Eric is a malnourished chicken boy who fails at anything that calls for physical strength, and most competitions in general. Donna on the other hand is shown to be pretty strong, they even make fun of it sometimes (especially Jackie).

They're only displaying it as an isolated incident. In no way or shape or form are they saying girls are better at guys at playing basketball and other sports. They're just saying that this fictonal woman (who happens to be 5'10") is better than this fictional man at Basketball and other sports.
