How do you even type into the search box?!

My "Search" window has no place to type in a query. Is there something I am not doing?

When the height of your browser window is insufficient, the search area completely disappears. You can see it by: 1) Decreasing the font size (Ctrl -), or 2) Dragging down the bar separating Search from Search Results.

Seems Safari is not supported. I downloading Chrome and it worked right away so I would try that or FireFox browsers.

Hello Hans, When i first used this patent search portal on Google Chrome, I realised that there are four overlapped windows on the left side of the screen. This is why the window to enter search queries was hidden. Try to move them away to unhide your required one. Hope this will help.
      Good Day!

You have great videos. One critique you failed to mention the fact that you need to put a period at the end of the suffix . Without it, it doesn't work. Example: .ab. a period before and after.

Would love a more detailed video on this. I want to know how to do a more complex search where I search for the applicant and an adjacent word search. is that an option?

If you have a large selection after a search you and select some and "right click" and get "Create L# from Selected documents" -- Where do you find these L#'s? I also gather there is a way to exclude patents you have selected and created and L# for and be able to exclude them for showing up in other searches. I cannot seem to figure this out or find the documentation for it. Thanks

I've been binge watching all your videos, they are so helpful! When I click your youtube channel and go to it's homepage it says that you don't have any content, but when I click the "videos" tab it shows everything. Could just be on my end but wanted to let you know.

Thanks for the kind words and feedback... It was a setup on my end... hopefully if you visit the channel again, you'll see something on the homepage besides "no content"

Didn't US patent applications started getting published after 1994? The same year they changed patent term too

While searching for "mower blade" I add the operator ADJ. But I only want to search titles. So I add ".ti" to my search words and get nothing. ".ti" works for single words, but not multiiple words. What am I missing, please good sir?

    • @sparkh.9345

You have to add a period after the ".ti." then it will work

You are absolutely right. They fixed something that wasn't broken and the result is a total dumpster fire.

100% agree! I have to waste a lot of time with NO results achieving. The Basic Search is completely useless! The Advanced Search system keeps crashing, it's getting stocked. The old system was marvelous compared to the upgraded one!

I follow your radar.ab example, but the search tool returns "0 results found". Instead I try (radar).ab and it returns half a million documents. But the top document in the list has no radar in the abstract but in the background section. Uspto search seems broken. Am I missing something

    • @sparkh.9345
      @sparkh.9345 6 місяців тому +1

you have to put a period after the radar.AB. to get it to work.
