Oh dude, I don’t even want to add up all of the hours I’ve spent perusing all of the manufacturers websites as well as used pumps pages. It would quite literally be months/years of my existence here on planet earth.
We have a 40m Beton Star, and the past month running it has been amazing. The 5 section boom comes in real handy when pouring in side building and having to work around structures. The controls have been top notch and the build quality has been amazing.
It also has heated water tank for the winter. So the guys and the mixer drivers sure do like us. Not sure if another pump has that? Correct me if I’m wrong
Build quality on the Betonstar looks to be top notch. Really good people over there as well. Definitely a top consideration when shopping a new piece of equipment 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
That 47M Betontstar is in our SO CAL yard and no arguments yet. I've only taken her out once and only did 100 yds of walls in Downtown San Diego. I love the side steps on each side bulky but useful haha. Thanks for the videos brutha! Keep up the goid work 🤙🏾
I've got to say the schwing hopper for repairs is way awesome. You can get the valve out in half hr. However putz etc have easier to washout hopper. Cab over for sure. So schwing cab over for me.
I remember she had a buddy’s old 39X (m-rock hopper with axial bearing), and swapped out a kidney seal the morning of a pour. Amazingly easy to work on in comparison to an S-tube style hopper. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
We have 2 schwing 39's , both are roll and fold booms. We have a new pump ordered, should have it soon but I have no idea what it is. I'm usually the guy on the end of the hose. Regardless we all make it happen with what we got👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Yup, the staple brand of the concrete pumping industry. I personally do prefer the “finesse” of a Putzmeister rig, but build quality of the Schwing is second to none.
That auto-unfold feature is super handy. From the little bit that I do know of the Betonstar machines, I am really impressed with them. Build quality appears to be top notch. Let me know how you like them.
I would prolly go with the Putz. However, if I had an extra choice to refurb a truck, I would have our 38 refurbished and I would be more than happy to run it to retirement. Also, I do feel the Z-booms work excellent, always wonder the benefits of a roll and fold boom.
I’ve always said, a Z-boom can do 97% of what a roll and fold can, + 50% more!!! It’s a very rare occurrence where I run into a pour in which I wish had had a roll versus a Z. That being said, roll ‘N folds do make more sense in a high-rise/placing boom application (IMO).
Out of those pumps I would say you have to go with the z boom putz, but if you have an option for a versatile schwing, like you said they are tanks, and the 31 telescopic boom that I primarily run is so good at getting in tight spaces, and the reliability is top notch. And I've even thrown a straight 5 hose and cranked her to 11 😆...around 32-34 strokes per minute. Anyway yeah you seem bias 😆 🤣 😂 Pump on!!
Many years ago we had looked into a 41M Schwing (which I assume would have been very similar in price to the 39M). It was pretty much the same price as the comparable Putzmeister pumps (38Z/40Z) of the time period.
Schwing is a tough and probably the most reliable pump on the market . I understand the roll and fold isn't as diverse as the other 3 pumps but it will out last them.
I’ve heard a lot of guys say that. To me, a 47RZ Putz would seem superior, but I think I say that mostly because we do so much work in which the 5 section RZ seems to be a huge advantage.
Sent ver from muddy feet concrete pumper we look see , what love the concrete construction 🚧 channels, thanks 🎉 BigAl California praise Jesus Christ grace amen grace grace grace amen 🙏
Kinda late on this one. But 39 Putz all day. We have to mav z booms on all our booms. We pump a lot of system pours and tight low clearance jobs. And the 16 cell pump kit kicks the alliance 16 cells butt all day. Much smoother stronger and quieter. And all our pumps are conventional cabs. We put about 30,000 miles a year on the pumps. So we like a comfortable cab. I’m just not sure how much deck space the 39m has ??? 🤔
If we were located out west somewhere where we pump in the wide open most of the time I would get the 39 schwing for The reliability hands down. I heard only good things about the schwings
The Alliance would probably make the most sense for me out of the ones in the lot but the big boy might change my opinion if I could see it's outrigger spread and the fact I don't really know anything about them.
Agreed, that 41M is arguably the perfect sized boom for doing a mix of both residential as well as commercial work. I’m not too familiar with the Betonstar brand either, but I do know they utilize a closed-loop pump kit (which likely means it’ll be smooooooth). Looks as though the outrigger spread on that 47M (I guess I was wrong on the guessing size 😂) is 27 and change in the front, 28 ‘N change in the rear (very similar to a Putz/Schwing/Alliance in the same size classification).
39 putz, but the new version with ergonic 3 and dynamic outrigers. It can get into any site no matter the space while still being a really capable pump, and if something happends with it you can get parts the next day from Germany (im in Sweden)
Absolutely!!! We are just now beginning to see the ESC style outrigger systems here in North America. I believe the 28Z is the first to have it with the the 47M (and hopefully the 38-5 models to follow). This feature will be a game changer indeed.
How ironic is this! Boss man at Cobijar has commissioned a new conventional cab 36 4z putz, should be ready by April. Guess who he wants to operate it🤦🏼♂️ bitter sweet.......
@@Dex01-Z_WingZero honestly, YES!!!! I will say however that the outward visibility of the Mack MRU is far superior to that of the Peterbilt. Also, the Mack chassis does feel more rugged to me, but I can’t back this with anything really anecdotal. It’s the power windows, power mirrors, and Allison automatic which I love about this Pete. Give me a Mack with the Allison trans. in it however, and it would be a much tougher decision. Also, I do know the Pete 320 caught a bit of a bad rap for being bouncy on the front axle, this unit however was outfitted from Putzmeister with the optional “concrete pumper” front suspension (re-valved shock absorbers) and as such it’s really quite composed over the bumps.
@@canadianconcretepumper1979 im stickin with the mack then. Ryan's Pumping in Edmonton, he's got the tinted power windows in his mack, probably not the power mirror unfortunately
I admire how much of a pump nerd you are man, it’s nice to know I’m not alone.
Give me the 39 Schwing or Putz.

Schwing 39 is a proven beast over a long time, cant go past the rock! endless reliability.
This is true. The build quality is impressive, to say the least.

Thank you brother. Randy and Francois from Betonstar are awesome guys!
Ha that’s the new betonstar at our yard at Western in vista CA. Exact same one.
The putz 38 is super smooth. The ran the 39 schwing for 2 years and those rear outriggers make it so bouncy like you mentioned.
38-5 Putz is only far the smoothest pump I’ve ever ran. Man oh man did they get that boom just right!!!

Those 39’s are absolute workhorses of the industry!
I would use the schwing love those pumps
They eat everything you put i the hopper the back legs are a little bit shaky if it on full reatch

I whould have to pick the Green pump because I'm from Ireland and Green is our colour
I’m half Irish, so I 50% agree with you 😂
We getting two betonstar next month. Both are 40 meter. Aldo betonstar pumps unfold themselves
That auto-unfold feature is super handy. From the little bit that I do know of the Betonstar machines, I am really impressed with them. Build quality appears to be top notch. Let me know how you like them.
SCHWING ALL DAY!!!
I cannot ever argue this statement. Such a quality machine.

31 Telescopic Schwing had been on my wish-list for years. Unfortunately, my wish-list is a very, very long one. 😂😁😁
39 Putz all day. Can't beat the versatility of a Z boom. Can't beat the Putz quality. No Brainer imo
Can’t beat a Putz pump kit, they are just soooooo damn smoooooooth!!!! That being said, each of the brands most definitely has their strong points.
Have you ever priced a new schwing 39? $?
Many years ago we had looked into a 41M Schwing (which I assume would have been very similar in price to the 39M). It was pretty much the same price as the comparable Putzmeister pumps (38Z/40Z) of the time period.
Are we adding one more machine to the fleet🤔
I think the right thing to do would be just grab one of each 😂😂😂
Exactly
Schwing, vacuums up any trash mud u put in the hopper with eeezzz.

I completely agree. Schwing are built like tanks!!!
The 41
It really is the perfect pump size.
But the 46 schwing is probably my favorite machine

If I had to chose any 1 pump for the rest of my career, I’d probably go with a DY 5rz. Extremely similar to a Putz and very user friendly
I really like how DY has the simple, and easy to use proximity sensor bypass switch located in the side cabinet. Very operator friendly.

Deck space on the 39Z is actually pretty good. We keep 160’ of hose (20’ lengths) up on the driver side deck.
