      This birch wasn't 100% dry but it wasn't super green either.

      @@SylvaSpoonvideos A hatchet is about half the length of a hand axe. You'll also notice that the head shape is different between hatchets and axes. Hatchet heads are smaller and have a much more significant taper, while an axe head is larger and features a very slight taper.

      Saying a hatchet isn't an axe is like saying a Honda Civic isn't a car. 'Axe' covers a wide range of tools that includes hatchets, felling axes, broad axes, tomahawks, hewing axes, double bit axes and more.
