Yass Flowsik! And that's really dope to hear that he helped out on the Mic Drop remix. I still bop to that, but we need DPR on Fun With Dumb hands down
I was so glad to hear Flow recognized that on SMTM5 he should have won, respect him a lot more for stating that than trying to play it humble and act like he didn't know what was going down...
I know I’m late but, all due respect as much as I think Flowsik should have made it farther, he wouldn’t have won. BewhY is one of the winners that towered over everyone. I think Flowsik should/could have made it to the Finals, but he never would have beat BewhY.
This is one of my favorite episodes so far. I like how Flowsik is aware of how Korean rap is perceived by non-korean speakers, and even how his music is perceived by other Koreans. It was clear Dumb wasn't trying to go into the direction the conversation was going in at 33:00, but it's nice to know Flow and Rek are aware of such things and willing to express the mimicking issue instead of pushing it under the rug. Much respect and can't wait to see what Flow puts out next.
@Savette Yeah, I noticed that, too. Dumb totally took it before it dropped. And Jay’s face looked like , “What???” for a few seconds. Lol He should have just let Flow keep it 💯. 🤷🏻♀️ People who actually know the culture because it is their culture are going to know the difference anyway.
20:42 Thank you Flowsik!! This is the thing some kpop fans don't understand when it comes to the difference in being an idol rapper and a (artist) rapper. Lyricism is the bare bones of HipHop. Pop culture can be and is very limiting for actual rap lyricists. These rappers make full albums with full length tracks, on the regular. The artistry of rap shouldn't be confined to a catchy rap line and that's it. Js Damn Birdman stays being trash lol
Nick-E Nicole that’s y dumb said some good rappers r limited to what they can do n some of them were underground rappers but doesn’t exactly mean they ain’t good but they follow different culture n you path
There are some good idol rappers that are limited by their labels and I think that sucks. I wish ppl also realized that just because some underground rappers aren't idol rappers doesn't make them authentic hip hop either.
@@NONPOINT420 it was an extension of what you were saying. I was saying that the idol community feels as if putting words together is hip hop and its not. If they actually allowed some idols (a few) to express themselves, we could really see what they're made of. You guys are amazing. I love to see more diversity in the music industry, and I can't wait until it's more common to see Asian artists coming thru in the music industry. Music shouldn't be limited to any race/ethnicity. Also, Flowsik, I love you. Keep grinding, keep driving, keep believing. I love your raps. I love your flow. Your voice gives me fucking life. You have tons of fans who love and support you in the US. Hopefully, one day I'll get to see you in all your glory.
Wow my respect for Flowsik just grew immensely. I love how strongly he felt about cultural appropriation especially when it comes to K rappers because that's what is basically is. He seems like a really cool guy!✊🏾

I agree with Flow. Every time I see some of these Kpop rappers trying to mimic AA rappers hair/style/flow it’s not authentic. I comes off fake. It really is an insult.
