CS2 Player Wishlist: 1. We need Subtick WITH 128 Tick. 2. Better anti cheat for Matchmaking and Premier. 3. Cl_bob, Clear_Decals reintroduced. 4. Older game modes and community modes like surf reintroduced/ revamped. 5. Fix dying behind walls, rubberbanding, and the insane peekers advantage. 6. Improve Bunny hopping and movement. 7. We should always able to reconnect if network drops. 8. Fix the "XYZ" did not accept the match problem where the accept icon does not even show up. 9. We need Train, Cache, and Cobblestone back. 10. If all or most of these are met, a new operation would be awesome.
Cache will be added when FMPone is done with it no later than early 2025. I hate when people keep saying we need the map back now when valve has no control over its development.
With a CRT that i tried with CS2 is even more ridiculous, i now play 1.6 because of that. I felt the lag on CS2 instantly compared to 1.6 CSGO doesn't/didn't have lag, netcode was flawless, only needed official 128 tickrate servers.

Obviously you're going to get more lag on CS2 than 1.6, if you are experiencing lag. I had to upgrade my PC going from CS:GO to CS2. I'm not saying that's a good thing but in order to play it, i had to upgrade. I do agree that Valve definitely needs to optimize the game in general. They still have a lot to fix. I remember when CS:GO came out, it was a shit show for years (over 3 years after release) from what i remember. CS2 was a complete shit show when it released as well, and it still has a lot to improve. I run a 4060ti & Ryzen 5600x and play 1440p, get over 250+fps and don't feel any issues with lag or rubber banding anymore, thank God. The game feels smoother than ever. I'm extremely happy on how well the game feels now.
@@tinokosova3356 I never mentioned graphics. CS2 gameplay just feels bad. CS1.6 is still the best CS game ever for multiplayer because the tickrate is tied to fps. Is not artificially locked to 64 ticks with the subtick prediction nonsense. I could set my CRT to 150Hz if i wanted and still the game feels worse than 1.6, or CSGO, or CZ, or Source... It doesn't make sense increasing Hz for a smoother motion if the game can't register that higher fluidity anyways.

Dota 2 had so many bugs after they switched to Source 2, and it only got better after the devs fixed the game, which took months. This isn't a source 2 issue. Its that, at a bare minimum, there is a massive disconnect between the CS devs and what the community actually wants implemented into the game. Which is a generous interpretation, given that CS2 has been out for some time now and minimal progress toward fixing the game has been made.

funny how this video comes out legit the day I uninstalled cs2 and I don't think I'll comeback until they fix everything wrong with the game... I miss csgo and the fact that anyone could run it.
I think the hitreg is the only thing in CS2 that actually feels better than GO. It’s nearly flawless in my experience. But other things are noticeably worse.
It's game to game for me. It is literal random weather or not my bullets are working or even if I can move properly. Some servers I'm literally getting moved and pushed around, some servers every bullet I shoot hits and I just can't die.
playing regular comp with good connection feels pretty good for me but on faceit 40+ ping everything feels god awful. i feel like i have to have like 100ms+ faster reactions to everything, like i'm sliding everywhere and the hit reg is genuinely unplayable at times
I miss 1.6 when words like tick and hitreg were not there and if you sucked at the game you knew u sucked at the game and were not blaming it on bad hitreg and shit

the most frustrating thing about cs2 for me is how the character models fucking wobble, lean and deform when they strafe. In csgo the hitboxes was weird but at least they moved linearly. Now its so difficult to predict movement because your legs torso and head are all moving weird directions. in csgo people who practiced movement were actually hard to predict with bhops and air strafing. It was actually impressive and a respectabled skill. now it seems like every guy with A + D keys can just spam it while spraying and his body is all over the place.
this is what I've chalked up the bad "feeling" of the game up to as well, Dinks make their head jump, their player model moves way more that it did in GO. The default CT agent's head is also like one pixel tall from behind and it's not obvious what will be a headshot and what will be a chest shot. At first I thought it was first bullet inaccuracy but i'm pretty sure it's just the micro movements of the playermodel making close shots miss.
That was fixed ages ago idk what you mean, you are just saying you could counterstrafe in csgo and they fixed the player model bug. Also try aim for heads not bodies bud
Well if you spam A+D in CSGO (you can still download it) the legs also act weird after last CSGO update for movement animations. I do agree with you that in CS2 people are literally jumping side to side, but that is close to real life...
@@noahrosen6205 Literally what you read. You cover behind the wall so that he can't see you so he can't shoot you. But the game lets him do that and you get kill unfortunately. There are many clips about this issue and it's also seen in this video if you've watched it. And he tries explain why but no explanation should be needed but a problem should be solved but valve won't do that.
@@noahrosen6205 Let's take dust2 A site, you have 150 ping and you are on site, someone is jiggling you from short with 20ms. How subtick works is that respects what high ping players see on their screen. The A player shoots (AWP) while the guy seems to be out on his screen, however at the exact same millisecond the guy took the shot, in real time, the guy jiggling was completely behind the wall. So with subtick, the guy jiggling can die while on his screen, while he is totally behind the wall, just because the high ping player could see him. It's unfair.

SMG's can just run and gun, let alone jumping kill you. Jumping glitches and clipping still. Peekers Advantage issues (still not as horrible as once was, atleast that 1 update was good). Bullet registry and delay inputs. Something, somewhere, Valve knows how to fix these issues. It's just when and where.
They don’t know how to fix these issues within subtick. If they just changed back to a normal tick rate it would solve a lot of the problem but they are determined to make subtick work.
It's just the fact that you can't pull spray in CS2 as efficiently that makes it a nuisance. When some one can just full sideways run and gun you with 0 counter, it depletes the skill in game.

Its so depressing man. Everything feels off. I went back to a legacy version of CSGO and played on community servers, and the difference was insane. It is crazy how quickly the muscle memory sets in and the game just feels right again. it is so snappy, and then coming back to cs2 and it feels like im playing through a remote desktop. If i was a casual person i wouldn't care, but i've set in a crazy amount of hours because i legit loved the game, it was always something i'd come back to. Now i dread opening the game. Maybe its time to return to valorant, and just deal with the ability bloat
cs2 with csgo engine would be awesome. All problems with cs2 arise from subtick system that they obviously invested a lot in and they can't just go back so we will just have to wait for them to find ways to mitigate these issues
Subtick can effect on input latency and gameplay. Compare that video on CSGO and CS2, the hit registers very different. The reason why it rubberband when you hit makes you annoyed, the client and server per tick when you got shot or you shot them. Like TF2 Natasha minigun, On hit: the target slows down

The target getting slowed his down is called " aimpunch or tagging" Is not the same thing, AImpunch doesnt cause you to teleport but slow you down, Its a mechanics, IN cs2 its a bug, It teleports you when you are engaged in a duel and cause you to miss your target, If subtick its causing this then its a bad system, You cant let server decide your duels in a competitive FPS
When you're getting high ranks and literally feel like you're loosing duels because of game inconsitency it gets frustrating. More frustrating than when you're a silver. Cause u get to understand whats happening in some scenario and it can happen that u die in the worst moment and lose the game cause of it. One bigg loss into an eco/force can easily result into another 1 2 round loss. And yeah. I think Rank matters in this regard..
As a CS:GO die hard fan with 3500hrs + (before CS2, currently 4209hrs) I am genuinely happy I stopped playing CS (atm) just because of all the bugs, movement issues, lags and delays that come with the game. If I was the only player playing CS I would revert to the latest version of CS:GO and continue working on it until CS2 is FULLY ready for release similar to a Rockstar mindset where I don't want to release a half ass game. Sure Source 2/CS2 is dope and smokes are cool/ skins pop more but its just not worth the mechanical downfall that CS2 did to CS:GO. I really do wish CS2 was a separate game like CS 1.6 and CS source (I did not play either of those games unfortunately)
With over 8000 hours on CS:GO, I was quite excited to hear about the "new" CS - until I played the beta. Such a mess. I don't think they can fix CS2 unless they go back to CS:GO and start CS2 from scratch.

I hate it when I jump on CS2, but randomly the jump is much lower than expected because I was "touching" the wall or a prop that I wanted to jump on. So I look like a silver trying to jump on a crate several times until it finally works as it used to back in csgo...

Im 36 years old, and I have been playing my soul out with Counter-Strike my whole life, and I've been having a break now for 3 months, and this is the longest break Ive ever had (If I ever had any before). My feeling is just that Valve dosent give a shit, they dont listen to the community what they want and what they dont want. Right now, the experience is Toxicity, Cheaters, and the never ending Mirage. I hate that map so much after all this years, and getting queued on that map everytime you want to play premier makes me not wanna play it anymore. Its so sad that you really can see how the only thing Valve cares about, is how they can generate more money instead of taking care of the community. They dont give a shit if they have cheaters infecting the game, because they still getting their money, due to buying prime and such. Im just so dissapointed. They have honestly killed the game for me.
I was really hoping that on release they would at least have a working anticheat, without that it just feels like there was no point in releasing CS2 when they did. It feels like valve is just trying to get back to where they were in CSGO with the only real upgrade being that it looks nicer

but thats the thing most problems will never be solved/could instantly be solved by removing sub tick and allowing faceit to run 128tick servers. hard to say for certain since we have never been able to try out cs2 128 tick no subtick, but if u think about how tickrate works and how the subtick system works and look at all the strange issues people have it must either be the game being completely bugged or subtick/64tick making the expierence bugged.
This might have been a point in 2012, but since CSGO doesn’t exist anymore and I therefore have no current alternative, these excuses are indeed foolish!
@@timvanoers4023 128 was active on faceit for some period of time until valve stepped in and I think they hard coded the 64 tick so that faceit couldnt offer 128 tick while valve was saving money on 64 tick. If I remember correctly ppl were praising how 128 tick servers were working with subtick.
the wierdest thing of cs.. it feels random. youre at the target.. -0 in 0 youre hitting the left leg.... headshot some times you hit every shot you take. the match after.. no bullets connect sprays are random as hell... i think the base is great.. but it still needs a lot of work

I uninstalled yesterday. My last game not a single one of my teammates bought utility 1 time the entire match. Most of my teammates are filled with players with 1200+ hours who can barely get to 6 kills, trolls and griefers, or people who literally just started playing 3 weeks ago and have no clue what to do, yet they are playing premier.
@@leefswgoh7558 I have almost 400 hours so yes, I am not a great player by any means but I know how to actually play smart and not rush mid every round and every map like half of my teammates. I am top frag or 2nd on the team most of my games. Hard to gain elo when it's 5v2 after 30 seconds of almost every round.

@@fuhhkuuu3207 The thing about CS is that you can carry yourself out of that elo consistently. You might not win every game, but you can win 70% of them. Focus on taking 1v1 duels by positioning your angles, never hard swing into 2 or more crosshairs. Also look up how to throw utility on each map, you can save your dumb team by smoking mid from spawn.
I downloaded the last CSGO version last night and played a game of cache with bots, and it INSTANTLY felt SO much more crisp I don’t know how you fuck up a game so much and release it as if it is intended

Not really. The way subtick works is that the server will check what actions the client did on what specific time and then decide what happens next based on that. Your client cannot predict the future, so what happens is that you seem to be still alive on your client before you get the update from the server. In reality the guy really killed you first, it just took a while for your client to get the message. The "what you see is what you get" is poor advertisement. In terms of where you click, sure, but you are still dealing with the delay caused by the server tick rate and network latency. Now it could be my imagination, but for some reason these delays sometimes feel longer than what one would expect based on ping. Also the rubberbanding when getting tagged seems to happen much more when playing deathmatch.
i think online exp sucks, bcs of sub-tick. Still dont udetstand why we dont have atleast option to play with tick and sub system, and find out what the best. I still believe classic 128 will be enough. On CSGO there was a FPS problem, but with CS2 this is not same. U need better pc to play it, so. Also for movement and surfing there was also special tick to play on. Looks like they are hiding someting. Or just it feels like.
I find that the larger the ping differential in a lobby the worse sub tick acts. Peaker advantage, getting shot behind cover, and all the other desync BS gets worse the larger the differential between the players interacting. I have a clip where I clearly missed both my shots on a falling target but the server registered it as a headshot somehow. We were both playing at like 70-80 ping on that server and it might be the worst desync I've seen yet.
I wrote 2 full IT bug-reports, including recorded Hardware live stats and network data. I think they are not able to fix it. Hopefully they get it one day
@@H4VOK_YT ping has nothing to do with playablness, you are facing packet loss issues, I don't. Packet loss means that not all the information is arriving to your pc so you see people teleporting. Ping means just how long it takes for you to send and receive updated packets.
After this last update, I've noticed I'm tagging a lot more after I shoot first. It's always I get off 3 shots that tag and they get off 5 that kill. My crosshair placement & spray feels exactly the same. I've never said "what the fuck" after dying so often lol. 4.8k hours, 20k rating, level 8 faceit.
The biggest issue for me in cs2 is the ranking system/matchmaking. I have some friends that are pretty bad and are stuck below 5k elo. Since I’m above 10k, Valve says I am not allowed to queue with them. Fair, that makes sense from a balancing standpoint. But what isn’t fair is when people are 15k+ queuing with players below 10k, mostly around the 7 to 8k mark from my experience. It’s straight up boosting and makes me being unable to play with my friends very unfair.

Yep it's terrible. A 9k booster paired with 17k means I'll have a legit solo 9 or 10k on my team. Basically 4v5, guaranteed loss. Unless the boosters play like 10k's. Not to mention the elo rewards are broken. I played a game -550 / +100, thankfully won that match. Then my next match was -550 / +15. Lol I'm not even kidding. I have screenshots. The +15 is because it was for my promotion match. But I'm getting -550 each time I queue and I'm not even on a losing streak. I'm just going to end up deranking and then "smurfing" on lower ranks. Super broken ranking system in premier.
Worst version of counter strike I ever had chance to play. Shots not register, Random kills, Teleport after hit, Laggy asfff, Dead after wall. No binds, Cheaters even on 2K elo+.. Is this some sort of social experiment or what?

That because bad interp of cs2. Csgo used to use 0.03 interp but u can change it to 0.015. cs2 feel like double csgo and dont allow you change anything
I feel like this video is way too tame for what it actually is. CS2 limited beta was released in september of 2023. Howcome it's been a whole year and the game is still feeling this bad, is still randomly crashing for people and it took one dev post to make people behave like it's unreasonable to expect a functional game? The CS community either lost all self respect or are extremely lenient when if this was about virtually any other game, y'all would've dropped it after 2 months max of giving it chance over chance over chance.
The problem is that there's no good alternatives. They deleted CSGO, and the alternatives to that are filled with MTXs that are *even more* predatory than lootboxes.
Yeaaah the rubber banding is pretty horrendous. Especially at higher ping. I used to be able to play on NA servers while I was in EU on CSGO and it wasn’t anywhere near as bad

Valve needs to get rid of this subtick thing. It sounded cool and creative at the beginning but it just doesn't work. I feel like the only thing subtick does, is creating irregularities. And we REALLY can't use such a thing in CS. Everything has to be constant and predictable so we can reach perfection. In terms of the game itself and in terms of our own gameplay.
AS much shit that Riot gets for their terrible metas and terrible balancing of the game they at least try to listen to people a lot with monthly dev vlogs, weekly update tweets and more It´s gotten good to a point that they are actuavly updating stuff minimal stuff on champions they dont know about just cause they learn about them from those champion mains and this is the correct approach Leaving your game behind and updating it with 0 communication with the community is a terrible approach
And packet loss in this game is crazy, inconsistent. I have avg 0.5 upload packet loss, when taking gunfights it suddenly jumps to 1.0+ then after I'm dead, it return to 0.5 avg again.... Wth

another annoying thing is the fact that after every update the game gets worse in terms of performance. last night was an update of 600mb to fix 2 maps (like wtf? 600mbs to fix 2 spots on 2 different maps, spots that no-one really cares about most likely) and with the updates during last month or so FPS are decreasing dramatically, used to have 500+ fps with drops to 300, now with same settings I get areas where I have 150fps (like wth, I need a NASA computer to play an FPS game in 2024? for comparison, in Valorant I have 4-500+ fps constantly, without drops) not to talk about the servers which are crazy batshiet, I press tab I have 30 ping, I move from spawn and I get dragged back just to see that I got a frame drop and lags, not to talk about the fact that while moving on the map if you hit one teammate you bounce like a basket ball hitting the ground and throws off your movement and all that. we need more performance improvement :(
it's because OW has been on a downward trend and had bad community reception for a couple years. OW at launch through seasons 3-4 might have been the best PvP game of all time (in my opinion), but that was like 1 year of OW's lifecycle. people had already been shitting on OW when OW2 came out whereas CSGO was probably the most refined it ever was when CS2 came out.
CS2's gameplay is fundamentally broken because of many reasons, but OW2 did damn near everything else wrong. Predatory monetization of cosmetics through a shit battle pass system, turning the tank role into a rock-paper-scissors battle, incompetent hero balancing that makes Riot devs look smart, Blizzard straight up lied to the playerbase about the scope of the future PvE content (which was the entire justification for OW2), and the ranked pool is infested with ximming. I won't pretend that Valve is perfect, but the issues that are ruining CS2 can actually be addressed, whereas Blizzard has managed to shoot themselves in the foot so bad that most of the issues that I've mentioned are just baked into the game and are unfixable without a major revisioning of Overwatch 2.
1.) the leg animation looks wierd, it’s like a puppet master is controlling them with wires. 2.) hit reg is wack just something about it that is just really frustrating. Amount of times I have shot someone and it delays and shows a hs like a second later. 3.) the amount of muzzle flash makes spraying feel off. 4.) rubber banding makes the game feel terrible. On my screen I have moved then I get pinged back somewhere else. Subtick on paper sounds good right? Trying to please everyone ends up pleasing no one. 128 tick server, low ping in csgo was perfectly fine. They got the basics wrong with cs2 the game just feels off. I used to play for hours and hours. Now I play cs2 for 30 mins and I’m like nope this sucks. 5.) peakers advantage Is absolutely dogshit. I get double dinked with an m4 before I can even begin to click. Holding angles is dogshit 6.) the smokes are way too big. In csgo if u through a random smoke or didn’t line it up there would be gaps or atleast a way to get through it. Now if u lob a smoke anywhere near a doorway, or an entrance. The whole thing is covered. No chance of getting through. So once you get in a site, plant the bomb. Cover off the entrances to the site with smokes. That’s it rounds pretty much done. Yee you can blow up and smoke with a he made. Woo. Either make smokes last less time, or make the explosion clear it for longer.
When you try and jump onto something and then you stub your toe and get forced back to the ground. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to jump onto something and died because I can't jump onto a box.
shots that don't hit, bullets that don't hit you and kill you anyway, I don't know if I'll be the only one, but the Recoil feels horrible, disgusting, useless... I literally live next to servers in Spain and they still kill me after hiding. The thing about me giving you first feels too much... It feels very bad when shooting, it's like I always have LAG or something, the delay is huge, it's disgusting to play, it feels like you're playing on a shitty computer despite having a good computer, it looks like you're playing with shitty internet despite having good internet. Fix the core of this bloody game first. Its cucktick at the root of this issue. Cucktick cockblocks where you’re trying to hit, cockblocks when you’re trying to bhop, cockblocks your smooth movement. Spray feels trash with ak, only m4 feels ok which idk how its possible, it should be bad everywhere if its really that bad. If you try to bhop you get stuck to the ground after 2nd or 3rd jump with a glue or some shit. Player models are wobbly when moving and not linear like go. Some shit is always glitching and rubberbanding while moving. Doesnt feel crisp at all. All inputs from my keyboard or mouse feels jittery. Mechanics just feel off and nothing like go. You dont kill clean and you dont die clean. Feels random and lucky or unlucky but def not what’s supposed to happen according to go mechanics. Fps has gone to drain. On i712700h 3060 laptop putting out 450 fps in go to 120-160 fps on cs2 avg. what a bloody joke. Pls dont bring out bloody operation in this state of the game with cs2 cucktick. Cucktick is a task to play with not joy at all.
Ikr normal 64tick was better than subtick also for the m4 i think it feels better maybe because you're using silenced which has a tighter spread so less variance for subtick to account for.

Theres much greater variance/randomness and with sudden pullback effects when killing or getting killed with guns where spread isnt as tight as m4a1s. The sound sucks too. This off feeling is such a big part of not enjoying this games mechanics. It all feels forced.

I played deadlock for a bit im not really big on MOBAs i tried it and it genuinely sucks i might try and learn it a bit since i played for an hour but deadlock genuinely just feels boring to play.
The number one thing that is most frustrating right now ls the Confirming Match bug. You queue for a game and the status turns to confirming match (eventually, sometimes after almost 10min), and then you get the "A match was found but so and so did not accept" meanwhile the accept match dialogue box never appeared for anyone. It's really annoying
I just had a casual match recently and for the first time, I was not killed by a grenade when I had 2 HP and it was bounced right at me. What you see, is what you might not get.
I cannot go a full day without getting some crazy packet loss that teleports me in a direction or makes my character do a straight up 180, it’s actually unplayable if I wasn’t addicted to playing, so I just deal with losing rounds because I get teleported out from behind cover and shit
I honestly feel just 2 things can fix the game 1.AK sound 2. character sliding (you stop farther than you expect after pressing the counter strafe key)
honestly, the game feels smooth, almost fuzzy in comparison to the crisp feeling of csgo. wouldnt be surprised if a big part of it is sound design, that shit has a serious impact on the feel of the game- placebos can be strong.
Cheating and lack of asynchronous mouse inputs are huge issues. CS2 is just harder to run. They should learn from overwatch and process mouse inputs in between frames.
the biggest thing in my opinion about why it sucks: subtick doesnt suck, they way they wanted it implemented doesnt suck, they just implemented it wrong. they actually just screwed up the implementation, and either dont have a systematic way to check if its done correctly, or they think its correct when it is not.

I'm 100% convinced that sub tick is duplicating events in the backend. I frequently get two hits on people when I only shot one bullet. My movement often doubles. I often get hit twice by one bullet. I think this is why you could fly when running into a teammate when the game launched - the vertical movement was multiplying off of each other in the sub tick system. I can't think of any other explanation.
The thing is, subtick is flawed by design, even on paper. There is a reason why no other developers, including RIOT who made a CS competitor from scratch did not use it.

1. We need Subtick WITH 128 Tick.
2. Better anti cheat for Matchmaking and Premier.
3. Cl_bob, Clear_Decals reintroduced.
4. Older game modes and community modes like surf reintroduced/ revamped.
5. Fix dying behind walls, rubberbanding, and the insane peekers advantage.
6. Improve Bunny hopping and movement.
7. We should always able to reconnect if network drops.
8. Fix the "XYZ" did not accept the match problem where the accept icon does not even show up.

In Dota, everything got better after they switched to Source 2. In CS, they improved the graphics and ruined everything else.
Dota 2 had so many bugs after they switched to Source 2, and it only got better after the devs fixed the game, which took months. This isn't a source 2 issue. Its that, at a bare minimum, there is a massive disconnect between the CS devs and what the community actually wants implemented into the game. Which is a generous interpretation, given that CS2 has been out for some time now and minimal progress toward fixing the game has been made.

the most frustrating thing about cs2 for me is how the character models fucking wobble, lean and deform when they strafe.
In csgo the hitboxes was weird but at least they moved linearly.
Now its so difficult to predict movement because your legs torso and head are all moving weird directions.
in csgo people who practiced movement were actually hard to predict with bhops and air strafing. It was actually impressive and a respectabled skill.

this is what I've chalked up the bad "feeling" of the game up to as well, Dinks make their head jump, their player model moves way more that it did in GO. The default CT agent's head is also like one pixel tall from behind and it's not obvious what will be a headshot and what will be a chest shot. At first I thought it was first bullet inaccuracy but i'm pretty sure it's just the micro movements of the playermodel making close shots miss.

There are many clips about this issue and it's also seen in this video if you've watched it. How subtick works is that respects what high ping players see on their screen. The A player shoots (AWP) while the guy seems to be out on his screen, however at the exact same millisecond the guy took the shot, in real time, the guy jiggling was completely behind the wall. So with subtick, the guy jiggling can die while on his screen, while he is totally behind the wall, just because the high ping player could see him.

SMG's can just run and gun, let alone jumping kill you. Jumping glitches and clipping still. Peekers Advantage issues (still not as horrible as once was, atleast that 1 update was good). Bullet registry and delay inputs. Something, somewhere, Valve knows how to fix these issues. It's just when and where.
They don’t know how to fix these issues within subtick. If they just changed back to a normal tick rate it would solve a lot of the problem but they are determined to make subtick work.

It's just the fact that you can't pull spray in CS2 as efficiently that makes it a nuisance. When some one can just full sideways run and gun you with 0 counter, it depletes the skill in game.

Finally someone said it. I know love CS and I know the CS diehards are too stubborn to admit riot games and valorant do anything better than CS but how fucking hard is it to hire a community manager? Its so depressing man. Everything feels off. I went back to a legacy version of CSGO and played on community servers, and the difference was insane. It is crazy how quickly the muscle memory sets in and the game just feels right again. it is so snappy, and then coming back to cs2 and it feels like im playing through a remote desktop. If i was a casual person i wouldn't care, but i've set in a crazy amount of hours because i legit loved the game, it was always something i'd come back to. Now i dread opening the game.

Compare that video on CSGO and CS2, the hit registers very different. The reason why it rubberband when you hit makes you annoyed, the client and server per tick when you got shot or you shot them.

The target getting slowed his down is called " aimpunch or tagging" Is not the same thing, AImpunch doesnt cause you to teleport but slow you down, Its a mechanics, IN cs2 its a bug, It teleports you when you are engaged in a duel and cause you to miss your target, If subtick its causing this then its a bad system, You cant let server decide your duels in a competitive FPS

When you're getting high ranks and literally feel like you're loosing duels because of game inconsitency it gets frustrating. More frustrating than when you're a silver. Cause u get to understand whats happening in some scenario and it can happen that u die in the worst moment and lose the game cause of it. One bigg loss into an eco/force can easily result into another 1 2 round loss. And yeah. I think Rank matters in this regard..

As a CS:GO die hard fan with 3500hrs + (before CS2, currently 4209hrs) I am genuinely happy I stopped playing CS (atm) just because of all the bugs, movement issues, lags and delays that come with the game. If I was the only player playing CS I would revert to the latest version of CS:GO and continue working on it until CS2 is FULLY ready for release similar to a Rockstar mindset where I don't want to release a half ass game. Sure Source 2/CS2 is dope and smokes are cool/ skins pop more but its just not worth the mechanical downfall that CS2 did to CS:GO. I really do wish CS2 was a separate game like CS 1.6 and CS source (I did not play either of those games unfortunately)
With over 8000 hours on CS:GO, I was quite excited to hear about the "new" CS - until I played the beta. Such a mess. I don't think they can fix CS2 unless they go back to CS:GO and start CS2 from scratch.

Im 36 years old, and I have been playing my soul out with Counter-Strike my whole life, and I've been having a break now for 3 months, and this is the longest break Ive ever had (If I ever had any before). My feeling is just that Valve dosent give a shit, they dont listen to the community what they want and what they dont want. Right now, the experience is Toxicity, Cheaters, and the never ending Mirage. I hate that map so much after all this years, and getting queued on that map everytime you want to play premier makes me not wanna play it anymore.
Its so sad that you really can see how the only thing Valve cares about, is how they can generate more money instead of taking care of the community. They dont give a shit if they have cheaters infecting the game, because they still getting their money, due to buying prime and such. Im just so dissapointed. They have honestly killed the game for me.

@@timvanoers4023 128 was active on faceit for some period of time until valve stepped in and I think they hard coded the 64 tick so that faceit couldnt offer 128 tick while valve was saving money on 64 tick. If I remember correctly ppl were praising how 128 tick servers were working with subtick.

I uninstalled yesterday. My last game not a single one of my teammates bought utility 1 time the entire match. Most of my teammates are filled with players with 1200+ hours who can barely get to 6 kills, trolls and griefers, or people who literally just started playing 3 weeks ago and have no clue what to do, yet they are playing premier.

I am top frag or 2nd on the team most of my games. Hard to gain elo when it's 5v2 after 30 seconds of almost every round.

@@fuhhkuuu3207 The thing about CS is that you can carry yourself out of that elo consistently. You might not win every game, but you can win 70% of them. Focus on taking 1v1 duels by positioning your angles, never hard swing into 2 or more crosshairs. Also look up how to throw utility on each map, you can save your dumb team by smoking mid from spawn.

Not really. The way subtick works is that the server will check what actions the client did on what specific time and then decide what happens next based on that. Your client cannot predict the future, so what happens is that you seem to be still alive on your client before you get the update from the server. In reality the guy really killed you first, it just took a while for your client to get the message. The "what you see is what you get" is poor advertisement. In terms of where you click, sure, but you are still dealing with the delay caused by the server tick rate and network latency. Now it could be my imagination, but for some reason these delays sometimes feel longer than what one would expect based on ping. Also the rubberbanding when getting tagged seems to happen much more when playing deathmatch.
i think online exp sucks, bcs of sub-tick. Still dont udetstand why we dont have atleast option to play with tick and sub system, and find out what the best. I still believe classic 128 will be enough. On CSGO there was a FPS problem, but with CS2 this is not same. U need better pc to play it, so. Also for movement and surfing there was also special tick to play on. Looks like they are hiding someting. Or just it feels like.
In CS1.6 the tickrate is tied to fps. If servers run at 100fps, they update at 100Hz.

I find that the larger the ping differential in a lobby the worse sub tick acts. Peaker advantage, getting shot behind cover, and all the other desync BS gets worse the larger the differential between the players interacting. I have a clip where I clearly missed both my shots on a falling target but the server registered it as a headshot somehow. We were both playing at like 70-80 ping on that server and it might be the worst desync I've seen yet.
Sub tick is poop system and we are FORCED to play that shit. Boooo
I wrote 2 full IT bug-reports, including recorded Hardware live stats and network data. I think they are not able to fix it. Hopefully they get it one day

@@H4VOK_YT ping has nothing to do with playablness, you are facing packet loss issues, I don't. Packet loss means that not all the information is arriving to your pc so you see people teleporting. Ping means just how long it takes for you to send and receive updated packets.

After this last update, I've noticed I'm tagging a lot more after I shoot first. It's always I get off 3 shots that tag and they get off 5 that kill. My crosshair placement & spray feels exactly the same.

The biggest issue for me in cs2 is the ranking system/matchmaking. I have some friends that are pretty bad and are stuck below 5k elo. Since I’m above 10k, Valve says I am not allowed to queue with them. Fair, that makes sense from a balancing standpoint. But what isn’t fair is when people are 15k+ queuing with players below 10k, mostly around the 7 to 8k mark from my experience. It’s straight up boosting and makes me being unable to play with my friends very unfair.

Yep it's terrible. A 9k booster paired with 17k means I'll have a legit solo 9 or 10k on my team. Basically 4v5, guaranteed loss. Unless the boosters play like 10k's.
Not to mention the elo rewards are broken. I played a game -550 / +100, thankfully won that match. Then my next match was -550 / +15. Lol I'm not even kidding. I have screenshots. The +15 is because it was for my promotion match. But I'm getting -550 each time I queue and I'm not even on a losing streak. I'm just going to end up deranking and then "smurfing" on lower ranks. Super broken ranking system in premier.

Worst version of counter strike I ever had chance to play. Shots not register, Random kills, Teleport after hit, Laggy asfff, Dead after wall. No binds, Cheaters even on 2K elo+.. Is this some sort of social experiment or what?

I feel like this video is way too tame for what it actually is. CS2 limited beta was released in september of 2023. Howcome it's been a whole year and the game is still feeling this bad, is still randomly crashing for people and it took one dev post to make people behave like it's unreasonable to expect a functional game? Yeaaah the rubber banding is pretty horrendous. Especially at higher ping. I used to be able to play on NA servers while I was in EU on CSGO and it wasn’t anywhere near as bad

Valve needs to get rid of this subtick thing. It sounded cool and creative at the beginning but it just doesn't work. I feel like the only thing subtick does, is creating irregularities. And we REALLY can't use such a thing in CS. Everything has to be constant and predictable so we can reach perfection. In terms of the game itself and in terms of our own gameplay.
AS much shit that Riot gets for their terrible metas and terrible balancing of the game they at least try to listen to people a lot with monthly dev vlogs, weekly update tweets and more

And packet loss in this game is crazy, inconsistent. I have avg 0.5 upload packet loss, when taking gunfights it suddenly jumps to 1.0+ then after I'm dead, it return to 0.5 avg again.... Wth
Thats your fault though. Packet loss has nothing to do with the game. They use same server location as always and nobody else has this issue

another annoying thing is the fact that after every update the game gets worse in terms of performance. last night was an update of 600mb to fix 2 maps (like wtf? 600mbs to fix 2 spots on 2 different maps, spots that no-one really cares about most likely) and with the updates during last month or so FPS are decreasing dramatically, used to have 500+ fps with drops to 300, now with same settings I get areas where I have 150fps (like wth, I need a NASA computer to play an FPS game in 2024? for comparison, in Valorant I have 4-500+ fps constantly, without drops) not to talk about the servers which are crazy batshiet, I press tab I have 30 ping, I move from spawn and I get dragged back just to see that I got a frame drop and lags, not to talk about the fact that while moving on the map if you hit one teammate you bounce like a basket ball hitting the ground and throws off your movement and all that. we need more performance improvement :(

it's because OW has been on a downward trend and had bad community reception for a couple years. OW at launch through seasons 3-4 might have been the best PvP game of all time (in my opinion), but that was like 1 year of OW's lifecycle. people had already been shitting on OW when OW2 came out whereas CSGO was probably the most refined it ever was when CS2 came out.
CS2's gameplay is fundamentally broken because of many reasons, but OW2 did damn near everything else wrong. Predatory monetization of cosmetics through a shit battle pass system, turning the tank role into a rock-paper-scissors battle, incompetent hero balancing that makes Riot devs look smart, Blizzard straight up lied to the playerbase about the scope of the future PvE content (which was the entire justification for OW2), and the ranked pool is infested with ximming. I won't pretend that Valve is perfect, but the issues that are ruining CS2 can actually be addressed, whereas Blizzard has managed to shoot themselves in the foot so bad that most of the issues that I've mentioned are just baked into the game and are unfixable without a major revisioning of Overwatch 2.
1.) the leg animation looks wierd, it’s like a puppet master is controlling them with wires.
2.) hit reg is wack just something about it that is just really frustrating. Amount of times I have shot someone and it delays and shows a hs like a second later.
3.) the amount of muzzle flash makes spraying feel off.
4.) rubber banding makes the game feel terrible. On my screen I have moved then I get pinged back somewhere else.
Subtick on paper sounds good right? Trying to please everyone ends up pleasing no one.
128 tick server, low ping in csgo was perfectly fine. They got the basics wrong with cs2 the game just feels off.
I used to play for hours and hours. Now I play cs2 for 30 mins and I’m like nope this sucks.
5.) peakers advantage Is absolutely dogshit. I get double dinked with an m4 before I can even begin to click. Holding angles is dogshit
6.) the smokes are way too big. In csgo if u through a random smoke or didn’t line it up there would be gaps or atleast a way to get through it. Now if u lob a smoke anywhere near a doorway, or an entrance. The whole thing is covered. No chance of getting through. So once you get in a site, plant the bomb. Cover off the entrances to the site with smokes. That’s it rounds pretty much done. Yee you can blow up and smoke with a he made. Woo. Either make smokes last less time, or make the explosion clear it for longer.
When you try and jump onto something and then you stub your toe and get forced back to the ground. I can't tell you how many times I've tried to jump onto something and died because I can't jump onto a box.
shots that don't hit, bullets that don't hit you and kill you anyway, I don't know if I'll be the only one, but the Recoil feels horrible, disgusting, useless... I literally live next to servers in Spain and they still kill me after hiding. The thing about me giving you first feels too much... It feels very bad when shooting, it's like I always have LAG or something, the delay is huge, it's disgusting to play, it feels like you're playing on a shitty computer despite having a good computer, it looks like you're playing with shitty internet despite having good internet. It just feels horrible to play, it's not satisfying even to look at, because you see things that aren't and it's very frustrating, a shame, but if they don't do something, Counter Strike is the next Call of Duty, both straight to misery
Fix the core of this bloody game first. Its cucktick at the root of this issue. Cucktick cockblocks where you’re trying to hit, cockblocks when you’re trying to bhop, cockblocks your smooth movement. Spray feels trash with ak, only m4 feels ok which idk how its possible, it should be bad everywhere if its really that bad. If you try to bhop you get stuck to the ground after 2nd or 3rd jump with a glue or some shit. Player models are wobbly when moving and not linear like go. Some shit is always glitching and rubberbanding while moving. Doesnt feel crisp at all. All inputs from my keyboard or mouse feels jittery. Mechanics just feel off and nothing like go. You dont kill clean and you dont die clean. Feels random and lucky or unlucky but def not what’s supposed to happen according to go mechanics. Fps has gone to drain. On i712700h 3060 laptop putting out 450 fps in go to 120-160 fps on cs2 avg. what a bloody joke. Pls dont bring out bloody operation in this state of the game with cs2 cucktick. Cucktick is a task to play with not joy at all.
Ikr normal 64tick was better than subtick also for the m4 i think it feels better maybe because you're using silenced which has a tighter spread so less variance for subtick to account for.

Theres much greater variance/randomness and with sudden pullback effects when killing or getting killed with guns where spread isnt as tight as m4a1s. The sound sucks too. This off feeling is such a big part of not enjoying this games mechanics. It all feels forced.
@@deep_z yea im so tired of the game haven't played since February it genuinely is borderline unplayable and my internet sucks so i have ping spikes every couple of minutes which in most games isn't too big of a problem but in cs2 my game has teammates and stuff teleporting its litterally unplayable, I litterally play overwatch now because tf2 is neglected by valve too and its amazing how even tho ow2 sucks its still better than cs2 i cant even play community servers anymore if i want to do that i play cs source.
I played deadlock for a bit im not really big on MOBAs i tried it and it genuinely sucks i might try and learn it a bit since i played for an hour but deadlock genuinely just feels boring to play.

The number one thing that is most frustrating right now ls the Confirming Match bug. You queue for a game and the status turns to confirming match (eventually, sometimes after almost 10min), and then you get the "A match was found but so and so did not accept" meanwhile the accept match dialogue box never appeared for anyone. It's really annoying
I just had a casual match recently and for the first time, I was not killed by a grenade when I had 2 HP and it was bounced right at me.

honestly, the game feels smooth, almost fuzzy in comparison to the crisp feeling of csgo. wouldnt be surprised if a big part of it is sound design, that shit has a serious impact on the feel of the game- placebos can be strong.

Cheating and lack of asynchronous mouse inputs are huge issues. CS2 is just harder to run. They should learn from overwatch and process mouse inputs in between frames.

my biggest issue with cs2 is the inconsistency. i feel like the same inputs can return multiple outputs.
the biggest thing in my opinion about why it sucks: subtick doesnt suck, they way they wanted it implemented doesnt suck, they just implemented it wrong. they actually just screwed up the implementation, and either dont have a systematic way to check if its done correctly, or they think its correct when it is not.
what's exactly wrong with the implementation and how should it be implemented? I am asking for problems code-wise not feelings-wise, same with your suggested implementation.

I'm 100% convinced that sub tick is duplicating events in the backend. I frequently get two hits on people when I only shot one bullet. My movement often doubles. I often get hit twice by one bullet. I think this is why you could fly when running into a teammate when the game launched - the vertical movement was multiplying off of each other in the sub tick system. I can't think of any other explanation.
The thing is, subtick is flawed by design, even on paper. There is a reason why no other developers, including RIOT who made a CS competitor from scratch did not use it.
