Glad I found this channel, Ngl i was laughing too while watching this game. Im still hopeful in this team just like last year. But I hate when i have to turn the game off, let’s go win the next two pls.
Absolutely not, this wasn't bulletin board material results, this was him tipping pitches... Literally nobody got out... His only strikeouts are because his stuff is that good... But there's no way he gets lit up like that without tipping, period. Dude was literally 2nd/3rd in fWAR amonst all pitchers in baseball... That's not a dude that gets shelled like that... We aren't talking 7 runs on a few errors, a couple walks, and some unlucky hits... He got shelled... When they batted around like he was a AAAA pitcher, Servais should've recognized that something was off and should've pulled him for a long reliever...
Detroit was definitely motivated. Ouch. Good job for pointing that out. Mitch should have saved that comment until after they faced them again. It was literally 4 days before their next match-up.
Turner has primarily played DH in recent years. I don't blame Turner. The front office needs to put players in the best position to succeed. They acquired a DH not a first baseman and we are seeing the consequences. This is what happens when a front office gets desperate. They never should have let Carlos Santana go in free agency IMO.
I'm definitely not losing hope, I'm a Mariners fan hope is all I have ever had every year since I was a kid in the 90s. Sometimes teams just have your number and it just so happens to be Detroit for us this year. I refuse to believe that we just straight up suck after how well we just played against the Mets and they are better than Detroit. We have a good team that should be able to take us in to the playoffs just gotta get our shyt together!
Has this happened enough with Kirby, to assume he gets tilted now? It seems like he has a penchant to let games go from bad to very bad really fast via emotion. Double edged sword I suppose
They are a better team....They got smacked because How the fielding was not top notch, not to mention how lucky some of their hits were. On top of that the Tigers know Kirby was going to throw it in the box so they just swinging for the best. I would say you are right about it fueling them, if the Tigers didn't already take 2 of 3 against the M's last week.
Ms are a better team. It's one game of the series without cal and polo playing julio at 80% against the Cy Young front runner. We will see how the rest of the series goes
@gamefacesports6704 yeah no your right Kirby left a lot of pitches right in middle of plate he just didn't have it. Also it felt like every "unlucky" play that could happen did happen. What I NEED is Houston to start losing and cool off with this winning streak
Seattle is not great this year. They have been lucky to be where they are. When 75% of your players are hitting under .240 then you aren't a great team. Management is horrible and never do what they say they are going to do. I have been a Mariner fan my whole life and this team is just embarassing.
@Later_Doober didn't say they were great just that they were better then detroit. Been a fan since 93 when I was 7 and went to my first game I have seen the incompetence throughout the years. This deadline was best one they've had since signing Castillo. Will always have faith until mathematically eliminated. That's a true fan.
Mitch was not wrong. The Mariners are a better team than Detroit but that also means you have to play better and not let too much go. The Mariners do not have much problems beating great teams like the Mets or Phillies but when we play teams like Detroit we often struggle. I still have hope that the Mariners will make the playoffs. But as for what happens in the playoffs. Your guess is as good as mine.
The issue with the Kirby/Turner miscommunication is Kirby should've called it and said "covering" not because it's common practice, but because he should've let Turner know he was behind him, but he was too busy sulking about getting hit hard... I really want them to move Kirby for a stud batter in the offseason...
@@nukeZ3r0 Dude is gone in three years when he gets the chance... I'm not talking about giving him away through DFA, it's getting fair value for a guy who won't sign an extension. Even if it was his play, he said nothing, check his body language, he said NOTHING to Turner, he just stood there. I'm not saying it was Turner's play... A ball hit to CF is their ball all day long, but they still call it... IF he wasn't pouting like baby, he would've yelled at Turner to move. Instead he just sat there feeling sorry for himself because he cares more about his stats than he does the team. He should've stayed focused and the fact he couldn't dig deeper to shut off the runs against a sh*tty Tigers team, proves that his stuff plays up off command, but it's not elite, just good. If you don't know what I'm talking about, then I guess you would want to keep him... We don't need Kirby, we need offense... If we can trade Kirby, we have a good enough farm system to plug that whole with a decent arm internally or through trade, especially in a pitching park. The Mets series even shows how much of a luxury it is having Kirby. We also have Woo, which gives us four aces without Kirby next year...
@@DrWestlakeI agree the mariners are way too off-balance great pitching shit offense with this staff to not have a win streak more than 4 games is pathetic gotta get serious about offense even if that means sacrificing a pitcher that doesn't want to be here anyway fa4 ad I can tell
@@stevenlindberg8347 Woo can be a little childish from what I saw in some of the videos, but he has turned a corner recently and stopped screwing around so much in the dugout. However, Kirby doesn't play around too much he's just very selfish and that's the kind of immaturity that takes much longer to fix. You're right, as we both said, near as we can all tell watching, he wants to be back east... Raleigh keeps saying he wants to be here by the way he talks about the city, how he enjoys exploring new parts on his days off and finding hidden new restaurants and stores to visit... I also see Gilbert drifting away from Kirby towards Miller... Cal, George, and Logan used to be roommates when they first came up, but when Logan called his parents to say he was an All-Star, they said I bet Bryce was excited for you. My guess, if we extend Miller and Raleigh, I think Gilbert will be glad to play with what seems to be his best friend on the team, and the catcher who has been behind the plate almost every start since he became a professional. The only team I think Raleigh would want to sign with if not Seattle would be Boston, the team he cheered for as a kid. But he's built a legacy here that he may want to protect, and could look to play for only one team over his career. I think Logan has also talked about at times.
almost at 2k bro!

Do you think the Detroit Tigers used Mitch Hanigers comments as motivation? After seeing this game.. I say yes

When we see both Mitches in the lineup, we expect bad things to happen.

@@GvnjaTV but they aren't a better team. Detroit has beat them 3 games to 1 so far.
Maybe we should rehire Carlos Gonzalez again but this time actually let him play in a Mariners uniform.
Go Hawks
I agree, but Don’t give up on the mariners yet!
I don’t think it’s trash talk he was just stating a fact.

It is really weird to see them play so well against some of the best teams, then watch them crap the bed against mediocre to bad teams
I did hear people saying Justin Turner is terrible at 1B when he got traded 😬

No, the issue is Turner going back to first. That's the pitchers play to cover, 100/100 times. No way in hell they should trade Kirby.
