    1. Don’t be a know-it-all.
    2. Don’t embarrass yourself at socials; you’re still being assessed.
    3. Don’t dress unprofessionally (would I wear this to an interview?)
    4. Keep up to date with current events (politics, financial market, etc.)
    5. Be continuously learning.
    6. Never bad-mouth behind people.
    7. Don’t sit at your desk all day.
    8. Don’t be too informal.
    9. Don’t ask the same question twice.
    10. Use your head. Some questions are better asked to an intern or analyst.
    11. Don’t miss deadlines - Only take on work you can complete ahead of the deadline
    12. Don’t take on too much work.
    13. Don’t abuse the company’s policy (ex: too much gym, restroom…)
    14. Don’t always stay overtime. People might think you’re struggling.
    15. Don’t assume you will remember everything. Take notes all the time.
    16. Don’t split your time poorly. (split it into: desk work, project work, networking)
Don’t leave your internship with any regrets.

Invaluable advice as always Afzal, thank you. You mentioned at the end that you have to present a project, would you be able to do a video going further into this and giving advice on how to do well on it. Much appreciated, keep it up.

Dont get drunk, dont talk crap about another desk even in passing or in agreement( maybe agreeing with criticism of one person is ok but never criticise a whole team regardless of the in house politics) , not worth it ! Oh and memorise every single excel shortcut before you start week 1 lol ..solid advice and great channel

I laughed at my manager when we were drunk in a party. Got away with it but yes it is recommended to not let it flow at such parties.

I have an internship with USS upcoming in about 5 days time. You helped me a lot with that one video about different resources that can be used where you mentioned The Brokerage and SEO London as well as your other videos. SEO were able to help me get in touch with the company who saw my CV and invited me to an interview where I had to do a presentation.
Ended up smashing it and got an offer though it sadly is non convertible though maybe I could become an exception.
Do you have any advice on how to deal with SJT's or Situation Judgment Tests? those are extremely challenging sometimes and the resources out there to learn about them and how to smash them are a little all over the place. If you could do a video like that I feel that a lot of us would benefit from it.
Thanks again for the video and advice you've helped me out a ton as well as many others

"Don't ask the same question twice" - If you did not understand what they meant, etc. Is it ok to follow up? or does this depend on how time-intensive the situation is?

Hi, could you expand plz on 'going to other desks' regarding networking? Do you mean with full-time employees or interns? Wouldn't some people get annoyed, etc?

Man these are some garbage advices. If the work place needs to put you in a system already and you need to change your whole attitude because you're paranoid that you might get fired, just leave that place and go somewhere where they have your mindset. You'll be interning there getting paid the least and you need to perform as the best professional? Nah bradar then you are chasing a dream that your mind doesn't want you to have. The rest of the stuff of what you said are good only if you want to be a people pleaser or you really want to stay in an environment as a miserable person who doesn't belong there anyway.

(Living in France, these guys were not "diverse" but still was funny). I hear at a bar people talking about finance so I try to have a quick chat with them.
I ask a guy if he is in "market" finance he replied me 3 times "no I am in front office".... (inc intern sales at a french B tier bank)
I told them was gonna do trading on "commo" so we may talk to each other one day.
Later a friend told me he heard them and they thought I was an independant recruiter who took some kind of commissions :/

Do not do personal business in internship. One guy was building his ecommerce business. Also never ever get annoyed and show it at desk - especially a senior. One intern threw peanut smack in face of a vp. So unprofessional and not what you would expect of a good graduate
