- A little over a month ago I posted a video on how to build the best "Revenant Minion Setup", and while this design is extremely useful for 1 block wide mobs, it doesn't work for the very popular slime minions. As a result, I spent some time tweaking my initial setup to make one designed specifically for larger-hitbox mobs, and I'm proud to say that I believe I've come up with the most compact, convenient and simplistic slime minion design :)

After some testing, it makes 3-4% more money to use diamond spreading instead of the minion expander in the corrupt soil method.
I was going to try this but I wanted to get the video out as soon as possible. I will verify this comment with my own testing and if you're right, I'll pin it

yeah, packing them up seem to do less for some reason, i build them at seperated plot, take more time to collect but seem faster

I use this setup w/ 28 t11 mithril infused slime minions and just log on during derpy. I don’t play anymore so i just get on and collect the minions every few months. Collecting during derpy also gives me double minion rates so it’s really great income.

All of the slimes hopping south is not a hypixel thing, iirc. In older versions of Minecraft, slime AI was made so they just hop in one direction, tho I'm unsure if it was just south.
Yo, I actually did some testing with which minion setups were the best, and from my calculations tier XI slime minions with corrupt soil, enchanted hoppers, AND super compactor 3000's were the best by FAR. My testing showed an almost 70% increase in profits in some cases. If you want the full study I can post the link to it too, btw. It's pretty goated.
how does sc3k work with enchanted hopper and why is it better
@@TheGamer-yh4lw The super compactor just compacts sulfur and slime, leaving the corrupted fragments to sell to the npc. This means you get all of the profits of the compactor and the soil, while just missing out on the diamonds, which aren't a big part anyways.

@@TheGamer-yh4lw I tested this aswell for a little less than a day, my rates were around 162k with minion expanders, and 277k with super compactor 3000. so the 70% more profit is really accurate

You can make the slimes centered by placing water in opposite corners and theb signs and on top of signs same thing but opposite corbers

good setup invested quite a bit of money and now earned back quite alot of money and with the money from just the minions i made enough to t11 like 14 slime minions that were t9

Underrated channel
Im testing an idea EXCLUSIVE to corrupt minions, and going with a 2x2 instead of a 3x3, since I dont need chests. I will update on how it goes. Note: im on 29 slots so i need to make either 3 of the 3x3 or 4 of the 2x2

unfortunately, this does not work. I attempted it but the slimes need a 3x3 space to spawn AT LEAST. 2x3 does not work either. I will continue to test 3x3 ways to afk slime minions, as the 30% bonus is too good to ignore w magma cube.

if you north to south 2 long and east and west 3 long and remove the north panes it lets all of them spawn and it doesnt make them not reach but sometimes they are dumb but its only for like 2 seconds then they stop
instead of slabs I decided to use string, because the glass would connect to the slabs in the version I was in. but a weird glitch occured where even when I broke the string, the carpet would stay afloat

@@conciliatory I'm bout to use this setup for money and I have a question, how often do you have to sell slime on bazaar? Can I just leave the minions and they will still make good amount of money? (I have 30 minion slots)
@vibecheck3434 it doesn't really matter when you sell the items (only if you are using the method without the super compactor 3000. Otherwise, you really have to be attentive)

Whilst running 20ish t11s i found that putting water in the corners of your area pushes em to the center which should make that setup slightly better

does this work while offline? i currently have corrupt soil, minion exp and e hopper with a normal minion grid all t11. Im mostly offline now becuase of collage. so i was wondering if your setup was better and if it worked while offline like my setup.

I currently have a corrupt soil setup in normal boxes and i placed water in all the edges to keep the slimes in the middle of the box

How about you do make the box 2 blocks wide although it only fits 8 minions I think couls work or a 3 by 2 platforn for the base

Personally, i do the 7x7 setup and pour water at the sides so that the slimes are pushed into the middle. I get abt 225k per day using corrupt soil for ea minion.

I am using 21 slime 11s and making around 5.4m/day by using super compactor + corrupt soil + enchanted hopper (compacting only works while off the island) which allows for the corrupt frags to sell for around 60-120k/day and the slime and sulphur to be compacted. Only using enchanted lava buckets right now so those numbers can go way up + no mithril infusion or beacon. Hope this helps :)

From what I can tell this only works if you build your minions out in the void area. I tried building it nearby my base and the smiles will just spawn there instead. I then tried using slabs and carpets in a 20x20 radius around the farm and the continued to spawn on the carpeted area. Best I can tell you need to just have them way out in nowhere to take away all options for them to spawn

if you place fences on the south side of the box, would it make it so that the north minions can also reach the slimes while ur on the islands
The slimes can't spawn if you obstruct the spawning platform like this

another solution can be to expand the cage and widen it, then only place slime minions on the south side

So I have slime minions with corrupt soils minions expanders and enchanted hoppers but I also have enchanted lava buckets, I would love to know if that makes me more money

yes
If you want your slimes to not go to the south of the island, you can put the contraption in the middle of your island, direct middle.
The Facing south problem was solved by using trapdoors as the spawning platform

i figured out how to make them go to center.
Make a barrier one layer higher than roof and place them like slabs but slabs are under the blocks, and in the corners place watter.

@@JaK_Winter2099 you make that building, go on a roof, make a barrier one layer higher and above slabs and then place water in the corners so that slimes get sucked in the center.

looking to do this myself but have a few questions about the rates:
1. were u using e lava, magma or plasma?
2. were they mithril infused?
3. Did u have the beacon buff?
4. did u have a magma cube pet?
5. will the standard 5x5 afk afk pool w/o intimidation work to afk them properly given that ur spinning around and aren't standing "directly" above/below the cages?
weird he didnt mention any of this in the video, but based off my own minions I think these are the answers:
1. elava
2. not mithril infused
3. no beacon buff
4. no magma cube
5. If you have cookie this shouldn't matter because you can just stand there afk, but no it probably wont work using a 5x5, try a 3x3 one instead
i am pretty sure he wa using plasma bevandret i use e lava and i get 160k coins per 24 hours with corrupt soil where as he gets 190k
@@PolarBearLofi No, you can see in the video the icon of the fuel and it's Enchanted Lava. The reason he got 190k is because he also emptied the whole inventory with the corrupted items and vendored them to the NPC and added that to the sales.
You can argue if this is valid or not, because in reality you don't empty the corrupted items. You just collect the hopper so that it continues. But I can also see why he included it to compair with the setup that is using a compactor.
Forgot about this, was mostly focused on the design rather than the money earnt.
Qchex nailed it though, I had:
- Enchanted Lava
- No Infusions
- No Beacon
- No Magma Cube AFK
- I don't think so. You're probably going to need a cookie to keep them in the centre at all times

U can use a minion expander
Small tip: if you place the slabs half a block higher you won’t need to place carpets, while still being able to reach the minions
Is it also suitable if you are offline for 20 days our more? And is it better than setting up each slime minion regularly?
Absolutely! It's kind of ideal if you're gone for ages because you'll come back to tons of money sitting in the hoppers

What if you take out the minions that cannot reach the slimes and just put them in the next layer? Doesnt that solve the issue?

I have an idea that might work for the south facing problem, but the smaller ones might still go south. So, how about you guys try putting a second layer of pillars in the corner of the contraption so that they get stuck in the middle, I haven't tried it but you guys can.

I’m curious to know if design matters? I have 24 t11 slime minions with ench hoppers, super compactors 3k and corrupt soils with each getting their own 5x5 space. To cover each minion sometimes losing control of their slimes, I made a small drop pit area with water in 4 corners underneath each minion that funnels the slimes directly underneath them. Should I swap out the super compactor with diamond spreading as the pinned comment said? Should I build this design instead of each minion having their individual 5x5 space??
If your not online it wont matter. If you arent on your island then the design wont matter, but if your planning to afk it will. Since skyblock only runs a calc for the money it wont matter

Hey soldier, try using corrupt soil with a super compactor 3000 instead of the minion expander. The slimeballs get sold to the npc which gives you way less money than if you sold to the bazaar. With this setup you would be able to sell the slimeballs at bazaar price, and still sell the corrupt stuff to the npc.
They don't fill with super compactors

PSA, don’t let it reach the point where you get enchanted slime blocks. You must collect minions before that time bc you lose a TON of money selling e-slime blocks. Look at the price of 160x e-slime balls vs 1 e-slime block. It’s insane

the higher the tier of the minion the faster it generates the goods and the better it is. recommended tier is XII (11)

Use super compactor if you are going to sell manually or if you have budget hopper.
If you have enchanted hopper or just dont wanna sell it yourself you dont need super compactor.
If that makes sense

Easier to collect
It's just a convenience thing. Much more compact, less island space, less cluttered, etc. Not exactly necessary but I much prefer it for collections
Thank you for this guide, I like the look of this because the mobs are contained and wont hit me. Does them being spawned in the box affect the gathering rate of the minion?

@@praysed8575 I didnt know how the spawn rate worked, because if shows you to make a 5x5 box. I thought it might affect spawn rates.

just tried it out, and it makes them say that there isnt space to spawn them, sadly there is no way to make them go into middle without the intimation talisman way
@@floating_cookie Place a fence door one block above water and open it. They will spawn in the center and fall through the fence.
@@plekkx they all spawn in the middle of the box regardless if you do that or not, the problem is due to hypixel's weird coding all the slimes just move to 1 side of the box. as i said there is no way to KEEP them in the middle except for the intimidation talisman way
