the largest. Does this impact my resolution negatively? If it does I'll go back to more space.

As a windows user, cant believe how long it takes to set up a wallpaper on mac. Oof
You can just drag the image into the settings menu for wallpapers (right click on the desktop to get there just like windows).
He just made the folder to stay organized. That also allows you to set up auto changing wallpapers.

Hey man, I’m just starting my “content creator” hobby I created a UA-cam channel and I want to buy a MacBook and my old desktop PC(that I currently edit) is a entry level Intel 10th gen. I was thinking on getting the m2 MacBook Pro 16in base model (19core gpu) I’m from Brazil and even getting the 32gb ram 14in m2 pro 512GB SSD it’s more expensive than the base 16in by a hefty amount, I only use for normal tasks and video editing (8-10 minutes) 4K H.264 with some b-roll all shot in my Sony Zv-e10 sigma 16mm also some lower thirds and light motion graphics Titles through the video, is the base 16in enough ?
