I love Allen, but I like when he says, "You better move on" and they don't do it, and they get it. He's done that before too If they had moved on like Allen suggested, the contestant would lose 50 dollars
Someone made a comment on here about Carol, and I couldn't agree with it MORE. Allen, as much as I like him, had the NERVE to tell that last contestant to stop the gestures when Carol was doing it like crazy through the WHOLE game! (although I DID think Allen had given up on Carol. He was probably TIRED of telling her over and over again! and she was DELIBERATELY ignoring him :(
His father a great talent left USA for England . He was red baited. Charlie was a complicated man. His affinity for the downtrodden manifested it self in his leftist politics. He supposedly was not a good father according to a biography.
HAHAHAHA You ARE joking, of course. #1, Allen told that guy ONCE about the gestures and you make it sound like he told him a half a dozen time lol. He did it ONCE. Carol did it through the ENTIRE show, and yet HE was the bad guy? lol (ok) actually, I think Allen just gave UP telling Carol. She DELIBERATELY was ignoring him :(
I could not believe when Carol’s partner used his hand in a small gesture to help with the Peter (Pan) clue, and Allen said watch your hands ! Because Carol was using crazy hands the WHOLE game ! 🐩
I'll tell you why, Dale. Without actually "fixing" the games, the producers chose the order of the words offstage based on the score of the game at the time. If one team was ahead 19-0, for example, the team with zero will give the first clue for the next word. The word was likely to be a fairly easy 10-point password, something like "export." Now it's 19-10, the contestant who just got the 10-point word feels a little better, and the producers can go back to the "regular" choice of words. They always kept the "bigger picture" in mind.
I love it when someone says something questionable, and Allen looks right into the camera.

Carol was charming and witty in everything she did.
There will always be but one Carol Channing.
I love carol, she is great and incredible personality.
Carl Channing went to my High School would occasionally visit in the 70’s.

Carol Channing was good at this game -- R.I.P.
She was annoying, was she drunk
LOOOOOL Carol was HORRIBLE at this game (where were YOU looking)
I always wanted to see Dr. Reason A. Goodman just once.
I think he's the voice that introduces the new password.
is he an actual person?
This is so good.
It's nice to see Sydney Chaplin in something. Personally, I think he would have been a natural for panel shows like TTTT or WML
He was only 38 years old in this show- to me he looks at least 10 years older.
His father a great talent left USA for England . He was red baited. Charlie was a complicated man. His affinity for the downtrodden manifested it self in his leftist politics. He supposedly was not a good father according to a biography.
I saw him with Barbra Streisand in "Funny Girl" three times.
@@kentetalman9008, that had to be great!!
"That isn't me, that's Louie Armstrong."😂
0:13 He looks like his father.
Jesus loves y'all! Have a blessed day!
Wow! Sidney Chaplin is smoking 😮
ELVISSS! THE BEATLESSSS!
"ELVIS!" I love Sydney so much 😂
Lol! 20:07 Even Jack Clark was laughing!
😂😂 It's a good episode when JC laughs
Sizzling!
To add to the clue for "Deputy" I might say something like "Underling" and/or "helper" (after sheriff)
Carol goes from brilliant one minute to brain dead in the blink of an eye.
She was never brain dead!
@@nonenoneonenonenone It could all very well have been an act.
@@nelsonricardo3729 Yes- totally the Ditsy behavior was an act. She was sharp as a tack.
Carol looked like she had a crush on the first guy who was her partner. Lol!
Audrey Mai I don’t blame her, he’s cute!
Carol must have been cold enough to keep her coat on in the studio.
25:01 - 25:03 Oh, look! In the upper left-hand corner! It's Diamond Dallas Page! See? Being a big enough wrestling fan DOES pay off!
How many times did that that [last] contestant David have to be told by Allen not to use his hands to gesture his clues?

For "Shriek" I was thinking the word either "Horror" or "Psycho"
I would have said Banshee.
The password is "Beaver".
And we were also ladies and gentlemen.
If you think that the money prizes are ungenerous, $500 in 1964 is equal to $4,800 in 2022.
This was before..Charlie's son..Syd would gain alot of weight, grow a beard and his voice would become raspy.
Sydney had a bio brother who was really beautiful when he was young but drugs and alco changed his looks and he died early.
2:29 "......Mustache, you look like your dad." His poor father had been alienated by the U.S. >:(
Sure he hated hearing that.
for 'shriek' I'd have said Banshee
I wonder why each password had to be delivered in real time. Why not load up a whole box of passwords?
UA-cam

@@kokoken1 Thanks. I also wonder if the celebrities were actually given “potential” words that would be in play for them to think of clues in advance.
Natasha Lyonne would make a great Carol Channing
Beatnik is a word not used after the 1960's...
Working girl. Hmmmm. You never heard “Are you a working boy?”
I shuddered when that question was asked..."working girl" has a whole different meaning in some places today..
they say carol was so very different when not doint her carol channing schtick.poor thing she not so gr8 at this game:: ditzy.
yikes, such a ciggy addict he smokes during the show, nasty
