Rum runner is nice blooms really dark and lightens in color as the day goes by. If you don’t pay attention you might think you have two different plants haha
Hi I live in northern VA and have a couple of beautiful pink tropical hibiscus trees in pots. I brought them inside the house near windows in hopes of saving them from the colder fall temperatures and winds and upcoming winter. How should I care for these babies now through next spring? What should I be doing besides keeping them inside??
Nice explanation, thanks so much !
Excellent & informative. Thank you for sharing.
I also plan this flower. I like the best.
Informative video, thanks. Your plants grow well in a flower pot . I grow hibiscus plants too, the flowers are very beautiful.
Thanks! Very informative video tutorial 🌺🌼🌸
Hello 👋
My hibiscus 🌺 are id say 4-5 years young, I live in Jacksonville Florida, my question or issues are they've grown over 8ft tall ,id like to trim them down some today is 10/26/20 & they're still flowering..the main stems are id say a quarter size maybe 1/2 dollar at the bottom..
Thank you. I have many types of hibicius plant
excellent presentation..
Great video! I bought a few hibiscus plants from you guys last year. Very happy customer here. Will you add new ones this season?
Mine has turn into a tree and don't bloom any more what can I do😊
Does anyone know if the American Hibiscus Soc. is still going.
I brought my tropical hibiscus in for its first winter it sat in front of my window for the winter. It lost most of its leaves and so has bare stems now, and new leaves are forming in the middle of the top but all the bare stems have nothing. Do I prune those back or just leave them before I set her outside for the spring and summer?
Scratch the bark to see if the stalk is green. If it is, then leave them and see if it will grow. If it is not green, it means it’s dead so prune it off.
thank you
Love your presentation. Our gardener totally pruned our newly planted tropical Hibiscus tree, round, rather than free form, as I’d hoped it might grow. Help, how can I have it return to a free-form beauty? TY
Hopefully it's better now since it's been two years but just care about full trimming and in time it will grow back
Good job.
Good information
Nice information 👍. Stay connected.
Is it ok to prune it n the summer
Absolutely! These are vigorous growers and respond well to pruning.
Early spring or fall
Useful video thank you sir.my hibiscus plant’s doesn’t have buds no blooming what can I do
Are you fertilizing it at all? If so, what is the NPK value on the fertilizer and how often is it being applied?
This plants is a heavy feeder and must have at least 4 hrs direct sun daily to bloom. Keep soil slightly moist at all times and give good humidity. Some can be challenging.
thank you excellent presentation
Thank you, I live on the tropical coast of Kerala, India .We have a day temp between 26 - 32 degree celcius from Nov to Feb, Do you think I should prune my Hibiscus now? oh and I must mention that some of the leaves are turning yellow.
You can certainly prune your hibiscus now. Just make sure that you don't cut more than 1/3 of the plants full growth away at a time.
@@LogeesPlants thank you very much.
Jayapaddy, I m also in kerala. Cherthala. I m looking for information on how to trim my hisbiscus. It started flowering only two days back. Yellow flowers. It's 6 feet high. I want to let it keep flowering but want to trim it. Pl advise
Do you cut off dead blooms or let them fall off themselves?
You can trim off the dead blooms. Won't harm them at all.
Should I cut off blooms after they flower and remove yellow leaves
You can remove blooms once they've finished, or allow them to fall on their own. Either way won't harm the plant at all.
Do you grow any of the hibiscus trees? It is difficult to find information about them.
We do grow our hibiscus on site. We have many helpful articles and videos for the hibiscus on our website www.Logees.com
whats the best soil for hibiscus?
We grow in a standard peat lite or soilless mix that is common throughout the industry. You can buy at retail garden centers.
