The fact that you’ve kept putting work into this blaster for 9 years is a testament to your skill as a modder, Cap. Eir was the blaster that inspired me to try my hand at modding beyond simple spring replacements, so it makes me happy to see her still being improved.

I opened it up just recently and remembered, my soldering iron wasn’t correctly functioning at the time, so I glued all of the wires into place with Hot Glue. I had always assumed that I had soldered them in, but nope. And at the time I had only opened it so that I could se did I needed to resolder anything since I had gotten a new soldering iron, and was horrified by what I found.

Thank you Xavier for this video, a long time ago when I found your channel and seen you was showing the internals of EIR It was great work back then. I really love the Rocket launcher you've created and will be waiting to see on what you do with it in Phase III. Thank you again.
Honestly Cap makes me want to film and post mods that I do. Seriously love everything on this channel and I cannot wait to see the complete overhaul EIR
Oooooh, thanks for this, since it teaches me how to upgrade the stampede I picked up today. And show's me my mad idea to add a rocket launcher to mine is the right idea.
Sunny: Say what you well about the battery compartment, but it's probably the best example of what can be made work in that compartment for the people who can't get access to lipos because those are hard to get in some countries. The amrs being in the old wiring video is an idea that's aged poorly but we will probably do the separate auxiliary circuit when we integrate a battery stock into our stryfe and convert it to 3s because we really don't want to power LEDs and likely some microcontrollers off the 3s lipo because buck converters on all sounds more annoying than just using the stock battery compartment and AAs for the accessories.
What perfect timing ... I've just pulled the trigger on one and am awaiting its delivery 😆😎 . Not knowing the full state of what's going to arrive I'll be following with very great interest (as well as delving into the general todo's surrounding Stampedes 😉 )
If you can't get the compressor motor to work again could probably look up some of those portable tire inflators they might have a motor small enough and some of them are even digital so you can program them to the right PSI.
Glad you are giving this old Girl an Upgrade. glad to see her getting and Update for the current Community standurds. glad you didn't just use the Icon's shell for the EIR upgrade, because that would be mean to EIR
Maybe I might have missed this and the capt has already done this, but how much work would it be to be able to do a Stampede that fires rival rounds from a proton pack? I know it probably be mostly cosmetic but would awesome to see especially with Rival pew pewing out the barrel...
When moving to 9KG you can actual re-purpose the stock mainspring as your return spring. I haven't noticed any better or worse runaway protection from using that vs the worker offering in 3 of my Stampedes.
@horusrogue I did the same when I replaced my main spring with a Rival spring. I had an issue with the catch not releasing until I cut the return spring (repurposed stampede main spring) down by a couple coils.
Hi. If you could put vintage blasters in the modern day, what changes would you make to them, and what series would you put them in? (ie, elite, doomlands, mega, zombie strike, rebelle, alphastrike, ultra, rival) the list for this challenge includes: crossbow, lock n load, bow n arrow, big bad bow, blazin bow(i consider this vintage), secret shot 1 and 2, at1k, at2k, at3k, at4k, sneakshot, ratchetblast, electric eel, rapid fire 20, sawtooth, ripsaw, reactor, arrowstorm, chainblazer, expand a blast, hornet, scout, og titan, mad hornet, warthog, defender t3, tech target, supermaxx line, and fastblast
Again, a more complex breach is far more likely to have not just jams but catastrophic, cannot be cleared easily in the field, jams. Remember, I only want 90-100 fps and I am already at 80. I don't need much.
@@CaptainXavier that is true but I wouldn't consider a push breach to be that complicated, hence it pushed the dart into the barrel releases the catch and opens again, once the barrel is set right its easy sailing.
