Good episode. Rick is a good co-host. He has good questions, is insightful, and is really good at complementing the guest. Keep grinding. Can't wait for the new YOX album.
Good to see you back!!! I would love to see David So back or maybe Simon Dominic! That could be amazing! It could also be fun to see Stephanie Soo on here. It's maybe out of the norm, but then you could be on her channel eating! :D
ITS A LIE!!! I ran into G2 and Reddy in a bar in Long Beach and asked if he was Dumb's cousin and he really did take a pause before "...yeah we're cousins". The betrayal!
Dumb, I just saw the two episodes of you on Tigerbelly...and then I listened to your music (Cafe Bleu album on repeat 😁)...and now I'm subbed to your podcast! I'm so happy I got to discover your art! 🙏🏾
Don't sleep on my dude Andrew Yang. All you need to do is check out one long-form interview (Joe Rogan, H3, Breakfast Club) to see that he makes a ton of sense and has a good vision for the way this country should be headed.
Seattle to Seoul for JP, LA to Seoul for you. Was surprised seeing you on that show-"Sign here". Guess JP is copying you with the podcast, something fun for him to do over there, no doubt.
22:58 Perhaps the first impeachment, but a lot of crazy political events (as with any new democracy) in South Korean history, which is still relatively young: 1960 - Syngman Rhee, the first president of South Korea, resigned (okay, but wasn't impeached, so you're still right G2) after protests in Masan, where a high school kid died after being shot in the eye socket with a tear gas grenade by riot police, and in Seoul at Korea University. Just learned about this weeks ago after being in Masan. Check out "April Revolution" on Wikipedia. 1979 - President Park Chung-Hee, Park Geun-Hye's father, gets assassinated by the director of the Korean CIA. Check out "Assassination of Park Chung-hee" on Wikipedia and read up on how the actual assassination went down. I have trouble even punching someone, so I can't even imagine the stones on the guy who did the killing. 1980 - President Chun Doo-Hwan basically does a Korean Tiananmen Square where 200 protesters in Gwangju either died or went missing. After it seems that South Korea's heading towards a military dictatorship, I get the feeling that a ton of South Koreans moved elsewhere. Check out "Gwangju Uprising" on Wikipedia. Probably worth asking the parents about these events if they're still around - I'm sure our folks came to the States, Argentina and elsewhere to get the hell away from what seemed to be an unstable and economically unpromising (oops!) situation.
this was such a fun episode. Dumb has so much potential. hahahaha. and i think it would be interesting to see Andrew Yang on here. watched him on another podcast and he has some interesting ideas.
Saw that kid G2 tryna put his name out there performing at a Korean bar called "Key" ugp's mama's place. Didn't know who that kid was til my lil bro told me about him.

Haha this shit lowkey inspires me man! Just to see my closer age ppl talking abt real shit that happens in their life and how relateable they are to me, even tho you guys are popular ppl is just funny and great. We all have fuckn struggle, but i just dont share it. By just watching this feels as if my stress and anxiety is being relieved lol thanks guys
You should also ask "How come when Korean AMERICANS go to Korea to sing or rap, the lyrics make no god damn sense?" It's like they forgot how to speak English. :P
Any possibility that I’m not the only one who believes that “SAAY” would make a great interview for the podcast ? And if y’all have no idea who I’m referencing... shame on y’all for being malnourished AF in music..
Good episode. Rick is a good co-host. He has good questions, is insightful, and is really good at complementing the guest. Keep grinding. Can't wait for the new YOX album.
