@@SylvaSpoonvideos A hatchet is about half the length of a hand axe. You'll also notice that the head shape is different between hatchets and axes. Hatchet heads are smaller and have a much more significant taper, while an axe head is larger and features a very slight taper.
Saying a hatchet isn't an axe is like saying a Honda Civic isn't a car. 'Axe' covers a wide range of tools that includes hatchets, felling axes, broad axes, tomahawks, hewing axes, double bit axes and more.
When it looks so easy to do, you know you're looking at an amazingly talented and skilled artist.
Thanks Bam Bam
great to see you again Tom. (missed you at the Driftless Spoon Fest)
Next time!
Bro speedrunned a spoon🤯🤣💀
🏃♂️💨
Amazing skills! How dry is the birch?
This birch wasn't 100% dry but it wasn't super green either.
This is wonderful! What axe is that?
It's the Small Carver, made by Julia Kalthoff.
I completely misread the title. I thought it said how to carve an axe with a spoon!
Easy Peasy…..😅haha
I start with a big spoon and end up with a delightful little salt spoon.
One day I’ll get it.
How about "how to carve an axe using a spoon " ?
I'll sharpen my spoon...
That looks like a hatchet 🪓 and not an ax lol 😂
A hatchet is a kind of axe.
