    You need to give some more details. I think you're a little off with your trip calculations. You should watch Out of Spec they have done some long distance racing, pitting the EV trucks against one another .
    You didn't mention what trim of the F150 Lightening you based your scinerio on. What is the distance you are travelling?
    I looked up the distance, 480 miles. Just about any mid spec EV dose that trip with one stop to charge. If you stay at a hotel with free level 2 charging, you are going to be shocked how much you save on gas.

      Easy fleet savings long term. Being able to power equipment on the go with out extra equipment is a space and cost savings too along the way. Leaves more room for other equipment. I burnt 160$ or moe a week being mobile on gas. A battery bank for the home in emergency is also a cool feature.now heres the cons. Dealers know they are in demand and have jacked prices up tremendously many initial price announcements. So my pros go out the window in conversation.

      So I have a few things regarding EV Trucks and some of what you said. First I will agree our charging infrastructure is not quite their compared to Gas. That's a given and its growing so in the near future this may be a less concerning point. As for driving time and charging time. You used a F150 Lightning which is not the best EV truck to use for a realistic comparison for the Silverado EV. The Silverado EV RST which is the current consumer grade Truck not the WT (Work Truck) Variant which is different in abilities has been noted going 460 Miles in a lot of cases. So if you take that into account for your video you would more then likely only have to stop once for an aprox rest time of 1 hour to 1.5 hours. To charge to 100% and get on your way. DC Fast Charging in most cases from 0% to 100% takes aprox that long. Mainly because of efficiency dropping at 80%. So I think your time added to trip is not accurate. But I will concede their are variables at play that may change this. As for why EV's should be widely adopted. Well 1 cost for electricity is greatly reduced compared to Gas or Diesel. So their is a great savings to have on that end. You also have the savings of reduced maintenance which is Oil changes and such. You still have tires and Brakes. You mentioned that batteries are expensive to replace and this is true. But the Silverado EV comes with a 100K 8 Year power train warranty and this covers the battery. So that is a great incentive. Also based on studies battery degradation is not as bad as first thought. Now all this being said EV's are not for everyone but I think education should be provided so people understand the true abilities these vehicles have and what they are suited for. Road tripping while not as convenient in some cases as ICE is true they do have more range then some people believe and they need to read up on the data behind that. I also would like to mention that you are only Discussing the WT version which is meant as a fleet Vehicle and does not offer the same distance options at prices for the consumer version. The info for the consumer version has yet to be released beyond the 100K RST First Edition. Which we do see dealer discounts on. The other consideration to also place on the vehicle life cycle is that 2024 models only became available mid year this year. They did not get a roll out in 2023 like most cars do and as the upcoming 2025 will. So sales may also be impacted by this shift in the standard car production and sale cycle.
