Hey guys… Great video and yes Rettroband are going to be installed and a secondary TPS for both Coach and toad are already purchased … going to be investigating the Proteng system thanks….safe travels….
Great Kirk! They all give us great peace of mind. If you haven't already seen it, Angie at NIRVC goes into a lot more depth on the Proteng system in her video: ua-cam.com/video/YyD10Erobpg/v-deo.html
What a really excellent and timely video. I just completed a 1000 mile round trip adventure and could have really used these safety products. First up, the Tire Minder system!!! Thank you so much for this video, and many, many thanks for your friendship and kind hospitality this past weekend! See "y'all" on the road!
Great Video. Our Tire Pressure Monitoring System saved us last year when we were heading to JBRV Park. One of the inside tires went flat and we couldn't see it but the system immediately told us the tire lost all air. We were able to get it fixed before any damage happened. The monitoring systems do work!
We plan to get the retro bands on our Gas Class A when they come in. We really like the Proteng as well, would love to do both. Good to know they come to you. Great video.
Both the Rettrobands and the Proteng give us huge peace of mind, Tom and Missy. Well worth the investment, in our opinion. We should clarify, they "come to you" at rallies that their team is attending. Examples might be the big FMCA international rallies, AIM rallies ( www.aimclub.org ) or some manufacturer rallies. Our Proteng was installed at a Newmar Hoots rally. We went to an NIRVC ( www.nirvc.com/ ) dealership to have the Rettrobands installed.
We've used TireMinder for several years now, initially on our tow vehicles/campers and now our Class C. Won't travel without it. Occasionally we've had alerts, which fortunately, after stopping and checking, turned out to be nothing other than needing a battery changed. We travel with plenty of batteries always, for that reason. Thanks for the video. Safe travels!!
Good to hear Karen. We agree 100%. We would much rather have a false alert due to a loose sensor or low battery than not know something was going on with the tires. Safe travels!
I’ll look into retroband. We do have the EzeeTire TPMS and also the Proteng System. For additional safety we have the SafeTPlus system on our front suspension. All three were installed because like you guys I believe safety is crucial when operating a motorhome. Great video!
We had Tire Minder and had nothing but trouble , constant false Alarm. A friend of our just last week had a tire failure and his tire minder never alerted him of low pressure. We use the TST system now and never had an issue .
Good day guys. Always happy to hear from you and I’ll never thank you enough for sharing. I have a question, if I may, would you recommend installing RetroBand on all tires, not just for the front tires? Thank you ahead of time for taking time to answer my question. I wish you a wonderful day!
Hi Earl! Here's our Wingin' It! episode where we talk about our new Jeep: ua-cam.com/video/EsczJ_ENLnM/v-deo.html . To make it towable, we added a Blue Ox baseplate and wiring harness, and an M&G brake system. Here's a link to our first M&G install on the old Wrangler: ua-cam.com/video/BkTy6XPT2S8/v-deo.html
Hi Grover! We get emails from the organizations that we are members of regarding their rallies. A couple of the ones mentioned in this video are FMCA ( join.fmca.com/rvtexas10/ ) and AIM Club ( www.aimclub.org/ ) . Many RV manufacturers also have owner's clubs that host rallies.

Mark at Our Journey in Myles put some on about a year ago. He swears by them.👍

Thank you for the feedback. We are thinking of going to the AIM rally in October down in South Carolina, maybe they’ll have the Proteng there.
We bet they will. Have fun!
retro bands are a great idea we saw them help some one on the road ans wow
Absolutely Al!

Great video! I learned a lot and am glad y’all made the effort to put this video out for us. Thanks!
Thanks Matthew! Glad you enjoyed it.

Awesome John!
Great video you know you should definitely add some Chrome to that engine bay it would look pretty awesome👍👍
That would be cool Mike! 😁
We had Tire Minder and had nothing but trouble , constant false Alarm.
A friend of our just last week had a tire failure and his tire minder never alerted him of low pressure.
We use the TST system now and never had an issue .
Sorry to hear that. Glad you found a system that works for you.
We also had Tire Minder and eventually switched over to TST. I hope you guys have better luck! Cheers!
Great info! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it Jeffrey!
Great video. Great products from a great company. What's next?
Thanks Bill!
Why can't I find this in north Florida? Need to find all of this but don't have a New Aire
You can go to NIRVC in Atlanta to get most of this!
Good day guys. Always happy to hear from you and I’ll never thank you enough for sharing. I have a question, if I may, would you recommend installing RetroBand on all tires, not just for the front tires? Thank you ahead of time for taking time to answer my question. I wish you a wonderful day!
Hey Michel! Thanks so much! Everything we've heard, read and researched only suggests having Retrobands on the steer tires.
Tell us about your new Jeep and what you had to do to make it towable

Can you go up a mountain pulling your tow vehicle at full highway speed? Or do you lack the horsepower to do that?
No, not quite! It’s good enough for us!
Is there a new version of the retrobands? I noticed yours are black versus the yellow ones.
Yes... this is the new version
Great video! When are y'all going back to jbrv?
Thanks! We're at JBRV. 😁
Hope you didn't hit your head... great preventative information!
Luckily there was no head hitting this time. 😂
How much for the fire protection system?
It matters what all you want to cover. Call Chuck Lasley at NIRVC Dallas & he can help you with that. I think we paid around 2k.
Excellent>. :-)))). :-)))))
Thanks David!
How can you find out where the RV rallies are going to be before they happen.
