We were at Luton at the same time, but three days before! Shame we didn't bump into you. Thanks for showing us Wizz Air, we were wondering what they were like. Poland is on our 'to do' list of city breaks.
Another very informative and entertaining video, price breakdown was very useful. We flew Wizz from Bucharest to Budapest earlier this year and like you thought they were fine (think they are Hungarian but have subsidiaries eg Wizz Malta and Wizz UK). We are connoisseurs of budget airlines, and these days take our own provisions rather than rely on their dubious and highly expensive food (as you detailed). Can't remember if we told you on a flight between the Philippines and Aus we took a loaf of bread from the supermarket, bought a roast chicken at the airport and made our own chicken sandos on the plane. Not that we're cheap or anything.
Was it sandwiches because they stopped you from using a disposable barbeque onboard? All we've got at our airports are WH Smiths and Boots; unfortunately, neither sells roast chickens. 🤣
@ bbq- now there’s an idea 😂 Philippines is pretty good for roast chicken and roast pork stalls so we thought there’d be one at the airport. However, just checked out Luton and there’s an M&S - you could have taken Colin the caterpillar for a trip.
I used to love flying (I did actually have a pilot's license until it lapsed a few years ago) but myself and Mel love the ease of cruising and the lack of hassle. I am no longer a fan of flying, unless I can go First Class and I'm not paying 🤣
I flew return from Luton to Ljubljana two years ago as part of a Christmas package to Lake Bled. Despite being under Covid restrictions, I found WizzAir very good. I'd booked a window seat in row two and the plane was only about half full, with no-one else in my row on the outward leg. The plane seemed either completely new or very recently refurbished with everyrhing in pristine condition and the cabin crew were great. I think there was a very short delay outbound but we actually landed a few minutes ahead of schedule. Given that experience, I'd use WizzAir again, at least if it was the carrier for a tour company.
Looks like an awesome menu for a budget airline, any airline in economy. Got to wonder why WIZZ is not known for that. Perhaps, their their flights are so short, that people don't eat much?
Fortunately the Wizz flight was quite good. Ryanair excepted, there are better airlines available but their fares are higher and the flights are indirect.
Another fantastic informative video from you guys. Always wanted to go to Danzig/Gdansk. Marcus, I wanted to contact you about Porthcawl; do you have an email or contact address please.

Nice to have a video from you in the week Marcus
Thanks, it's trying to find the time to edit them. I filmed a walk today and hope to get that out early next week on my other channel.

We had a great time in Gdansk. Very interesting and very reasonable too.
Hi Marcus very interesting video 😊
Hey, thanks

Have you flown Vueling? I fly with them on Tuesday 😅
Yes, from Cardiff to Mallorca but it was quite a long time ago. It was fine as far as I can remember.
Love going from southampton every time 😊 hate flying

great deal
Yes, cheaper than staying at home.

We would use them again too, the return trip was on time. From the reviews, it looks like they aren't very good when things go wrong.
@@flydriveexplore Perhaps we were lucky then!
Wizz air compensation paid for the next family holiday lol
That happened to use with Norwegian back in 2019.

Around Europe you can get to a lot of countries from London in 2 to 3 hours.
Fortunately the Wizz flight was quite good. Ryanair excepted, there are better airlines available but their fares are higher and the flights are indirect.
Yes, it was quite good for us and the return but when things go wrong they tend to leave you in the lurch according to the reviews.
I find the whole process of flying tiresome, cruising from Southampton is so much nicer, especially as we only live 40mins away.
Yes, they do treat you like cargo and make you stand inline a lot.

Please do not wear cologne or scents on planes. People can be very sensitive to smells
I've smelt much much worse on planes!
