Where’s the lie though? I’m excited to see your generation having these conversations and putting a halt to this dysfunction.

Thanks for reading this book. You have a soothing voice and are easy to listen to. I am in my 60s and remember when this book came out and had Black people talking. I still wonder how much of this narrative was projection and self-hatred on her part, I don't know.

Thank you so much for the feedback and for watching! 🥰
I’ve watched a few of her older interviews and I believe she said she had some of these faults herself. It’s interesting to see this book and the topics in it still being discussed. I can’t wait to read what she has to say to women about understanding the Blackman.

she right in certain regards. I believe that romantic manipulation isn’t showing good character. You don’t need to play games in order to receive love However, young girls should learn how to vet their partner from young age in healthy and reasonable way!! Being caution is advisable and protecting herself is a must!! Man providing within reason is good! I believe both the Father and Mother should train their daughter in that! She gives black women protecting themselves a negative spin. Now there as some negative and toxic traits that BW have for sure!! Her reasoning are always deal in the worst case scenarios.

Thank you for watching and your input! She’s definitely laying hard into the negative traits women display, but I think it’s one of those “not all women” kind of stance. I watched an old interview of hers before reading this and she said something like “not every woman in this book does everything I’m saying..” almost like a ‘if it doesn’t apply, let it fly’ mentality.
For me, I’ve noticed either I’ve done these things or I know women who have. Definitely agree with you on the two parent rearing fasho!!
Thanks again for your input! 💓💓

@@UHLAWNTAY … True! I believe there were some good parts to this book. I agree with her on some aspects of modesty , having good morals and being service and family oriented. How did you feel about this part “if she ignores the authority and superiority of the Blackman, there is a penalty. When she crosses this line and becomes viciously insulting it is time for the Blackman to soundly slap her in the mouth,” … Did you like feel some parts of the book promoted violence against BW for disobedience?? The book seemed like it was giving black men things to watch out for and some factual but mostly opinionated background information. Maybe that was her goal. This books is missing solutions and actual conflict resolution techniques.
