Great video! I enjoy your content; keep posting! Warmest wishes, -john
Thanks for the kind words!
Could I say once the examiner agreed with the claims, the patent is most likely granted? Thank you 😊
I would say this is the best tutorial if you want to apply for a patent yourself😊
If the invention has 500 variations, should I list All of them? such as a table top, I just write “ top is not limited to be round “, is this acceptable?
Could I know most of OA is before the publication or after?
many times an OA is received after publication, but they can occur before publication sometimes
@@InventorsQuickTips thank you, I didn’t get OA from USPTO but UK office did ask me to amend the claims before the publication. Maybe the claims are not correct
Thank you so much, practical and useful than most of videos here👍
Bravo! This content is great and very much welcome as its useful for new inventors👍
Well done and hit every point. Thanks
Thanks! I'm a student trying to read product design patents. I'm not from the US, so having a general guide to read gov-provided docs like this is helpful.
Is there more information about IDS - how when where to use it?
Terrible buzzer noise.
Do you help with writing full patents?
Great content! Enjoyed your video - keep up the good work. -john
Great video thank you puts thing into perspective. UK inventor trying to draft claims.
Thank you for this- I'm in my last semester of law school and taking patent law as an elective - you explain these topics in a much more understandable way than my case book!
Good Explanation
Thanks, I like the examples 😂
Hi is there an App to make a drawing
good
USPTO Pair is no longer available
Hi, if I write "turn the window 10 degree", then could I use " the rotatable window" in claims? is it acceptable?
Your question could hardly be any less clear. …If you want anyone to give you a serious answer you need to add a few words and describe better your question.
What will be the next great new thing that will revolutionalize the world? I know what it will be, neurological technologies for many different applications. Everything under the sun so to speak.
Are these notes/examples applicable to a design patent, utility patent, or both? Specifically the summary at the end. Thanks, great videos!
The patent that was the subject of this video was a utility patent. Thanks for watching!
I have this book and read it numerous times. It is excellent! I'm curious if you have any book recommendations which are more detailed regarding office action responses?
Clearly presented. Thank you.
Great video!!
Thanks for this valuable information ❤
Great advice thanks
Thank you! Valuable information.
"Brochure bullet points" - that's such an apt description and probably the most annoying feature of chatgpt. I try all sorts of wordings, and sample text and descriptions and still end with these summaries, as I call them.
How is the main enclosure numbered 102 in fig. 1 but 100 in fig. 2 and 3?
Good catch sir, yes it should have been 102 in Figs 2 and 3.
You have great videos. One critique you failed to mention the fact that you need to put a period at the end of the suffix . Without it, it doesn't work. Example: .ab. a period before and after.
Sure thing, but to the extent that structure and function are deeply inter-related, beit in nature or electronics (amongst other examples), I believe you can get away with just a design patent if you're low on money, and are very careful with the words used in your claim and the depiction of the drawing.
Very good lecture!
Excellent!!! Thanks
Excellent and very clear! Thanks
Thanks

Wouldn't a laser can opener application be rejected due obviousness? A laser is just a substitute for a blade or is a laser considered some kind of limitation that would get around it?
Just wondering, should the Claim 2 read "The widget of claim 1, further comprising a D coupled to the B?"... instead of the The widget of claim 2. The use of "the" somehow points back to Claim 1. Thanks for your help. Your videos are excellent!
Thanks!
