Alcohol Ink Painting - I will prevail

- I have been practicing a specific technique a lot lately to give my paintings a new dimension and love it. However, this particular painting did not start out as my friend which is why it is so long (I trust you will fast forward throught the boring parts). The paint just did not want to flow like I wanted it to. I was just about to stop and set it aside for another time when I started to like what was shaping up so I continued and managed an overall painting that I liked. I didn't want to cut parts out of the video as I wanted people to see that paintings don't just pop onto the paper, you often have to work hard at them. I hope you like it.
Materials:
Grafix craft plastic synthetic paper
Ranger inks in Mushroom, Cranberry, Ember
99% isopropyl alcohol
cotton swabs (to soak up excess ink)
paint brushes
revlon hair dryer

At first i was intrigued by the length of the video...but I'm so glad i watched the entire thing... i have the exact same hairdryer so i was grateful to watch you use it along with the paintbrush. Also you showed everyone it's okay to change your mind along the way! Thank you so much!

yes you did prevail, and that was great, i hope to some day. What is the exact model number of the hair drier and the settings you used? You inspired me to be creative, I would like to explore alcohol inks. thank you Ellen
Thank you Ellen. I use a revlon RV444CF Hair Styler minus the attachment. It is 500 watt and I generally use low heat on Nara paper.

Thank you so much Carol. Yes, I use my dryer on cool low, but I also have a peddle speed control that I love and can have it on very low when I want.
Did you use the hot setting on the hairdryer? Beautiful work and totally get what you put down doesn't always turn out like you thought. You did great!

Thanks for the feedback Reena. I appreciate what you are saying. I am not yet at the point where I am prepared to explain as I am still very much exploring the art. I am sharing this journey in hopes others get inspired as I did/do when I watch others.
