I have a brother who is a narcissist and he created a lot of the same situations that you just talked about. He fell off a cliff but landed landed 10 ft down and made a joke of it, he also got a kick out of racing the black clouds chasing us out of the ocean in his fishing boat. Also tailgated in the rain and nearly icy conditions, poor judgment like you said and no consideration for others. You are very much right on the mark. First time listening to you, keep up the good work.

Certainly emphasizes the importance of developing individual skills coupled with adequate decision making abilities. Thanks Dan 😊

yes ....I had a narcissistic boyfriend in England and he would take walks along the cliffs in England by the Channel with a steep drop to the rocks below and I was terrified.....he got mad at me because I would not go to edge of the cliffs.....I have ended our relationship......he is a narcissist...who also led to me about many things.

Ty for sharing. So typical. Combo of both " lookat me" see how courageous as well as trying to shock and awe you. Glad you got out. Smart move.

This is very good! Hubris syndrome is an excellent way to describe this. Example: I had someone driving and they were going in the wrong direction but insist they are on the right path. Finally, they realize that they are wrong. I do not want to hang with this kind of person. Need to escape people who are demonstrating inability when they are describing themselves as as knowledgeable.

This is a good point - ask for help - I notice now a days - that people do not ask for directions anymore - they figure it all out online .
Also - people ask for help on Facebook and get criticized/ made fun of / told to go back to where they came from - etc .

The term is definitely overly used and i am a lay person but was with a classic overt with definitely more than 5 of the 9. They are extremely dangerous in the outdoors. It takes extensive planning and abilities. They typically enjoy camping, etc to be able to overindulge in their addictions of choice/ will leave to find new sources of supply at campsites, etc. He planned out the drinks/drugs more than anything smh. Not only are they inadequate at survival skills they will intentionally wreck equipment in order to trauma bond with you, the problems they cause are both intentional and unintentional, but it is anything but peaceful. Very sadistic individuals, just say no if they ever invite you out, you are gambling your life/not worth it. Learn the skills yourself and go with someone capable of empathy.

Ty for sharing. Sorry for your traumatic experience. So glad you are out of that relationship. Yes have had patients who report that similar scenario. Had one that her husband would loosen a spark plug or cut a belt just so his girlfriend thought he was a great guy and knew how to fix the car. It also kept her stranded. Be safe.

@@SurviveOutdoors just using the experience as a warning for those stuck in the trauma bond, too many are scared of getting out of the toxicity. Thankful and grateful to get out, thank you for the video.
