    Drill an tap hole in the underside of the outer sleeve for a grease zerk. Back towards where it contacts the frame. Couple of pumps of grease every week. You need to get the grease back further than the edge. The sharp edge cleans the grease off.

      That outrigger design is just ignorant! Totally unacceptable for a machine like a concrete pump!

    One thing I’ve realized the past 4 years pumping, (and you tend to feature a lot) is that pump companies in the area you live are super friendly towards one another. Always willing to lend a hand if needed or a call for tips/ advice. Lots of these guys are friends. I love how it’s not like other jobs where everyone is viewed as a threat. Yes, competition is needed. We know we can’t do it all. But at the end of the day it’s really a brotherhood.

      Especially these days when most all of us pump companies are fighting the same battle, which is finding people to run the equipment. It’s so true though, I’ve literally been on my drive home and detoured to help a fellow pumper in distress (and have had the same reciprocated to me). It’s easy to get along in this industry as I think we can most all relate in terms of dealing with the same challenges on the day to day.
      Great comment! 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

    FINALLY! a proper good pump on the channel ;) Very nice pump, pity it doesnt have the chamber valve on it, i know some guys arent big on them but i swear by ours, reason enough for me to stick with Schwing. Either one of these or a 24 will be next in line for us, once we get the couple we're paying off the books! 31xt would be the dream, but theyre getting a bit $$$ for what we do, but you never know! out Schwing 38-5 roll fold baby is an absolute weapon, definitely a great size for all round work.
    If that pump has a roller pump for the water hose it can very definitely do better, either the releif valve has been turned down or it needs a roller kit put through it, not expensive or difficult to do, they can hammer out the water.

      I figured the water pressure seemed quite low. I’m wondering if perhaps the previous owner may have dialled it down as such to not drain the small-ish holding tank any quicker than necessary? 🤔🤔🤔

    Have you ever tried a ball valve reduced to an male air line coupler on the water hose. It really increases the pressure. I think it does a better job than a normal trigger. I also just switch to banjo “ag”style quick couplers on the hose to truck connection for an extremely easy/leak free connection for us that have to keep our hoses warm in the winter.

    • @canadianconcretepumper1979
      @canadianconcretepumper1979  Рік тому +1

      This is fantastic advice! On our Putz rigs we typically don’t have any issues with water pressure. It would however be nice to have a ball valve as such that I could dial the volume/pressure down for when mixing my bentonite. Currently I just kink the hose over partially to restrict the flow, but it definitely doesn’t do the hose and favours in terms of longevity.

    For the front outrigger loud noise issue, when the outrigger is out and has a load on it, just get a can of white lithium spray grease with the long nozzle and spray in the gap where it travels in and out and between where the outrigger meets the chassis. Usually good for a month of work then just repeat.

    Fun lookin machine. I think its important to keep in mind when you go to buy and select a pump for the work in the area you consider whom you're working with too. The small hopper may be nice for washup but id imagine drivers having neglectful tendencies will often get you pumping air down the line. Seasoned workers usually wont have a problem though. Thats from hopper to where the concrete is dropping.

    • @canadianconcretepumper1979
      @canadianconcretepumper1979  Рік тому

      It’s a interesting one. I’m not certain so much if it’s that the hopper is actually that much smaller, or just that the rock-valve sits in a tight little pocket at the bottom of the hopper and is perhaps more efficient in terms of pumping the machine empty.

    I love swings the 28 meter is the same as the 31 HT my favorite pump with a telescopic. the hoppers are tiny you don't get build up in them throughout the day the walls are steeper so the concrete doesn't stick to it. no shoving mud underneath the s valve like you do on your pump.
    the bad news is logistically you run putzmeister they don't share the same parts so you will have to buy extra parts what don't go on the rest of your trucks.

    Nice pump except the pull out outriggers. Looks like the hydraulic lines between a and b is stuck on a clamp. Not mutch concrete left in the tub. On the new putz 42 we have it's envirement friendly hydralic oil (Cost some grands $ for a barrel)and you can connect it to 3 phase power on constrction sites. Keep up the good work

    its bettter to put ball+water+ball closer in sequence. they move as a "kit" and the 1st ball stops the water from going to fast and makes the pipes cleaner.
    i always put in the ball, stop the pump, then water+ball and sent them as a packet.

    In my opinion, if a concrete pump is only German Putzmeister, Schwing and Liebherr. I didn't work with Schwing but Putz is a class by itself and I was lucky to work with Libherr 42 XXT for a year and a half and it's also a great piece of equipment. Now, unfortunately for me, I work with a 3-year-old pump of Italian production and it is a torment.

      @@canadianconcretepumper1979 What's the problem
      the pumps are from Germany and are coming to America, why can't you order another truck with them? There's also Scania and Volvo and others. By the way, Liebherr's concrete pumps have not been on the market for that long. They were taken over a good 10 years ago (2012) by a small family business, Waitzinger, which only started in 1991.
      If a concrete pump is ordered from Liebherr with a Mack truck, the truck has to come to Germany and return complete after assembly.
      Unfortunately, Schwing and Putzmeister were each sold to China, and I don't know if that's really such a good idea. 😉
