What Achara said makes sense cause I definitely will scroll on my phone a lot for movies I'm not super invested in. With this going straight to streaming, my expectations weren't high in the least and i didnt even know they were remaking this until a few days before its release. I got a good laugh out of Moe and McGregor. It was just fun, and with only seeing some of the original, I wasn't comparing it at all and could simply sit back & enjoy what I was being given.

It felt like two different people were editing the movie, one moment it wants to be deep in a meh kind of superficial way, another it wants to be a fun popcorn flick! I have no problem with either but the transitions were too abrupt. The main villain and his motivation was too juvenile. Conor Mcgregor was the best part of the movie. Wish they would've kept it full action throughout, between him and Jake. Would've made the movie so much better, it wasn't bad but could've been so much better if they just made the whole thing Dalton vs Knox throughout. Even with the same plot, the romance was also very unnecessarily executed. I didn't dislike it a lot, but the film felt like it was edited poorly
Watching this with the shape Jake is in, the character's brutality when he snaps and the stabby ending to Knox. I couldn't help but think of him as Wolverine.
I LOVE both roadhouses. I loved the dynamics between dalton, the dr and his best friend. This one I enjoyed the lone wolf on the road to redemption aspect. Also the fight choreography for the 2nd one was phenomenal. Fight scenes are always better with fit, capable and fighters. Lol

She didn't say that's how all movies nowadays are, just that the vast majority of movies like this, especially those that are direct to streaming, are written with that in mind. That's the way TV used to be written a long time ago - it was assumed that people would be watching in a distracted state (eating dinner, kids watching with you, and constantly asking questions, running around, needing to go to the bathroom, you're tired from work, etc.), and this was before the days of VCR, DVD, streaming, so you could only watch an episode, maybe twice, unless it went into syndication, so they were written so that there was no way you would miss anything critical.

I was learning extra today about AI and its ability to quickly manufacture scenes from creativity that look absolutely real now. I was wondering how we would know if an AI program won a Golden globe one day because they are incredible right now as far as what they can do. I freaked out on learning about Devin or Devon, can't remember which but I'm just a human. 😊 There's a good interview by Jake and McGregor about creating this movie and how it was done and why it was done this way. It's about 4 or 5 days old I think, but it has lots of views. I just thoroughly enjoyed it after watching your reaction to this remake. 😊

The original raod house had a 80s charm to it that you just can't replicate because when you do it just dosnt work plus this one was so waterd down this one had no nudity or sex scene and the relationship with the doctor went nowhere.

I don’t understand the hate this movie is getting at all! Lol It’s so much fun and Conor’s character is a blast! Idk what the people giving it bad reviews were expecting…

The original raod house had a 80s charm to it that you just can't replicate because when you do it just dosnt work plus this one was so waterd down this one had no nudity or sex scene and the relationship with the doctor went nowhere.

Nudity and sex doesn't equate to a good movie at all. In fact, most of the times it is completely unnecessary.

I don't know why they added the relationship with that girl in the first place. for this type of movie its pointless. it's just a fun obnoxious movie with a lot of fights and action. trying to find a drama or a deep meaning here is like ordering an ice cream and wondering why it doesn't taste like ramen

This was better than I thought it would be but not nearly as good as the original. Never did I think Dalton or Collin were in any danger of dying. And they miss the drama of what happens to Sam ellliors wade Garrett in the original.
