I appreciate any support as these videos take a significant amount of my free time to create, and I currently do not earn any ad revenue. Rock on! :)
I know Angus is still alive, so hopefully people will read this and stop asking me why I said "was" when referring to him LOL. I was referring to the impact he had on people back in those days... i.e., "he was really good at..." I hope that makes sense! :)

Hi everyone - I made a new and improved version of this lesson: ua-cam.com/video/1M6cMlDdNNY/v-deo.html
Improved off of this one? Jesus... I thought this was exceptional - especially your tone match. Wow.
When Angus played you knew right a way who it was and you remember all his great solos - what more can you ask as a rock guitarists
Hey! Im 13 and have been playing for 2 and a half years. Best teaching video I have ever seen. Will be learning more off you. Thanks man :)
Thanks John! Rock on bro!
Best instructional video for it on the internet, thank you very much
Great playing, awesome feel, very detailed explanation up to the nuances - certainly the best Back in Black solo lesson out here. Thanks for this.
emulation of Angus's phrasing and tone here is acute. absolute fantastic lesson. thank you!
Great lesson to start the New Year! A classic song and an important lesson for anyone interested in that bluesy rock style that Angus played so well. Well done, Dave. I'm learning a few things I must have missed when I originally tackled this tune way back when.
Hey man, after years of watching videos on UA-cam I stumbled across your lessons. 1st I'd like to say wow! Your lessons are very well thought out and taught with everyone from a beginner to a veteran player. Your tones emulating the original tracks are spot on. I've been playing for more than 20 years and your videos have not only inspired me to get better but also have taught me things I've missed in a lot of songs. Rock on dude
love the great detail of this lesson.
The best part of this lesson is the music theory part which other lesson on UA-cam doesn't cover. Cheers mate!
Very well done! Nice breakdown of the solo, including handy time hack in the notes. Thanks!
most informative tutorial I've ever seen. really awesome to discuss a bit of theory for context
at the beginning.
you are tight and your vibrato is on point, great lesson
I like the way you teach the style of Angus Young along with the tabs.
Makes a Huge difference. Thumb way up.
Great lesson, very thorough, with the added nuances to give it a touch of realism, thanks
Dude, this is one of the BEST learning videos ever! Thanks
One of the most useful lesson I ever got. Thanks for the upload my friend.
This has to be the most accurate video I've found. I tried learning from a different lesson and it didn't sound nearly as close to this one when playing along with the track. Great job, appreciate you taking the time to do this
As always.....Great stuff here. Good work.
Great job! Thanks for this!
Best style of demo ! Thank you!!
outstanding lesson, man. thank you
Made me smile. I like your lessons and format. In 1986 I had the privilege to stand on stage with ac/dc and hang out with then and Doken for the evening. Blow up your video world tour NEC Birmingham
Very cool! Speaking of Dokken, I remember reading an interview with George Lynch back in the 80s (must have been right after that tour), and he was commenting that he felt like when his band was on stage they sounded like they were in mono, but when AC/DC hit the stage it was in stereo LOL. I'm paraphrasing, but you know what I mean.
Excellent Job My Man! Great Tune To Start The Year! Many Thanks and
Happy New Year!
Man, you’re an incredible player. Love your videos!
best lessons EVER thx!
best lessons on the web PDX !
Great Vid PDX..playing along.
Good job man! It´s perfect!
Impeccable. So appreciate too the modest use of distortion. So many get that wrong
This is the greatest solo lesson I've ever found on youtube! Good Job!
Great lesson! I learned a lot more than I thought I knew already! And it was with very simple techniques!
Thanks for another awsome lesson Dave, I really enjoyed it
OMG I love the fact that you are really passionate about this song! I have to learn the solo as our band is playing this! I absolutely thank you so much for helping me to be an amazing guitar player!
I just want to say Thanks this helped me out a lot! you rock!
the clearest and most accurate lesson of this solo on youtube
Hi Giacomo, I have a newer version of this lesson that is even better :) ua-cam.com/video/1M6cMlDdNNY/v-deo.html
PDXguitarfreak is the best online guitar teacher ever PERIOD!

Excellent vids fellah
dude you're a really skilled guitarist. And a good teacher.
fabulous tone
Really enjoyed that lesson. Thank you very much for that. I really like your style and the way you are presenting the lesson. I am btw also using a POD HD 500 and have downloaded a couple of your patches. They are great too !
man i saw other video's of you,,,you're great,ur play is fantastic,,,,keep on goin'man
Thanks man, no one else was teaching the song, and you did pretty good! Keep it up
Wow! Nice playing!
Well I agree that the best solos are the ones that you don't "plan" and they just come out naturally. Those are often the hardest to recreate :)
Hey, I realize it takes a lot of time and effort and gear to do this and I just want to say I appreciate it! GOOD JOB, DUDE!
Very good! Thank you!!!!
that was probably the best guitar lesson i've seen :)
dude thank you very much !! this is as true to the original as it gets !! nice lesson ~~

Thanks man, I appreciate the comment. My grandfather was sent as an orphan from England to Australia in the 20s. He served in the Australian Army during WWII, before immigrating to the US in the 50s (when my mother was a teen). I hope to visit your beautiful country some day :)
10 oclock ROCK HISTORY
11 oclock ROCK APPRECIATION AND THEORY
Pendaz11 Oh yeah school of rock...great movie
Great comment
I love that movie
Great video man. Subscribed!
Thx man more detailed lesson ,i was having problems with those speed part but kinda sliding upstroke might do the trick
Damn you're good ! Been checking out guitar vids for years on UA-cam and this is t first x ive seen you. Why only 44k subs ? Damn you're good !
good job man!
You're my hero!!!
Thanks Francisco! :)
La mejor interpretación, la mejor explicación. Crac 🤟
No problem - it's hard to keep up with the general comments, but I'll always try to answer questions. If I can inspire people to play guitar, then my mission is complete :)
nice headgear and great lesson thanks man!
Great Job - Well done. Thanks for taking the time to share. Now if only I could get my bended vibratos to sound as good as yours!
Oh man this is great! Thanks to you, I nailed the solo within 20 mins :D
Dude. Just want to say thanks for taking the time out to make this tutorial videos.
I have been trying to learn Girl Gone Bad solo by VH and have been struggling with
a few parts. Hope you would consider breaking that one down for us.
This is the best back in black solo lesson there is. I wish I would have found it sooner. I dig the hair too!!!
This is fantastic. I see a lot of practicing in my future. My only criticism is of referring to Angus is the past tense. He's still alive!
David Conrad I know bro, I hear that comment a lot. What I meant was the impact Angus had "back in the day" when I was being influenced and inspired by him (i.e., the 80s)
+PDXguitarfreak the reason he uses c sharp is because of the a major chord he uses in the first riff (just try it with major and minor instead of powerchords) A major=C sharp minor= A major seven
Lil'bassist254 yes, I agree
I really like your teaching approach , very thought out and concise , I don't think you left out anything , extremely detailed and accurate , I never attempted to play this song ( I love the song ) because I am an improvisational player , but after seeing your video , I want to learn to play the song , and I always thought the solo was easy , man was I wrong about that ! ( I have seen the solo performed many times by many guitarists , but I think they played simplified versions ) keep up the lessons , this one Is the best , wish I had you as a teacher a long time ago !
thanks mate! I appreciate it. It's great that even with 25,764 views you are still willing to help us out :)
fantastic lesson,.. thanks for sharing,.. :-)
Ive been playing for 30 years now. Your a very good player. Enjoyed the video
Thank you Sam! :)
Thanks for this and the Stairway solo lessons. Both great lessons! Thanks for sharing the knowledge. To me there's nothing quite like blues rock. Great job.
Angus = Wicked Vibrato!!!🤘
This is right in your pocket Dave. I will be studying this video, thanks for the inspiration and awesome lesson. Happy New Year. ~Cheers~ B.Champagne
good stuff
HOLY SHIT AT THE START OF THE VIDEO YOU FUCKING NAILED THE SOLO
Great video, i like AC/DC very much
Thank you
hey brother tks bcoz of u i can now rock this solo tks
if I took a shot for every time i watched ur vidz.. thanks PDX ..Cheers n Fro
объяснил все как надо спасибо)
Thanks Doug, for the nice words, and I like your idea - It would probably make following a bit quicker. I will try to remember that for my next one! :)
You are an amazing player! OMG!
Yes I agree... my favorite players (ranging from Angus to Van Halen) rarely play it the same exact way every time. They "feel" their solos and often you never hear it exactly the same :)
Alright so next christmas me and some friends will play this for a school project and I'm the only guitarist. Challenge. Accepted.
Awesome
Great video! Thanks for lesson... BRA.
Well made and informative video. Good stuff. ANgus is one of hose artists that while like you say in theory,is relatively simple,to play it and get the feeling and emphasis on the notes like he does is difficult and puts angus in a level of almost impossible to emulate
Awesome lesson! Think you could do a lesson on metal health solo when ya get around to it?
good job
Happy New Year, neighbour to the south! \m/
good job, thnx
Just came across this and of course it's great and I thank you, I have a "live' version in tab and it is different to what you are showing. Have you noticed or heard this before I wonder?
wow that was awesome now im going to beel "cool" by my friends no joke great job what u did there
Cooool!!!
Extremely helpful and informative! Now all I have to do is learn it super slow until I can play it without it sounding like a sloppy mess.
