Great movie and so underrated it's a crime. The cast is phenomenal and Astrid Bergès-Frisbey is an absolute talent and beauty!
Now that I've watched the entire movie. It's shit. Who the fuck makes this shit? I kept wondering when Sherlock Holmes was going to make an appearance - that's the vibe I kept getting from the music. The pyrotechnics..umm, since when did medieval time period have gunpowder?? Swap out Merlin for a woman mage? Another unnecessary twist in another shit movie. Are you guys so sad that you can't see that Hollywood has run out of ideas and is regurgitating pablum? They are so bad that they aren't even trying to make a unique movie, they are mixing elements from other movies to try to make you think it's new. (Beastmaster + Sherlock Holmes + Vikings) Did I leave something out?

No it isn't. I saw the movie and it was garbage, like a lot of adaptations of the Artus Saga. All that I remember was the amount of jumpcuts wich where used at the development of Arthur as character and his journey to the darklands. That killed almost everything that could have been good about the movie.

@@mencheperra3916 That killed every expectation you had placed on it based upon your own idea of what an adaptation is like. It didn't kill it as a movie putting a great spin on a classic material. The problem is your preference, which can be different. That's totally OK. But you call it garbage because on top of all that, you also expect any and all content to entertain you, if not it's garbage. I'm sorry but movies don't have an obligation to cater to everyone. Or at least they shouldn't....but people like you exist.
One of the greatest things about the Arthurian tales is even how many different versions of it exist, ranging from the fantastical to the more grounded. They also vary as to what portions of the legend get fleshed out. It's kind of ironic to pan this movie for choosing focus on certain elements of the legend in light of that.

Guy Ritchie wanted to make it a 6 movie series too...I would have loved that but critics really ruined this masterpiece :(

The movie was released on the era where superhero movies were dominant and the most preferred. That's why it failed on marketing

This movie is well worth the money to see it in 3D at the theaters. I am going again tomorrow with more family and friends. I love all sorts of genera. I think this one brings in elements of many, in an action packed Epic fantasy film. It is a must see.
Agreed, I was a little put off by the reviews/critics and whatnot, but I went ahead and saw it anyway. The movie is pretty damn amazing and well worth the money, I would go and watch it a second and third time without a problem.
This looks like great fun but it doesn't really look like history. There may well have been an actual "King Arthur" but if there ever was he wasn't a comic book super-hero. The painful reality for viewers of this movie is that "Arthur" wasn't actually a contemporary of Vortigern!

I have a linage for him. Arthur son of Ygerne, daughter of Amlaud the third wife of Scotnoe (426-462CE). Scotnoe is proving a bit complicated as some charts show her as Vortigern's daughter whilst others as his mother. Some show as his daughter but say it is an error as really she was his mother. As of the moment I can not figure it or improve on it.

I saw this movie last night and it was awesome! With a touch of a "Knight's Tail" and a bit of Star War's flare, along with a sprinkling of Transformer's big epic fight scenes, it was a very enjoyable movie. I give it a 2 fist pumps up and a viking yell!

I watched this movie by pure accident whilst on Transatlantic flight. Was not a great fan of kind Arthur and the story until I saw this flim. I have seen it at least ten times since. Every time I see it I find something new artistically. Very well directed and acted by all.
This story like kazakhs story king Abilai. His nickname was Sabalak. He connected three zhuz and battled with enemies. It's Great Republic till now which called Kazakhstan.
I watched this movie in the cinema twice, it was well brilliant and I think the soundtracks of the movie is dope!

Just saw this and eventho the extent of magical effects used are a bit untrue to the legend itself - it was incredibly well made and just an overall good movie. Definitely worth going to the movies for.

What had me hooked was the soundtrack straight away and the scene of the elephants trunk slaying tiny men and horses !
There is this one scene, at this scene where we are looking behind Eric Bana and we see the elephants coming along the bridge ,
great directing right there and then, I knew it was going to a be good flick !
Then the soundtrack for the young Arfa right up to his now age , priceless !
It was getting so much better but the killer scene is in the courtyard when arfa says f**k it after seeing the Mahge captive
and goes absolutely nuts ! Then when the dust settles , bodies are all over the place Arfa is breathing heavily why their all stunned
at what they just witness plus the power of the sword ,Afra says calmly ''c'mon fellas let's go'' ! Their still in shock !!!!
I have told my mates to watch it and they all come back and say, mate loved it !
