After the recent outburst about using AI art, I have learned from the error of my ways!
I took the job AWAY from AI and paid two (2) human artists to recreate this new and improved, hand-drawn cover art for this song. No technology beyond 1988 was used in the making of this art (my deepest condolences to those in the printing press industry, I had to use a home printer/scanner).

Nobody thinks you sold out. There are many problems with NFTs and that isn't one of em. Go ahead, get that bag, but NFTs are harmful to the environment, energy intensive, overpriced, and heavily tied to scams. There are hundreds of ways you could make a quick buck and nobody would have an issue with it, but you picked NFTs. You deserve to make money, this just ain't it. Tripling down in the email newsletter is just cringe.

Well, for one, the song is ironic.
I see where everyone is coming from with NFTs being bad, but you can't blame NFTs for the way energy companies generate power. Or for the prices that people assign to them. Or because scammers scam. NFTs are just digital merch as far as I'm concerned. Also, the quick bucks are going to charity.

I would be one of them. I've tried buying shirts from the official site but there's always an error adding to cart or checkout and it's been like it since 2019.

I’ve been listening to S3RL since 2008. I’m far from young. A lot of things change over these years but s3rls music has always stayed. I hope that someday, in what’s left of the years I have left, I can go see this dude live and feel and experience those better days that have since passed.

Sure if you have no semblance of nuance, there's a large spectrum of NFTs from reasonable to absolute scams and one can make fun of the more extreme end of the spectrum while still participating in it. For instance, it'd be like a UA-camr isn't allowed to complain about clickbait UA-cam videos because they themselves use UA-cam.

Sure I picked the most obvious extremes for comparison but the point was more just to show it's not hypocrisy unless you're really doing the identical sort of actions that you're criticizing.

Legit when? Every big NFT project known for the last 5 years has either been a scam or is discontinued.
And we haven't even talked about the environmental damage that they do to our Earth.
I'm so torn on this, because god NFTs are so dumb, BUT this song is absolutely hilarious too, so I can't be too mad, plus you eventually released it for free, which... yeah, that's what I would ask. Super fans can support, and everyone enjoys great music.
PS. Why are people so angry about this, Otaku Boy was completely AI driven and I don't think anyone was angry about that one at least at this level. The world has gotten dumber.

To quote another youtube personality (Yahtzee from ZP) :"when you sell something you can produce infinitely for zero (in this case almost zero) cost, thats not a service, thats the death of economics as a concept"....

I've been hooked on S3RL since I was 12, and his music has been like a soundtrack to my life ever since. Whether I’m having a good day or life’s just kicking me down, S3RL's beats have always been there to keep me company. the way he mixes nostalgia with pure adrenaline, that gets me every time. It’s crazy to think how his music has been with me through so much tough times.

It's been a good few years, I listened to your music practically religiously inhigh school, but things happened and life moved on. I recently had an auto generated youtube playlist on while washing dishes, and MTC of all things comes on. Long story short, thank you for the great memories.
It's crazy how good S3RL's music has remained. Most musicians fade over time, but two of my favorite S3RL songs, LoveBOMB and Doof Doof Untz Untz, are over 10 years apart. And I think this masterpiece could become one of those favorites too 💯🔥

The song is in good S3RL fashion un terms of parody, sarcasm, etc. And i'm not surprised. Its also to me a little lesson on cosumer culture, ad culture, and listenrs can avoid/boycot when the sample is dropped. I stay behind, watch it unfolds until the man drops an Insta story. Im glad the funds go to a charity and now the song itself is (mostly) FREE to listen.
