I was diagnosed with hashimotos 25 years ago and your the first doctor who has ever bothered to tell me this , thank you I certainly will give this a try ..all I’ve ever been told was up your meds , lower your meds etc most doctors don’t give a 💩
Been following you for about a year now Dr Childs. The adrenal adaptagens are a game changer for me. Keto diet in addition. Weight is still not happening though...
Can you do a video on "How should a day of Hypo Thyroid Patient should look like in regards to food and medicine intake?" I mean the order in which they should take food and medicines right from the morning to night... Also how should they club all this in with the other (high sugar) diabetes or high bp medications?
4 months ago my thyroid was 16 H,,,,, i took matter in my own hand along taking my reg. Thyroid medicine...i went on very strict detox ...yeas the tea was awful .. but for 14 day it was worth it just 2 week ago i went for my blood work and it was 2.75 (.4 - 4.75)
When my D levels went from 68 to 50, my TPO went from 28 to 41. Now, 5,000 a day was half the dose I was taking when it decreased as opposed to 20,000 a day with 100 mcg of K2mk7 when my vitamin D hit 100. My TSH went from 3.5 to 5 after replacing rhodiola with ashwagandha. I've been taking MACA for a month and I'll come back for feedback
The problem is it's *extremely* difficult to tell what's going on outside of a controlled clinical setting. There are so many other factors that happen in year or even a month's time. Diet, stress, exercise, other drugs/supplements, environmental factors, etc. How can we actually know for sure that a change of supplement was the causal factor in affecting our TSH levels? It's a tough one, really.
@@lobotomizedamericans When you the same things and take the same supplements but suddenly you start taking a new one and you do a blood test and it shows something awry, it could well be that. I won't be able to find out as I've made changes to my diet to lower my TPO and stopped taking ashwagandha. There are studies that say it could be a problem to your thyroid.
@@rodrigsantsil Yeah I know what you're saying. Though I would suggest to be careful with long-term Ashwagandha use, because it has been reported to also cause "loss of emotions", and *may* worsen depression symptoms (due to its calming effects).
@@lobotomizedamericans Thanks for the tip! I stopped taking it because of the increase in my TSH. I don't know what it's like now. I'll be having another blood test in a few weeks from now. I've also stopped taking lugol after 8 years. Now that my ferritin is 122 as opposed to 41, I'm hoping to see improvement iny T3 and T4. I also suspect this tooth implant I got in 2021 might've caused problems to TSH (they didn't use zirconium). I'll increase my MACA daily dosage intake, if my TSH is still as high. Let's wait and see. Thanks for the info, doctor. God bless you and have a great day.
@@rodrigsantsil No problem you as well. And remember the best (and right) time to test thyroid related things (eg. TSH, FT3/FT4, etc.) is always in the mornings shortly after you wake up (before eating anything of course). This is because your TSH levels fluctuate through the day due to all kinds of factors. For example my TSH is completely normal in the afternoon/evening, but in the mornings its quite elevated (between 8 and 15). Some people test it all weird times of the day and never realize they have an issue because it's in the normal range.
High hopes Alphafold 3 is going to reveal what exactly triggers the autoimune response and with that, help researchers come up with a treatment for once and for all, hang in there everyone ❤

By mapping interactions between proteins and other molecules, AlphaFold 3 can help identify potential drug targets and design molecules that effectively bind to these targets, which is a critical step in developing new therapies for diseases like thyroid cancer and hyperthyroidism"

Now, based on your information in this viseo, I'm concerned that using these sun screens will negatively impact my hypothyroidism. What alternatives are there?

I took a selenium supplement and broke out in a ras on my face. Thank God is was only 100 mg, which I split, so I actually took 50 mg. It touted as grain, corn, etc... free.

Zinc depletes copper so make sure your zinc supplement contains copper also.
I started taking Zinc 2 months ago. Wow, my eyes feel so much better as a hashis patient w dry eyes.
dosage please
Magnesium is also very important for thyroid patients
I wish I had found you years ago! Thank you so much 💛

Dr. Weston, is L.Reuteri yogurt safe for Hashimoto’s?
This is too complicated for the average person to figure out. Doctors need to come up with these particular things in one supplement to take....
D3 for the whole body
ZMA (Minerals) to support
Probiotic to reduce burden on the body and especially brain
Vitamin K2 but the MK7 kind not the other junk.
K2-MK7 redirects the calcium to the bones where it should be.
Other K2 done do that.

THEN THE SUPLAMENTS WONT. YOU CAN'T BE EATING OR COOKING WITH GREASE OR YOUR MEDICATION WON'T WORK.
