To sum up the first trailer, since Clarus seemed confused. In the first game we beat Calamity Ganon, but in the trailer we realize that that was just an amalgamation of malice seeping out of the real Ganoncorpse stuck under ground. Tears of the Kingdom seems to start with him somehow breaking free and regaining his human form as Ganondorf.

@@ethanhull3209 Yeah George Lucas feels the same way, that is why it has been remastered a few times and has multiple changes since the theatrical cut.

Comparing an old movie to an old video game is doesn’t work well. A movie is completely consumption based. If the story is enjoyable, for the most to part, the technology limitations of the time doesn’t really matter. A video game is interactive. If the control scheme, gameplay, story, or even (yes) the graphics don’t hold up to modern video games, then people would be more likely to not enjoy that experience when compared to a movie. OOT was great when it was released. It has not aged well. For me personally, the control scheme is what makes it unenjoyable to play nowadays. Super Mario 64 and other early 3D based games suffer from similarly poor control and gameplay design, when compared to more advanced modern games… which, of course, many people still find reasons to complain about. In the end you like what you like, I like what I like, if they don’t align it doesn’t matter whatsoever.
Whoa. Ocarina of Time a bad game? I mean, everyone is allowed his or her own opinion, but.. Yeah.. @Cubic Intellect I never said it was garbage. I just said that it was wrong to say that it's objectively one of the best games of all time, because that's not true. It is, by definition, subjectively one of the best games of all time. Your argument that new games will age is also kinda irrelevant. They haven't aged yet, Ocarina has. The best modern games will probably not age amazingly. But they're certainly better than Ocarina cause they haven't aged yet. And when they do age, Ocarina will have aged even further. For something to be considered the best ever in any art form, it needs to be just as good if it was newly released today as it was when it was actually released. Games are just a rapidly aging medium because the technology is always advancing. Good game design can certainly stave off the aging to a degree, but it won't keep it from becoming worse than newer games. That's the fate of Ocarina imo. It was a great game when it was released, but it doesn't compare to the best modern games.
@@enotsnavdier6867 No I was refering to the lady saying Ocarina of Time being garbage. Not that you said it. Yes there are many modern games better than Ocarina of Time. It doesn't make the game far from being one of the greatest games since it was one of the most innovative and well developed games of all time even if times have changed and have moved past that. While there are better games, Ocarina is an example of how much it pushed the industry forward, how fun it was, how it impacted us, how it made us feel, and how it met player's expectations. That's how I and many others view a games overall rating. You could say Super Mario Odyssey is better than Mario 64. Better graphics better controls, with way more content and unique ways to play. However, Super Mario 64 is still so great and known as the greatest games of all time because of how fun it still is to play despite the janky controls and the awful camera. Even speedrunners still continue to play the game even with how much it's aged. It's obviously no comparison when putting a 25 year old game to a game that came out today but even so, it can still be held as one of the greatest games of all time. Its not just about how much one better than the other just because its MODERN and plays better. It is more than just that.

Ocarina is garbage. Twilight Princess is better than Ocarina AND Majoras mask. The main reason people like the 64 Zelda games is nostalgia. Because there was a new generation playing when those games came out. Which is fine, but in every aspect TP was better.
I'm less worried about how it will impress me and more concerned with how it will disappoint me. In past Zelda games, notifications that interrupt gameplay have become too frequent. BotW has far too much talking with npcs in a way that halts gameplay. I think it's too clean, boring, and most of all, annoying. I like games more when you can stay on the move, taking down more foes. I'm not talking Hyrule Warriors levels, but more to keep you active. Every screen in the original was usually packed. Feels like you spend minutes walking without trouble sometimes in BotW. I felt a major lack of enemy variety. I'm wondering why developers constantly scrap rich worlds with fauna AI. Why not reuse and build on them? New behaviors and cycles of random ones. I felt like the game needed more variety in enemies than the bokoblins, moblins, lynels, lizalfos, wizzrobes, and hinoxes. Colored variants just hit harder and take longer to beat. Yes there's mobs of other things like keese, but none of that was memorable. I just referenced a wiki, there's 13 types of enemies with variants, plus a few bosses. It amounted to almost 90 types of threats, but most is just recolors/redesigns with elemental differences. Link to the past had 154 threats plus 15 bosses. Ocarina of Time had 74 threats, 10 bosses, and Shadow Link. There is repetition in both of those games, but I don't know if it was enemy placement or variety, but it felt far more varied and so rich it tickled my imagination back then. BotW is technically the biggest and most filled with things to date, but I would like to see the the amount of enemies fully doubled or tripled. I did like that Moblins had new behaviors in the totk trailer, but I'm really hoping that this game is just as big and new as it was doing BotW the first time. One more thing. Not since the original and lttp have I had to battle the final boss a dozen times or more to get my first win. Every final boss since has been effortless to me at the time of playing. Ganon has gotten a talking lines for once. I hope they give us a good fight this time. Anyway that's a light explanation of what I'm hoping for.

But will the weapon system and overall inventory be as annoying as breath of the wild? Because honestly never finished it because of how tedious and dumb it was setup. Shame as a life long Zelda fan to not be able to finish a game because bad design just got to be too annoying to continue playing. Not to mention..... Horizon Zero dawn came out the same year as Breath of the Wild....... Come on Nintendo when will be put on the bigboy pants so we can get good looking games? I was a life long Nintendo fan till I got my first PC then the majority of my game time was spent on Blizzard products until about 8 years into world of warcraft. So it is a tad ironic that nintendos low end hardware and bad graphic games bother me since I played WoW for a total of 18 years on and off but yea. In the very least have the hardware to be able to handle the games you are putting out. Going to get the master sword in breath of the wild and having the framerate drop to 5 because of how much damn foliage they put in the area when the hardware couldnt handle it... come on man.
I do think Zelda will be playable since they are hinting that there is a reason why she is where she is and there are so many cutscenes with her there. Ofcourse not in the same level as link. Excited for being able to have allies it seems to be both a mix of the old characters from BOTW and new ones who are all the new champions I’m guessing.
