I was just looking up woodmount on the internet to show my girlfriend the beautiful estate and it’s heritage. My father was a general contractor and was 1 of the main contractors building the Museum & library and the building that’s across from it witch was built like less than 5 years prior. I helped my dad built this museum/library in 2010-2012 when I was in my early 20’s. This video definitely brings back memories and the bond I had working with my father

This is a huge property to maintain and it is wonderful that it is kept up. They are very generous in allowing the public to visit. When I was there I got to meet Mother Divine - she was very nice. If you are ever in the area you could see it first hand. Glad you liked the mansion and letting me know.

Absolutely beautiful place. The camera work is very shaky though. It was almost making me feel nauscious. Who was this Father Divine that he could afford this?

It’s the mount of the house of the Lord. It would’ve been torn down otherwise. Philadelphia Country Club wanted to buy the property so to expand the course across Spring Mill Road, and tear the manor house down of course. The Peace Mission Movement came to its rescue, and we can enjoy it today.
